In this paper, the potential for implementation of a hybrid off-grid PV/wind/diesel/battery storage microgrid energy system in the south-western village of Egypt, Abu-Monqar, has been demonstrated. This paper studies the possibility of a combination of renewable energy sources with the present diesel generators to cover the demand for energy in this village. Hybrid optimization model for electric renewable (HOMER) simulation software has been used to perform the economic analysis of the hybrid system. Four different configurations for the system have been studied. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid microgrid system is economically viable and will be a convenient solution for electrification in this area.

For implementing high-tech microelectronic production processes, particularly clean conditions are required as determined by technological microclimate. This paper analyzes the thermodynamic efficiency of the research system we make a balance for a scheme of air-conditioning for clean rooms on the basis of which absolute and relative characteristics of the system are determined, and then Grassmann diagrams are constructed. These fully reflect the fluxes and losses of exergy. The analysis of Grassmann diagrams in warm and cold periods of the year shows that to increase the coefficient of exergy in the warm period of the year (+13 °С). It is necessary to reduce exergy losses during the processes of humidification and heating of air, and in cold period (−3 °С) exergy losses are evenly distributed, and the system should be improved.

this paper describes the detection and classification of fabric defects based on digital image processing. The work is intended to provide the higher speed and accuracy of defect detection than human vision and to find the source of the defects. At first, we find the size and position of wefts or warps from an image. Then calculate the pattern of weft and warp positions and figure out whether there is a defect or not. The patterns of weft and warp may differ based on the type of fabrics. Sample pattern of good fabric is used to detect and classify the defect of the fabric with same pattern. OpenCV library and python programming language is used for the experiment. Seven kinds of defects on the fabrics model images are detected and five real fabric images are used for the experiment. The experiment shows the result of successful defect detection with 95% rate, and it is 50% faster than human vision in fabrics density calculation.

Analog to digital conversion is an important part of almost any electronic system that includes analog sensors. Currently, the characteristics of analog-to-digital converters (ADC) meet the most modern requirements of the electronics industry. These requirements include such parameters as noise immunity, implementation complexity, manufacturing cost, conversion accuracy, and frequency. This article describes the principle of converting an analog signal into a pulse duration based on a phase-locked loop (PLL). An analog signal received from a magneto-resistive current sensor, which is used to convert a magnetic field into a voltage. Building a PLL-based ADC gives a number of advantages. Negative feedback of the PLL circuit allows the device to minimize the errors of the passive circuit elements, including the effect of temperatures on the resistor ratings and filter interference at coherent conversion frequencies.

In the presented work the research of the structure of the tooth enamel was made using Cole-Cole curves. The results of the study show the dependence of the complex impedance and its phase as function of frequency. Based on this, impedance diagrams (Cole-Cole) for molars are constructed. These studies were made with the same external conditions at different distances from the masticatory surface of the tooth using an Immittance meter E7-20. Estimated data on the size of the structural elements of enamel are obtained using the diagrams. It turned out that with increased distance from the masticatory surface the sizes of the tooth structure elements also increase. The comparison of this data with the AFM studies of the same areas of the tooth provides evidence that the diagrams reflect the actual dimensions of the elements of the tooth structures.

In this paper we consider polymeric wastes, which occupy one of the first places in the composition of municipal solid waste. The effect of polyethylene waste on the environment, humans and wildlife is considered. An environmental program "Biodegradable" was developed, which allows you to quickly assess the feasibility of technical and economic measures to replace most of the polyethylene waste by biodegradable to improve the quality of the environment in a particular area.

Modern requirements for the Active Phased Array Antenna (APAA) characteristics lead to the use of a large number of elements of an antenna array with each element of APAA corresponds to a receiving, transmitting or receiving-transmitting module. This article considers the problem of increasing the distance between the antenna array elements in order to reduce its number while maintaining the directional scanning properties. This issue is addressed by presenting the model of a modular circular antenna array with considered advantages and disadvantages. Radiation pattern side lobe level (SLL) and the width of the main lobe at different scan angles are presented. The main advantage of the presented array model is its modular structure. It is possible to adjust the modules of the array to obtain the smallest SLL and control diffraction peaks during operation. Such solution results in improved overall performance, simplified design of concentric APAA and improved manufacturability.

Telemedicine systems for continuous monitoring of a patient’s condition with the possibility of a therapeutic impact are poorly investigated and require detailed consideration. The method of remote personalized medical care has been developed. The scheme of the biotechnical system and its hierarchical structure are given. In order to ensure the reliability of operation, the system has two control loops for providing the following modes of operation: the autonomous mode for interacting between a patient and the system using a portable mobile device; the control mode for a physician using a server interface of a health facility. The general structure of the system is given; the algorithm of its functioning is described with consideration of the reviewed modes of operation. The developed system significantly expands opportunities for physicians to perform operational control and correction of a treatment course in patients with chronic diseases.

It is important to get the homothermal temperature. Temperature variability over the cross-section affects the distribution of the liquid phase in the blanks. The induction heating the primal blank to the solid-liquid state with an accurate temperature field formation meets the criteria to a greater extent. However, there are a number of difficulties during the implementation of this type of heating, as it is necessary to choose the current frequency optimally and determine the design and operating modes of the induction heater. The mathematical modeling plays a significant part in the successful design of the induction heating system. The research presents the studies of blanks to a liquid-solid state. Power control modes and heating dynamics for blank are obtained. A method to increase the productivity of a single-inductor system is proposed. For doing this it is proposed to introduce smooth power control.
