Objective: This research investigates the effects of social media on the quality and functioning of democracy in Indonesia, especially in relation to the 2017 DKI Governor Election and the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Social media is a vital platform for political participation, mobilization and expression, as it enables citizens to access information, voice their opinions and engage with diverse perspectives. However, social media also poses risks and challenges for democracy, as it can be used to manipulate public opinion, spread misinformation and incite violence. Theoritical framework: The influence of negative campaigns on voting behavior and political participation has also been a focus of research, with studies analyzing the impact of campaign narratives and media attention on election outcomes. In this context, many studies have highlighted how campaigns dominated by negative narratives can influence voters' opinions and attitudes. Negative campaigns tend to focus attention on the weaknesses and defects of political opponents, often leading to polarization and dissatisfaction with the political process as a whole. Apart from that, the role of the media in strengthening or balancing the campaign narrative is also an important aspect to be researched. The mass media has great power in strengthening the narratives conveyed by candidates and political parties through the coverage, analysis and opinions they convey to the public. In this case, media attention to certain campaign narratives can influence voter perceptions and preferences. Methods: The research examines how social media was used by different political actors and groups to support or oppose Anies Baswedan, who was a candidate for the governor of DKI Jakarta in 2017 and is now a presidential candidate backed by the Nasdem Party, PKB and PKS. The research also analyzes the impact of social media on the political culture and values of the Indonesian society, as well as the opportunities and limitations for enhancing democratic accountability and transparency through social media. The data collection methods include interviews, document analysis and internet-based sources and social media from 2016 to 2017 Result & Conclusion: The research findings show that social media has both positive and negative effects on democracy, as it can foster civic engagement, deliberation and pluralism, but also create polarization, distrust and intolerance. Social media is the third most popular medium for spreading campaign content, after television and newspapers. The campaign content in the 2017 DKI Governor election was then used in a national context to undermine Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate, who was backed by the Nasdem Party and PKB, who were his political adversaries in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Governor election. Research Implications: Highlights the importance of responsible social media strategies to support democracy, recommending enhanced digital literacy

Introduction: The pursuit of justice and equity is a fundamental aspect of any modern legal system. In Indonesia, the development of a modern legal system that upholds human rights principles is a crucial step towards achieving a fair and just society. This article explores the role of Human Rights (HR) in the development of a modern legal system in Indonesia, with a focus on the province of Papua as a case study. Theoretical framework: This article adopts a theoretical framework that combines the concepts of human rights, legal development, and social justice. Human rights are fundamental rights and freedoms that every individual is entitled to, regardless of their race, religion, or social status. Legal development refers to the process of creating and implementing laws that protect and promote human rights. Social justice is the concept of creating a fair and equitable society where every individual has access to the same opportunities and resources. Method: This research employs a qualitative method using literature review and policy document analysis. A literature review was conducted to explore the concepts of human rights, legal development, and social justice. Policy document analysis was carried out to understand the objectives, structure, and implementation of human rights laws and policies in Indonesia, with a focus on Papua. Results and Conclusions: The development of a modern legal system in Indonesia, particularly in Papua, has been influenced by various factors, including historical, cultural, and political factors. The implementation of human rights laws and policies in Papua has faced challenges, including lack of awareness, resources, and political will. However, there have been some positive developments, such as the establishment of human rights commissions and the adoption of human rights education programs. The findings of this research indicate that the development of a modern legal system in Indonesia, particularly in Papua, requires a comprehensive approach that addresses the root causes of human rights violations and promotes social justice and equity. Effective and sustainable implementation of human rights laws and policies requires collaboration and commitment from various parties, including the government, civil society, and international organizations.

