Purpose: Nigeria is amongst countries dedicated to attaining the SDGs by 2030. The Nigerian government, through budgetary allocation, policies and programmes, has pursue interest to empower the SMEs with the aim to create employment and reduce poverty. The of the article is to demonstrate how the activities of the SMEs affect reduces unemployment in the country. Methods: The paper applies the ARDL method to examine whether SMEs’ have effect poverty reduction. The estimation shows how SME contribution to GDP, alongside other independent variables - industrial output to GDP, and interest rate - transmit to impact poverty index. Results and Conclusions: The findings show that SMEs have significant negative effects on the two indicators for poverty reduction. The increase in in the SMEs outputs lowers the percentage of the Nigerian poor surviving on less than $5.50 and less than $1.90 per day. The result further shows that the interest rate is positively signed, supposing, in the long run increase interest rate, increase the poverty level according to both measures. Implications: The study suggests that the government should adequately fund the SME to enable them play major roles as medium to ensure reduction in the poverty rates in Nigeria. Originality/Value: The study adds values to extant literature by considering two robust indicators of poverty - the poverty headcount ratio and the poverty incidence – in considering the effect of SMEs’ outputs.

Purpose: The primary purposes of this present study are to show and compare 3 (three) different types of spillways, namely normal, differential, and labyrinth, by means of passing exceptional flood events with acceptable safety and margin for the dam and spillway while maintaining a hydraulic safety point of view. Theoretical reference: Ciawi dry dam is a homogenous type of dam with an inclined wet core built in the Ciliwung River, Jakarta, Indonesia. Its purpose is to retain 50 years of floods and cut the peak of floods as part of the Jakarta flood control system. It has been functioning since the year 2022 with another dry dam in the same River basin called the Sukamahi dry dam. Method: The flood control capacity of the dry dam with a spillway and gateless bottom outlets designed at the riverbed level is investigated with an analytical approach using a theoretical formula. Numerous design discharges were verified and compared for specific scenarios engaging the operation of bottom outlets reviewed based on flood control and the safety of the dam. In addition, a spillways type comparison is made for a scenario with one gate opening and one gate closing of the bottom outlet using PMF design discharge to confirm the satisfaction of dry dam outlet capacity. Result and Conclusion: The best design choice that can be recommended for the worst scenario is the Labyrinth spillway with a width of 155m and an angle of 18o while the spillway span width is kept to the same existing normal spillway width. This proposed design improvement option with labyrinth spillway for the PMF flood discharge still has a freeboard of 1.17 m allowance to the crest of the dam in the closed gate condition, 1.88 m of freeboard in 1 gate opened condition, and 2.55 m of freeboard while both gates are opened. Implication of research: This present study evaluates the performance of a dry dam design outlet in flood control by assessing the reservoir capacity to compare the existing built normal spillway with the other types of spillways, namely differential and labyrinth. It will recommend an alternative type of spillway for the Ciawi dry dam or another dam to face global climate change and a future challenge. Originality/value: The comprehensive investigation of the limitations and benefits of comparing 3 different types of spillways: normal, differential and labyrinth, with a combination scenario of 2 gates opening and closing in the embankment type of dry dam. This proposed type of spillway could be used for upgrading works and even for a new dam.

Objective: Objective study This is the application of restorative justice to resolving sexual crimes in the city of Medan. One important aspect of implementing restorative justice is the development of a different mindset in the justice system. This system rejects the conventional view, which only views the perpetrator as the object of punishment and the victim as the party who has the right to obtain justice through sanctions against the perpetrator. In contrast, a restorative approach sees perpetrators as individuals who can take responsibility for their actions and have the potential to improve themselves. Apart from that, victims are also considered an integral part of the recovery process, and the community is given a more active role in supporting this process. Methods: As for the method of study This is a qualitative study, and research qualitative is a research method used to understand social phenomena in depth. The researcher used a case study because it allowed them to gain a deep understanding of the context, process, and complexity of the phenomenon being studied. Type study This possible researcher will dig for perspective, experience, and possible meaning hidden in the data collected related to restorative justice in resolving sexual crimes in the city of Medan. Then the researcher analyzes or draws an interesting conclusion to find an answer from the researchers thorough. Conclusions: Results from the study show that the implementation of restorative justice for sexual harassment cases in Medan faces a number of challenges involving complexity, sensitivity, and perceptions of justice. Findings from observations and interviews with court officials show that the use of restorative justice in this context is still rarely adopted. The main factors causing this low adoption involve the complexity of sexual assault cases, a lack of understanding of restorative justice, and concerns about the safety and protection of victims.

