Referring to Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI), the highest perpetrators in family violence were mothers (22%), but there has not been much research on the violence transmission from parents to children and the role of forgiveness as a protective factor. This study aims to examine the role of forgiveness as a moderator of the relationship between the perceived unfair treatment by family members of origin and anger with their own children. Participants involved in this study were 63 mothers who perceived unfair treatment by family members of origin and had children aged between 2 to 7 years old. Data were collected using 3 scales: Personal Forgiveness Scale, Family of Origin Hurt Scale, and Attitude toward Child Scale. The multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the perceived unfair treatment and anger with one's own child (gender similarity transmission sample, r = .75, p = .000,n = 31; all sample, r = .77, p = .000, n = 63). The analysis for gender similarity transmission sample showed that 56.7% (and for all samples, 58.4) of the variance in anger with one's own child was explained by the perceived unfair treatment by the mother. Meanwhile, forgiveness does not play as a moderator variable in the association of both variables. The implications of the results of this study are discussed.

As a construct which promotes having compassion for ourselves, self-compassion has been found to have an inconsistent relationship with prosocial behaviour. However, the relationship between self-compassion and prosocial behaviour might be mediated by another predictor, such as empathy. The lack of literature discussing self-compassion in adolescents also encouraged this research. In this study, we examine the mechanism between self-compassion and prosocial behaviour through empathy as a possible mediating factor. Participants of this study were 303 adolescents in Indonesia aged 11-18 years old who filled out Self-Compassion Scale, Basic Empathy Scale and Prosocial Tendencies Measure-Revised. All the data were analyzed using the mediation analysis using approach introduced by Hayes. The results of statistical analysis showed there was a direct significant effect of self-compassionon prosocial behaviour (c = 0.10, p<0.05), and there was no significant effect from self-compassionon empathy (b=0.04, 95% CI [-0.030, 0.101]). Therefore, there was no indirect effect from self-compassionto prosocial behaviour through empathy. It can be concluded that empathy is not a mediator in the relationship between self-compassion and prosocial behaviour in adolescents.

Student mental health is a problem that is of concern to many parties, and until now it still requires follow-up. Entering adolescence into adulthood makes students susceptible to psychological problems, which are influenced by internal factors, one of which is self-esteem and external factors, one of which is family harmony. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and family harmony with mental health in students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The participants were 101 undergraduate students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, who were selected by convenience sampling. The data collection method used a mental health scale, self-esteem scale, and family harmony. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis shows that self-esteem and family harmony together have a significant relationship with the mental health of Muhammadiyah University Surakarta students with a value of F = 88.137 (p = 0.000) and effective contribution (64.3%. Based on these results, it means that the better the level of self-esteem and family harmony, the better the mental health condition of students, and vice versa. These findings are expected to encourage universities, families, and students to help in maintaining students’ mental health conditions.

Openness , which is indicated by high curiosity, open-mindedness, imaginativeness and willingness to try new things, has often been associated with academic achievement. Motivation directs traits and behaviors towards achievement and is therefore considered a determinant of academic achievement. The purpose of this study was to examine motivation as a mediator in the role of openness on student academic achievement. Students fill out a questionnaire to measure the four variables. The measurement of academic achievement uses data grade point average (GPA) of students. The instrument for measuring openness uses the openness scale on the Neo-FFI (Costa & McCrae, 1992), which was translated by the Research and Measurement Section of the Faculty of Psychology, Tarumanagara University (Cronbach’s alpha = 0,740). Motivation, as a mediator variable, was measured using the Academic Motivation Scale (Vallerand, 1992), which was adapted into Indonesian by Marvianto & Widhiarso (2018) (Cronbach’s alpha = 0,854). Participants were 207 undergraduate students (S1) from various universities and study programs aged 17 – 22 years. Data analysis used moderation regression analysis from Barron and Kenny (1986). The results showed that academic motivation is a mediator in the role of openness on student academic achievement.

Aggressive behavior is often a problem that arises in adolescents. Aggressive behavior is related to the lack of adolescent skills in regulating emotions. Adolescents with insecure attachments will have poor emotional regulation. In addition, insecure attachment can be a predictor of the emergence of aggressive behavior in adolescents. This study aims to determine whether emotional regulation mediates the relationship between insecure attachment and aggressive behavior in adolescents. This research is a quantitative study involving 459 respondents who are still actively attending junior high school in the city of Semarang and aged 12-15 years, which were obtained by accidental sampling. Data were obtained using the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire Short Form, The Experiences in Close Relationships — Revised General Short Form (ECR-R-GSF), and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), which were then analyzed using path analysis. This research gets the results that emotion regulation mediates the relationship between insecure attachment and aggressive behavior (p = 0,000 < 0,05). In addition aggressive behavior can be influenced by emotional regulation (β = -.207, p = .000) and emotional regulation and insecure attachment have an influence of 17.3% on aggressive behavior, the rest is contributed by other variables.

Human resources are seen as very important assets because humans are a dynamic resource and are always needed in every process of producing goods and services. Perceived organizational support is one of the factors that influence the work engagement that belongs to the group of job resources. In addition, employee resilience is a positive self-assessment related to the ability of individuals to control their environment and work. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether perceived organizational support and employee resilience predict work engagement. The samples used in this study were employees of the Directorate of Human Resources and General Affairs at Head Office Public Broadcasting Institution Radio of The Republic of Indonesia, which numbered 48 employees. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that perceived organizational support and employee resilience had a very significant influence on employees’ work engagement. However, perceived organizational support contributed independently to a significantly higher contribution than employee resilience did.

Academic achievement in higher education is the foundation of student success and excellence. This achievement can be achieved with good mental health such as high subjective well-being. In this case, to achieve high subjective well-being, it is necessary to pay attention to the influencing factors. In many studies that have been done predictors that affect subjective well-being are the variables Psychological Capital (PsyCap) and Spirituality (Avey dkk., 2010); (Luthans & Luthans, 2015); (Lun & Bond, 2013). The purpose of this study was to see the effect of Psychological Capital and Spirituality on subjective well-being in students. The subjects in this study were students of one of the universities in Riau as many as 565 students. The data in this study were obtained using the PsyCap scale (Luthans dkk., 2007), the spirituality scale (Dasti & Sitwat, 2014)
