In the article methods of statistical simulation of fractional Brownian motion are investigated. The fractional Brownian motion is a process with stationary increments, which is constructed in the form of a Gaussian stationary process. With the help of the developed method, the implementations of self-similar traffic of telecommunication networks are simulated. On the real data, a statistical analysis of traffic was performed and the adequacy of the model based on the fractional Brownian motion was checked.

Current methods of digitally processing communication signals, which are distorted in the computer systems communication channels, are often based on the use of amplitude, phase and spectral characteristics. Correlation methods are also used to ensure immunity. A common disadvantage of these methods is the need for significant computational cost. One of the partial solutions to the described problem may be to use the signals probabilistic characteristics, in particular information entropy. This approach is based on the representation of digital message bits to the corresponding fragments of broadband signals with manipulated information entropy. In fact, signals are formed on the basis of random processes with normal distribution of possible states. The use of passive fragments in such signals can reduce the energy cost of data transmission. When passing through a communication channel, passive fragments are filled with their own channel noise. As a result, the channel's own noise extends the number of possible signal amplitude states and can be used to improve the resolution. According to the results of studies, the dependence of the probability of distortion of the information message binary symbol on the normalized signal/noise ratio is obtained. It is shown that the use of passive fragments improves noise immunity by 3-4 dB within the normalized signal/noise ratio at the input from -5 dB to 14 dB. However, at 14 dB or more, noise immunity worsens. Thus, the main scope of the proposed method can be problematic channels with low signal/noise ratio.

The article deals with the automated systems providing information services. To describe the operator’s activities, functional networks of Professor Anatoly Gubinsky were used. Models and technology for estimating the human operator reliability were obtained. Computer experiments were conducted. The possibility of taking into account the influence of the structures of activity algorithms, working conditions and operator qualifications is shown. Results will be useful to reduce the number of human operator’s errors and to search for ergonomic reserves to improve the efficiency of information support systems.

The paper deals with the study of the parametrically driven Chua’s circuit. We use Lagrangian formalism together with Kirchhoff rules to perform modeling of parametrically driven Chua’s circuit. Such an approach allows us to represent the dynamic of Chua’s circuit by different state variables. This dynamic is described by differential equations in general form for some time-depended boundary functions, which describe the changing of capacitances. Thus, we define a general model for parametrically driven Chua’s circuit. Then this model is used to study Chua’s circuit dynamic with harmonically changed capacitors. We use numerical methods to solve differential equations of modified Chua’s circuit and prove its difference from classical Chua’s circuit. This difference is proven in time and frequency domains. Our studies show that chaotic oscillations in modified Chua’s circuit are nonlinear ones in the time domain and they have high-frequency harmonics in its harmonic spectrum. We plot 3D attractors of modified and classical Chua’s circuits, which prove circuits’ difference as well. We offer to avoid considering nonlinear functions while the synchronization controller is being designed by using minimal and maximal values of these functions only and constructing an interval model for Chua’s circuit. Combination of this model and feedback linearization methods allows us to design a simple sliding mode feedback controller, which transform the dynamic of Chua’s circuit into Brunovsky form. We use the simplest first order sliding mode controller in the control system feedforward to perform synchronization of the transformed object’s dynamic with an external signal.

The paper is devoted to the development of the load-balancing Fast ReRouting model with providing fair priority-based Traffic Policing. An important place in the model belongs to the conditions for protecting network elements as well as its bandwidth, taking into account the provision of load balancing in the network. The advantage of the proposed solution is the provision of Fair Priority-Based Traffic Policing due to this model when the flows that are the source of overload are primarily limited. Moreover, high priority packet flows will be limited to a lesser extent than low priority packet flows. This has been achieved by the statement of the Fast ReRouting problem in an optimization form with the introduction of a linear-quadratic objective function. The results of the research on the proposed model confirmed the effectiveness and adequacy of the solutions.

The paper analyses the excitation efficiency of the TE01 wave in a segment of the circular waveguide that is made in the center of one of the mirrors of the open resonator (OR) with the help of the higher order modes ТЕМ11q (in the Lagerr-Gauss functions) and TEM30q (in the Hermite-Gauss functions) and the degenerate mode TEM*11q. All calculations were carried out taking into account the vector nature of the electric field. The analysis results established that the maximum excitation efficiency of the TE01 wave in a circular waveguide using the TEM11q mode is 0.161. The excitation efficiency of the same wave using the TEM30q oscillation is equal to 0.121. When the considered wave was excited by using only the central part of the TEM*11q mode (in the Lagerr-Gauss functions) the maximum excitation efficiency of the TE01 wave grew up to 1. The maximum excitation efficiency of the same wave with the help of the central part of the TEM*11q oscillation (in the Hermite-Gauss functions) is slightly lower and amounts to 0.954. The amplitude distribution of the field of the considered wave takes the form of a ring in the mirror of the OR.

The state of the world market of metals is one of the main indicators of the global economy state as a whole, as it is a raw material that is actively used in the information and communication technologies. This explains the urgency of the challenges companies in this sector are facing. One of these is the prediction of metal prices to make the right decisions in the industry. The article aims to en light a strategy, which implies the necessary steps for forecasting and presents a search for a suitable forecasting model, the accuracy of which satisfies the goals of steel trading companies. Firstly, the authors analyze the forecast and its accuracy based on common statistical forecasting models, such as the pair regression equation or a linear function for a time series, models reduced to the linear ones, namely, the polynomials of 2, 3 and 4 degrees, etc. Further, the author presents a quality criterion of forecasting for stock metals prices to support the decisions made by the steel trader. It is this criterion that proved the need to develop the most accurate forecasting models, which was actually done. New models are based on both technical and fundamental analysis of stock quotes of metals, and have the accuracy necessary to be applied in practice by steel trading companies to trade successfully.

In the research the method of tonality analysis was used to find thoughts in the text and determine their properties. The tonality is considered the position of the author on the topic (usually "positive" or "negative") Content analysis of user’s responses using corps managers has been applied. This gives grounds to claim that based on the proposed technology it is possible to track the users responses of tourist services and to formulate recommendations for tourism firms for improvement of their activity. The application of sentiment analysis is aimed to improve the tourism industry.

When transmitting music signals via infocommunication channels, there is a risk of distortion of these signals due to clipping. The consequence of these distortions is a decrease in subjective assessments of the quality of musical signals, so clipping detection is an important issue. In this paper, the kurtosis and the inverse value of kurtosis are proposed as measures of an objective assessment of the musical signals clipping degree. Matching maps of objective and subjective clipping degree estimates are monotonic functions that do not contain sharp kinks, which allow not only evaluating clipping degree, but also estimating music signals quality. An important advantage of the proposed measures of the clipping degree is the ability to simplify and speed up significantly the calculations due to the absence of the need of preliminarily estimation the probability density function of the analyzed musical signal.

The mathematical support of the information system of the polymerization process for the obtaining products with specified properties has been developed. The basis of this informational system is a mathematical model of heterogeneous-catalytic co-oligomerization of C9 fraction of pyrolysis liquid products. The model allows to determine the rational technological regimes of the process and optimal composition of the raw material, to regulate the operational characteristics of the reaction products at the stage of their synthesis and to obtain co-oligomers with predicted properties. The focus is on the polymer yield, the molecular weight and the bromine number. The main factors influencing this process are catalyst concentration, temperature and time. This mathematical support is intended for introduction of automation of technological process.
