Purpose: The current research investigates the portrayal of the parent- children relationship in prime-time entertainment television dramas of Pakistan. Relationship between parenting style and socio-economic status of the parents has been analyzed. Design/Methodology/Approach: Quantitative Content Analysis has been applied to measure the portrayal of parents in Drama serials. Top three entertainment channels ARY Digital, Hum TV and Geo TV were the targeted channels and parent-children based episodes were selected through purposive sampling. Out of 147 episodes, 308 scenes were selected. Scenes were coded on the predefined categories found in existing literature. Findings: The results showed that there was not much significant relationship found between socio-economic status of the parents and their parenting style. However, generation raised by parents with high socio-economic status showed submissive behavior towards their parents while the children raised by parents with low socio-economic status showed disrespectful behavior to their parents. Implications/Originality/Value: The findings suggest policy consideration to Pakistan Media Regulatory Authority regarding parents’ portrayal in drama serials. As respecting parents is our cultural value without any difference in socio economic status. But more materialistic approach is being projected in TV channels which need a second thought as the social norms.

Purpose: The primary objective of this study is to develop an inclusive model that represents the relationship between entrepreneurial intentions and religiosity. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research was conducted using sample of 338 undergraduate business students from universities in Punjab, Pakistan. The method used for collecting data was through self-administered questionnaire survey which contained two sections related to demographic characteristics and constructs of religiosity and entrepreneurial intentions. Analysis on the data was done using PLS-SEM. Findings: Contrary to the theory, the results revealed that entrepreneurial goal intention (EGI) is not influenced by social norms. However, EGI is positively influenced by extrinsic and intrinsic religiosity, perceived desirability, and opportunity for entrepreneurship, where extrinsic and intrinsic religiosity was found to have a mediating role between opportunity for entrepreneurship and EGI. Implications/Originality/Value: Deeper understanding of how religiosity influences entrepreneurial intentions in different cultures, settings and situations could help in the further advancements of knowledge in this field of study. Religious leaders, policy makers, university administrators can utilize the results of this study to encourage entrepreneurship in the country.

Purpose: Although Single National Curriculum (SNC) is implemented in all over the country from April 2021 at primary level as per commitment of the ruling party in Pakistan. However, the pre-existing and implemented curriculum formulated by Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board is still followed in special education institutions of Punjab because preparation process is still going on for the implementation of SNC in these institutions. The academic capability of Children with Visual Impairment (CWVI) is usually considered as that of non-disabled students due to their good cognitive skills. Directorate of Special Education Punjab adopted the same curriculum for CWVI. This study is an effort to identify the standards, benchmarks and student learning outcomes (SLOs) which are difficult to accomplish for CWVI. Methodology: It was a descriptive qualitative study by nature and curriculum review/document analysis technique was applied to study the implemented and existing curriculum. The complete curriculum of six key learning areas at pre-primary level proposed by implemented curriculum are as follows; personal and social development, language and literacy, basic mathematical concepts, the world around us, health, hygiene and safety and creative arts. Similarly existing curriculum offers following subjects at primary level; Islamiat/ Ethics and morality, Urdu, English, Maths, Science, General Knowledge and Social Studies. The data were retrieved from the website of Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board. Collected information was coded; major themes were derived and interpreted. Findings: Results revealed that a large number of standards, benchmarks and student learning outcomes (SLOs) were easy to accomplish for CWVI as non-disabled children but many standards, benchmarks and SLOs were not easy to accomplish for CWVI due to their visual limitations and lack of sufficient need-based support. Implications: Proper adaptations, modifications and accommodations can be made for CWVI specially to attain the geometry, science and geography related standards, benchmarks and SLOs including adaptations proposed by Directorate General of Special Education Punjab. Pictorial representations and visual tasks can be substituted with some other learning tasks for CWVI.

Collected information was coded; major themes were derived and interpreted. \u0000Findings: Results revealed that a large number of standards, benchmarks and student learning outcomes (SLOs) were easy to accomplish for CWVI as non-disabled children but many standards, benchmarks and SLOs were not easy to accomplish for CWVI due to their visual limitations and lack of sufficient need-based support. \u0000Implications: Proper adaptations, modifications and accommodations can be made for CWVI specially to attain the geometry, science and geography related standards, benchmarks and SLOs including adaptations proposed by Directorate General of Special Education Punjab. Pictorial representations and visual tasks can be substituted with some other learning tasks for CWVI. \u0000

Purpose: The first generation of endogenous growth models express human capital is the key driver force of long run economic growth. However, the received empirical literature on the role of human capital in the long run economic growth is still inconclusive. Keeping in view the inconclusiveness of empirical literature, in this study we try to investigate the role of human capital in terms of different indicators of health and education in the long run economic growth. Design/Methodology/Approach: The empirical estimations have been carried out though Pooled OLS using data set of 43 developing countries spanning from 1990 to 2018. Findings: The results of the study indicate that all education indicators signify its role in long run economic growth. Moreover, the other proxies of human capital education and health expenditures enter the model with positively and negatively respectively. However, health expenditure indicates significant effect on economic growth once it becomes conditional to education expenditure (the interactive term of education and health expenditures). Implications/Originality/Value: Findings of the study call for the attraction of public policy makers to rotate more resources to the accumulation of human capital in order to keep sustainable long run economic growth.
