Background: In the realm of sports nursing, emergent and innovative educational models are built upon the foundation of stakeholder engagement. Despite the fact that numerous studies have examined the stakeholder perspective in nursing, a greater number of studies have examined stakeholder perspectives in curricula that emphasize athletic nursing. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the viewpoints and concerns of relevant parties regarding the creation of a baccalaureate nursing program with a specific emphasis on sports nursing. Methods: A phenomenological study was conducted. This method combines descriptive features (Husserlian) and interpretive phenomenology (Gadamerian). Nineteen stakeholders participated in this study. The interview was ended when data saturation was reached, especially theme redundancy. Results: Three major themes were identified: (1) “Bridges” Which Combines Education And Work Context; (2) Stakeholder Engagement, Controversial Issues (3) Stakeholder Engagement, Structuring A Methodology. This finding shows that. Conclusion: The obligation of nursing education to align with current and future practice needs is emphasized, suggesting strategies such as curriculum mapping to bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical practice. Stakeholder engagement is crucial for successful education and professional development. The purpose of this study, the effect of the situated game teaching model through setplays, which is an innovative model, on basic motor skills was investigated. In addition to the applications within the scope of the current curriculum, educational games applied for 8 weeks were conducted with situated game teaching model through setplays and their effects on basic motor skills were examined. Experimental and control groups included 62 2nd grade students in the 2020-2021 academic year. For 8 weeks, children were made to play with situated game teaching model through setplays 2 days a week and 40 minutes each. The short form of the second version of the Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Proficiency Test (BOT-2) was used as a measurement tool. Prior to the applications, the first tests of both the experimental group and the control group were taken, and after the applications, the final tests of both groups were taken. After the normality test, repeated measures ANOVA and SIMPLE EFFECTS tests were applied for mixed measures at α=0.05 significance level to determine whether there was a difference between the basic motor development levels depending on the program applied to the study groups and the duration of the study. A statistically significant difference was found between the 6 subtests of BOT-2 (Fine Motor Sensitivity and Integrity, Balance, Running Speed and Agility, Hand-Arm Coordination, Power) and Total Motor Compound values. As a result, educational games applied and situated game teaching model through setplays positively affect basic motor skill levels. Keywords: Situated game teaching, model, setplays, motor development, physical education.

This study aims to optimize recovery after acute exercise using a high-intensity interval method involving the strategy of providing massage to athletes. Exercise heart rate (HR Ex), heart recovery rate (HRR), and blood lactate levels are used as parameters of physiological fatigue due to physical exercise. 24 samples participated in this research; they were divided into 3 groups, namely the during and post-massage group (DPM), the post-massage group (PM), and the control group, namely passive recovery (PR). Each group consists of 8 samples; all samples will carry out high-intensity acute exercise using the Tabata method for 4 sessions. 1 training session is carried out for 4 minutes, and the rest for each session is 4 minutes. Descriptive analysis, paired sample t-tests, and two-way ANOVA were used in data analysis. The results of this study were that all data on fatigue indicators were normally distributed (p ≥ 0.05) and homogeneous (p ≤ 0.05), and there were differences in lactate concentrations at each time taking the lactate levels in each group (p ≤ 0.05). The average blood lactate levels of the three groups were stated to be significantly different after the training program ended for the DPM group (10.30±1.78 mmol/L), PM (12.9±2.05 mmol/L), and PR (13.62±2.87 mmol/L). This research concluded that giving massage has a better effect than passive recovery on recovery in terms of both heart rate and lactate levels. A recovery strategy using massage is the best strategy for managing blood lactate levels, although trainers must understand that giving a massage during training breaks and after the training program ends gives a different response to lactate levels after training ends. Small-sided games (SSGs) are played on reduced pitch areas, often using modified rules and involving a smaller number of players than traditional football. These games are less structured than traditional fitness training methods but are very popular training drills for players of all ages and levels. At present, there is relatively little information regarding how SSGs can best be used to improve physical capacities and technical or tactical skills in footballers. However, many prescriptive variables controlled by the coach can influence the exercise intensity during SSGs. In the context of soccer instruction, SSGs are frequently employed to give an engaging method of preserving the dynamics of an official game while making particular alterations to concentrate on certain behaviors and movements. Models for coaching provides some insight and guidelines into what coaches do. The purpose of the study is to build a coaching process model based on the "Small Sided Game" approach. The qualitative method was conducted in this study. The researcher used snowball sampling in which 10 sports schools coaches under NFDP program were interviewed. The numbers of participants were determined by saturation of information. The variation in exercise intensity during SSGs can improved with consistent coach encouragement but it is still more variable than traditional generic training methods. SSGs containing fewer players can exceed match intensity and elicit similar intensities to both long- and short-duration high- intensity interval running. This study implied the construction of the football coaching process model that can benefit the national football development at the grassroots level and provide alternative sources of knowledge for teachers or football coaches to coach their football teams. This article aims to measure how much knowledge, perception, and expectations society has