The Role of Organizational Culture in the Implementation of E-Administration: A Field Study at Banks in Hodeidah 组织文化在电子管理实施中的作用——以荷台达省银行为例

The study aimed to identify the organizational culture practice and its impact on the application of e-administration in the banks operating in Hodeidah. The study used the descriptive analytical method. Since the study population consisted of only (146) administrative staff members, (126) members were selected by the complete census method to whom the questionnaire was distributed to collect relevant data. Major findings showed various degrees in the level of organizational culture and e-administration in favor of the independent variable (organizational culture). Findings also showed statistically significant positive impact of organizational culture represented by its four dimensions (organizational norms, organizational expectations, organizational values, and organizational beliefs) on the application of e-administration. Furthermore, it was found that there were no statistically significant differences of the mean scores among sample's responses on the level of application of e-administration attributed to their demographic variables. However, there were statistically significant differences in the level of organizational culture attributed to gender and courses of computer skills, but there were no differences in other demographic variables. The study recommends that organizational culture in banks regulations should be promoted in order to help them introduce modern technology (e-administration) in all their activities.

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between the criteria for granting bank credit and the quality of the audited financial statements by conducting a field study in traditional banks in the Republic of Yemen. In order to achieve this objective, a questionnaire was used for collecting data from the study population consisted of (9) traditional banks. The complete census sampling method was used for the sample of (119) employees. The actual no. of questionnaires, valid for analysis, was 104. The data were processed and analyzed using SPSS. The results of the study revealed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the criteria of granting credit (related to customer, bank and credit) and the quality of the audited financial statements. The study recommends that the quality of audited financial statements should be enhanced and their role should be activated in decision making. The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Administrative Empowerment: A Field Study at Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Yemen 变革型领导对行政授权的影响:也门制药企业的实地研究

The study aimed to measure the impact of transformational leadership on administrative empowerment, and identify the level of practicing it at pharmaceutical manufacturers in Yemen. It also aimed to identify the level of administrative empowerment practice in these companies. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive and analytical method was adopted, and a questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 330 participants selected by the complete sensus sampling method. However, only 227 of the questionnaires were valid for analysis. For data analysis, many descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used. Findings revealed that the level of practicing transformational leadership did not reach the expected level, as the mean was just medium. There were differences at the level of practicing the dimensions of transformational leadership; the highest effective difference was the intellectual arousal and the least one was the individualized consideration. Findings also showed that the level of administrative empowerment practice was medium, and the practice level of the dimension of authority delegation was high while participation in decision-making was low. Moreover, there were differences at the level of the impact of the dimensions of transformational leadership on administrative empowerment; the highest effective difference was the ideal effect and the least one was the individualized consideration. The study stressed the need to adopt various dimensions of transformational leadership, at pharmaceutical manufacturers in Yemen, with an emphasis on individualized consideration as this can have a great impact on administrative empowerment. The study aimed to identify the impact level of administrative empowerment on employees' creativity at Kamaran Factory. The analytical descriptive method was used and the study population consisted of all the employees (400) who work in the factory. 133 employees were selected for the study using the random stratified method. The questionnaire was used to collect data from the study sample and the SPSS V20 package was used for the statistical analysis. Major study findings revealed that there were varying degrees of the level of practicing administrative empowerment and the employees' creativity in favor of the dependent variable (employees' creativity). There was also a statistically direct effect of the independent variable (administrative empowerment) on the employees' creativity at Kamaran factory.  Further, (44%) of the variables that occur in the employees' creativity were attributed to the variables which occur in the administrative empowerment, and the remaining (56%) were attributed to other factors which are beyond the scope of this study. The Impact of Transformational Leadership on the Effectiveness of Administrative Decisions: A Field Study at Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Yemen 变革型领导对行政决策有效性的影响:也门制药企业的实地研究

This study aimed to assess the effect of transformational leadership on the effectiveness of administrative decisions and to identify the level of practicing it in pharmaceutical companies in Yemen. It also aimed to identify any statistically significant differences among the participants› responses regarding the effectiveness of administrative decisions attributed to organizational variables, including company age, size and ownership. To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive analytical method was used and a questionnaire was administered to a sample of 330 participants selected by the complete census sampling method from nine pharmaceutical companies in Yemen. Only 273 questionnaires were valid for statistical analysis. Major findings revealed that the companies under study have shown paramount interest in the effectiveness of administrative decisions, including all dimensions, where the mean of the level of performance was high. However, the level of practicing transformational leadership did not reach the level of decision effectiveness, where the practice level was medium. Furthermore, there were differences at the level of the impact of the dimensions of transformational leadership on the effectiveness of administrative decisions; the highest effective difference was the individualized consideration, and the least one was the inspiration motivation. The study stressed the need to promote the practice of transformational leadership in companies so as to achieve effective administrative decisions. Constraints Yemeni Undergraduates Face in Subtitling Audiovisual Materials 制约也门大学生在视听材料字幕中的面子

This study attempted to investigate the potential constraints that the Yemeni undergraduates face in subtitling audiovisual materials. The challenges of English-Arabic subtitling are under three domains; linguistic, technical and attitudinal. University of Science and Technology (UST) is barely the benchmarking academic institution that gives training on subtitling. UST was perceived as an ideal place to curry out the study. A triangulation was the methodology of the paper. A questionnaire along with a test were administered and given to 38 participants. The results of the study declared that the linguistic domain is still taking the lead. The second domain was the technical challenges. The emotive or attitudinal constraints were the least challenging. The paper gave recommendations to overcome these constraints. Conclusion and recommendations of the study can be taken in other countries that undergo similar conditions. Keywords: audiovisual translation, subtitling, UST, Yemen.

Investigating University Students' Failure in English Requirement Courses 大学生英语必修课不及格现象调查

Some university students might fail at their first attempt to study English requirement courses, but later they perform well, ultimately recognizing that the courses were easy and their failure in such simple courses was a great loss. Others continue failing, get frustrated and finally may quit trying. The purpose of the current study, therefore, was to investigate the factors that contribute to university non-English major students' failure in English courses. A mixed model questionnaire was used to collect data from 56 male students who failed English at the University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia. All participants had previously failed English and were repeating the English requirement course during the period of data collection. Results of the study revealed that factors such as teachers, anxiety and inappropriate study methods were more responsible for students' failure than motivation, friends and family problems. Results also showed a significant difference between students who only failed the English course and those who failed two or more other courses. Those who failed two or more courses scored higher on anxiety than those who failed only English. Recommendations were that English teachers should be trained to follow collaborative learning and student-centered approaches and that the English curriculum for non-English major students should reflect their major. The Relation between Postulations of Behavioral and Traditional Economics with Reference to Islamic Economics 从伊斯兰经济学看行为经济学与传统经济学的关系

The study examines the main postulations of behavioral economics, which is based on the integration of psychological and neurological determinants in economics, in order to provide a better understanding of individuals' economic behaviors. These postulations attempt to make economics a human discipline, where there is a reference to the falsity of the postulations which say that economics is a neutral science and that it should be separated from ethics. The study focused on analyzing the nature of the link and relationship between behavioral economics and contemporary (traditional) economics, which represents a new branch of contemporary economics; but it is not a substitute for it. The study also assessed the level of similarity between behavioral economics and the method of analysis in Islamic economics. The study adopted the descriptive and analytical method. The findings revealed that there is a new bridge of communication between contemporary economics and Islamic economics, where the behavioral economics had a role in its construction. In many cases, this may seem to be one of the rules of economic behavior of individuals and the society.