Purpose: Understanding how consumers feel about buying Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) from other countries is an important topic for researchers around the world. The goal of this investigation is to identify the elements determining consumer preferences. Methodology: This study uses analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine the relevance of the factors determining customers' preferences towards foreign FMCG items. In order to investigate the effects of several variables, including cultural considerations (F1), cost considerations (F2), societal consequences (F3), goods specifications (F4), self-related characteristics (F5) and emotional determinants (F6), the study employs information gathered from a sample of 250 customers. This study determines which variables possess the biggest effects on consumer behaviour by using ANOVA. The relative significance of these factors in influencing customer preferences can be determined through a systematic examination of the variation in these components and their corresponding stages, made possible by ANOVA. Findings: It was discovered that although F2 had no discernible impact on the decision to buy, factors such F1, F3, F4, F5 and F6 had a beneficial effect on consumer behaviour. The most important variable affecting how FMCG product consumers behaved was factor F1.

Purpose: This study consolidates core theories pertaining to social comparison, particularly upward comparison, impulsive buying behavior and notions associated with social characteristics such as envy, self-esteem, negative mood, depression and self-efficacy. At the same time, provide hypotheses and study models connected to the impact of social comparison on negative psychology and impulsive purchase behavior of customers in Vietnam. Method: Furthermore, this subject employed qualitative research methods such as group discussions and in-depth interviews with experts to reach a consensus on the definition of components, as well as to refine and enhance the measuring scales used to assess these factors. Subsequently, establish a foundation for carrying out initial quantitative investigation in order to finalize the official questionnaire, and subsequently proceed with the official quantitative study. A representative survey was conducted with a sample size of 647 customers who utilize social networks and engage in online shopping on e-commerce platforms. The study was conducted in major cities in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, Can Tho and Bien Hoa. Result: Experimental research results have indicated that upward social comparison has a negative influence on self-esteem but a favorable impact on envy and negative mood. Simultaneously, increased self-esteem decreases depression and impulsive buying tendencies, whereas feelings of envy and negative mood have a beneficial effect. Conclusion: Additionally, the research findings demonstrate the influence of self-efficacy as a moderator and dedepression as a mediator. These findings provide a foundation for the researcher to suggest managerial recommendations for organizations to enhance client purchasing behavior.

Objective: The implementation of internal quality assurance in higher education faces many obstacles. This research is focused on the obstacles of implementing the internal quality assurance system in Private higher education. Internal quality assurance system is a system carried out by universities independently. Method: The approach used in this research is qualitative with case study method. The case studied is the obstacle to the implementation of internal quality assurance system. Data collection uses combining an internal document review with semi-structured interviews. The qualitative interview data were subject to thematic analysis, a method for systematically identifying, organizing, and offering insight into patterns of meaning across a dataset. Result: In terms of administrative obstacles, it was found that the internal quality assurance agency at Puangrimaggalatung University only had 62.5% of standard documents. The organizational constraints found include 1) Limited understanding of internal quality assurance system only for structural officials, not for all but not for all stake holders in tertiary institutions. 2) Difficulties in determining measurable indicators of successful implementation of the internal quality assurance system, and 3) Unclear responsibilities among various structural positions resulting in overlapping of authority, which complicates internal quality assurance system implementation. In terms of psychological constraints, data is obtained in the form of neglect, disdain or cynical attitude towards quality assurance systems and processes. Conclusion: Based on an in-depth study of the data that has been collected, it is concluded that the implementation of the internal quality assurance system at private universities is going well however. there are obstacles in 3 areas, namely 1) Administrative obstacles 2) organizational obstacles and 3) psychological obstacles.