regarding sports injury management and sports achievement. This research is descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. Total respondents in the study as many as 290 people. The data collected are demographic data and statements about knowledge, perceptions, and expectations regarding general health, injury, and sporting achievement. This statement is measured using the Likert scale. The majority of respondents were vulnerable aged 10-19 years (53.8%), and 62.8% of respondents from the general public. The frequency of physical activity performed by respondents was 2x/week (43.1%). Respondents' answers were in the excellent category for knowledge (70.3%), strongly agreed to perception (61.7%) expectations (73.8%). The entire group of both age, last education occupation, residence, respondent type, injury history, and frequency of physical activity had a sig > 0.05, which means no group is significantly related to both knowledge, perception, and expectations. The lack of sports medicine personnel causes most sports injuries currently managed by primary health facilities. Simultaneously, the treatment of sports injuries needs to be handled quickly and appropriately to prevent greater risk. If the handling of sports injuries is dealt with by people who have improper competence, it will impact the future of the athlete. Therefore, every sport of achievement needs to get assistance from sports medicine personnel. The system of mentoring athletes by competent doctors in sports, also supports the improvement of sports achievement coaching. The ITU World Triathlon Championship Series (WTS) is the top championship for triathlon in Sprint (SPD) and Olympic distance (OD). The influence of COVID-pandemic on triathlon is not yet clear. The aim of the present study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on performance in the WTS focusing on male and female categories and the SPD and OD. The Student's t-test for independent samples comparing sex and distances was used for normal variables, whereas the Mann-Whitney U-test was used for non-normal variables. The analysis of the OD revealed significant changes in all the studied variables for either sex. In this distance, men improved more in cycling performance and final performance than women (p values ˂0.001). The SPD displayed significant changes in performance in most of the analyzed variables. In this distance, men showed greater change values in swimming and cycling performance (p values ˂0.001) whereas women showed them in running performance (p value ˂0.001). The analysis of relative changes across the different distances revealed important significant differences in almost all variables. The variable with a larger effect size was the final performance (3.728; 12.605; 3.006). In overall, SPD shows better values of changes than OD in swimming, running performance and first transition phase (p values ˂0.001; ˂0.001; 0.001) but it is on the way around for the cycling and running performance (p values ˂0.001). These results suggest that triathletes participating in WTS in both sexes were able to not only maintain but also improve their final performance level despite COVID-19 pandemic. In this distance, men showed greater change values in swimming and cycling performance (p values ˂0.001) whereas women showed them in running performance (p value ˂0.001). The analysis of relative changes across the different distances revealed important significant differences in almost all variables. The variable with a larger effect size was the final performance (3.728; 12.605; 3.006). In overall, SPD shows better values of changes than OD in swimming, running performance and first transition phase (p values ˂0.001; ˂0.001; 0.001) but it is on the way around for the cycling and running performance (p values ˂0.001). These results suggest that triathletes participating in WTS in both sexes were able to not only maintain but also improve their final performance level despite COVID-19 pandemic.\u0000Keywords: SARS-CoV-2, World Championship, swimming, cycling, running, transition.","PeriodicalId":503742,"journal":{"name":"Retos","volume":"22 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141357470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The high demand in soccer leads to a high prevalence of injuries in the sport, with approximately 8 injuries per 1000 hours of play. Therefore, this systematic review with meta-analysis aimed to determine the effects and dose-response of eccentric training on hamstring injuries in soccer players. We searched various databases between June and October 2023 for this purpose. We selected only randomized controlled clinical trials that included interventions with Nordic or eccentric hamstring exercises performed by soccer players. Ten studies were included for qualitative analysis, and nine for quantitative analysis. The mean age of participants in the included studies was 22.03 ± 3.1 years, ranging from 14.7 years to 41 years. When calculating the overall Odds ratio, it was observed that performing Nordic exercises as part of the warm-up or after matches significantly decreased the probability of injuries (OR: 0.376; 95% CI: 0.241 - 0.586; p < 0.001). This systematic review with meta-analysis suggests that Nordic exercises are effective in reducing the likelihood of injury in soccer players, regardless of sex, level of competition, time of exercise, and dose used. However, better results were observed in male soc

This research aims to effect of long-term high-intensity plyometric training on the strength and power of the lower body muscles in young healthy males. A total of 40 healthy men, aged 20–24 years, with no history of chronic disease, were recruited to become research subjects and were divided into 2 groups: the control group (CTRL; n=20) and the high-intensity plyometric training group (HIPT; n=20). The intervention was carried out for six weeks, with a frequency of four times per week. Meanwhile, at CTRL, no special training is given. Measurements of muscle strength and power were carried out between the pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique uses a paired sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed the average muscle strength between the pretest and posttest on CTRL (117.75±19.39 to 118.55±16.27 kg, p=0.704), and HIPT (116.55±19.64 to 132.25±19.15 kg, p=0.000). Muscle power between the pretest and posttest on CTRL (52.10±6.95 to 52.70±6.53 cm, p=0.055), and HIPT (53.05±6.72 to 66.85±8.07 cm, p=0.000). This research proves that long-term high-intensity plyometric training increases lower-body muscle strength and power in healthy young males.