Purpose: This research investigates the impact of different interpretations of Indonesian Law on narcotics crimes, focusing on Articles 112 and 127. It examines court decisions to understand evidence application and distinguish between possession and self-use of narcotics. The aim is to improve consistency, fairness, and effectiveness in combating narcotics crimes. Theoretical Framework: This research uses legal and criminological theories to analyze the interpretation and application of law in narcotics crimes. Interpretivism focuses on language, judicial precedent, and societal norms, while legal positivism emphasizes formal rules. Labeling theory suggests inconsistent application can lead to stigmatization and marginalization. Social learning theory suggests discrepancies in law interpretation can influence perceptions and attitudes. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses a mixed-methods approach, combining normative and sociological juridical methods, with a statutory approach, to explore the interpretation and application of law in narcotics cases. It uses a literature review, document analysis, and qualitative data analysis to identify patterns, discrepancies, and trends in narcotics law interpretation. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of societal implications and criminogenic factors in narcotics cases. Findings: The research reveals significant discrepancies in the interpretation and application of Articles 112 and 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, leading to inconsistent treatment and punishment of perpetrators. This inconsistency contributes to criminogenic factors and perpetuates social stigmas, hindering efforts to address underlying issues and promote rehabilitation and harm reduction strategies. Research, Practical & Social Implication: The research highlights the complexities of narcotics laws, emphasizing the need for further research on factors influencing legal interpretations and the societal impacts of inconsistent enforcement practices. It also emphasizes the need for enhanced training for law enforcement and a multi-faceted approach to address social inequalities and promote fairness. Originality/Value: This research explores the impact of varying interpretations of narcotics laws on legal outcomes and societal dynamics. It integrates legal and sociological perspectives, analyzing court decisions to understand the complexities of narcotics offenses. The findings have practical implications for legal practitioners, law enforcement agencies, and policymakers, advancing scholarly understanding and informing policy.

Objective: Mental health problems in vulnerable groups in tidal flood areas include impaired self-concept, stress, and anxiety. Many policies regulate flood management especially to manage mental health problems in disaster areas. However, during tidal floods, the implementation of programs to handle psychosocial problems was not optimal. This research aims to develop policy recommendations to meet the need for the right to a healthy and prosperous life among vulnerable groups in tidal flood areas. Method: This research is a review type of research that examines the policies and legal norms that apply in Indonesia and is related to the tidal flood disaster situation. Prescriptive analysis is carried out by researchers so that researchers can describe problems based on the perspective of policy studies and legal norms that have been studied and analyzed using literature studies. Result: Various efforts to deal with tidal floods have been carried out, but they still focus on improving the physical environment and dealing with physical health problems. Mental health problems are still ignored because they tend not to be studied and presented by society and the government. Fulfillment of the right to health is unequal because it is not implemented holistically. Conclusion: Exposure to tidal floods that cannot be changed and prevented requires the existence of policies that regulate the prevention and treatment of mental health problems. Existing policies need to be integrated with each other so that they can be implemented technically by carrying out continuous mental health efforts.

Objective: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive caused by malnutrition and other health problems. Majene Regency is the region with the highest prevalence of stunted toddlers in West Sulawesi in 2022, namely 40.6% or twice as high as WHO standards. In general, this research aims to analyze the determinants of the incidence of stunting among toddlers in the working area of the Pamboang Community Health Center, Majene Regency. Method: This type of research uses an analytical observational method with a cross sectional approach. The research population was all 2137 toddlers in the working area of the Pamboang Community Health Center, Majene Regency with a sample of 326. Sampling was taken using a simple random sampling method representing 15 villages/districts. Respondents in this study were mothers of toddlers. Data was obtained directly using interviews according to the questionnaire. Data analysis uses univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis research using the chi-square test showed that there was no relationship between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting, with a value of p=0.673, which was a value of p>0.05. There is no relationship between latrine sanitation and the incidence of stunting, with a value of p=0.658, which is a value of p>0.05. There is no relationship between clean water sources and the incidence of stunting, with a value of p=0.533, which is a value of p>0.05. There is a relationship between parental education and the incidence of stunting, with a value of p=0.001, which is p<0.05. There is a relationship between parental income and the incidence of stunting, with a value of p=0.003, which is p<0.05. The results of multivariate analysis show that the most dominant factor is parental income with an Exp(B) value of 3,341.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of political communication, political leadership within political parties, political costs, and government support on public trust in Aceh Province. Theoretical framework: The urgency of analyzing political communication, political leadership within political parties, political costs, and government support for public trust in Aceh Province lies in the importance of understanding and enhancing the quality of the political process in the region. By deepening the understanding of these factors, efforts can be made to strengthen effective political communication, build quality political leadership, manage political costs effectively, and increase government support for political parties. While respondents expressed satisfaction with political costs in elections, there are concerns regarding the proportional relationship between high political costs and the perceived quality of political parties by the public. Government support for political parties was considered satisfactory as well. Public trust can be eroded by corruption, injustice, or government failure to meet public expectations. Therefore, it is important for political parties and the government to strengthen their relationship with the public through empowerment, openness, and responsiveness to public aspirations. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for political parties to improve their strategies. Effective political comm

Therefore, it is important for political parties and the government to strengthen their relationship with the public through empowerment, openness, and responsiveness to public aspirations. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for political parties to improve their strategies. Purpose: This research intends to build a performance index model of water allocation in watershed. Theoretical reference: Along with the population growth and the increasing of social and society economy condition, so water demand is also increasing for various usage. Water demand is increasing in quantity as well as quality. However, likely happen the water critic in the future (unbalanced between supply-demand) is due to population growth in certain region that is uncontrolled. Method: The research methodology consists of assessment water allocation based on the applicable rules in Ministry of PUPR (for being used as the model validation), to analyze the parameters that are influenced to the water allocation modelling by using WEAP (Water Evaluation and Planning) and SEM-Pls, then to build the performance index model of water allocation in the research location. Result and Conclusion: The research result shows that after being carried out the correlation test by using 2 methods that are simulation software methods of Smar-PLS and Pearson method, there is obtained the performance index model of watershed that is fitted with research location is as follow: IK = .. However, the classification of water allocation in the research area is as follow: Manjuto watershed, Selagan watershed, Air Dikit watershed, Teramang watershed, Muar watershed, Manna watershed, Padang Guci watershed, and Luas watershed are including non-critic watershed; Bengkenang watershed are including light-critic watershed; Kelam watershed and Nasal watershed are including moderate-critic watershed. Implication of research: It is needed to be carried out the monitoring of water allocation in a watershed for being analyzed related with availability and fulfillment the water demand that is user friendly and to be carried out easily. This research is conducted in 11 watershed that is spreading in Sumatera Island, Indonesia. Originality/value: To build a new model for assessing the performance index of water allocation in watershed.

Objective: The limitations of coastal communities are an obstacle to fulfilling passive voting rights in elections. It needs a concept to answer these problems. The purpose of this article is to give birth to the concept of fulfilling the passive voting rights of coastal communities as candidates for regional legislatures. Method: this normative legal research uses legal, principled, and conceptual approaches. Data are sourced from primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials which are analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. Result: the guarantee of universal suffrage is regulated in Article 27 of the Indonesian Constitution, Constitutional Court Decision Number 011-017/PUU-I/2003 and Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which guarantees respect for human rights without discrimination. The limited social life of coastal communities, which are classified as marginalized groups, is not a reason for not being able to fulfil their rights to become candidates for legislative members. Affirmative policies are needed to obtain equal opportunities to achieve equality and justice in the fulfilment of their rights. Conclusion: The presence of law is needed to help the process of changing society towards renewal. Three things are needed to fulfil the passive voting rights of coastal communities, namely the provision of affirmative policies, the pattern of cooperation of all stakeholders, and the improvement of human resources.

Introduction: COVID-19 cases in Indonesia have been detected since March 2020 with continuously increasing numbers. Monitoring of non-severe COVID-19 cases undergoing self-isolation is a challenge due to the limited number of medical personnel and facilities. Respinos is a device designed to measure a patient's respiratory rate, body temperature, and oxygen saturation connected to an online mobile application for telemedicine monitoring. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy and barriers that patients might feel with the Respinos diagnostic device. Methods: The study was a clinical trial with an intervention method performed on 97 patients with confirmed non-severe COVID-19 cases at Hasan Sadikin General Hospital from October to November 2021. Results: The portable respiratory diagnostic device, Respinos, showed measurements of respiration rate, body temperature, and patient saturation that were relatively the same (p>0.05) with manual measurements both on periodic measurements (morning, afternoon, and evening) as well as the daily average. Conclusion: Respinos can be considered a good monitoring tool for COVID-19 patients undergoing self-isolation as an aid for telemedicine.
