ADRC-based model predictive current control for PMSMs fed by three-phase four-switch inverters 基于adrc的三相四开关逆变器永磁同步电机模型预测电流控制

A novel automatic disturbances rejection control (ADRC)-based model predictive current control (MPCC) strategy is developed for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) fed by three-phase four-switch inverters, an after-fault-topology for fault-tolerant three-phase six-switch inverters. The mathematical model of a PMSM fed by a three-phase four-switch inverter is built firstly. Then the ADRC and MPCC are respectively designed, with the former being used to realize disturbance estimation and disturbance compensation while the latter being used to reduce stator current ripple and improve the quality of the torque and speed control. The resultant ADRC-based MPCC PMSM fed by an unhealthy inverter has fault-tolerant effective with dynamical performance very close to an ADRC-based MPCC PMSM fed by a healthy inverter. On the other hand, compared with PI-based MPCC PMSM fed by an unhealthy inverter, it possesses better dynamical response behavior and stronger robustness as well as smaller THD index of three-phase stator current in the presence of variation of load torque. The simulation results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

High step-up voltage-doubling DC-DC converter with coupled inductors 带耦合电感的高升压倍压DC-DC变换器

In this paper, a novel high step-up DC-DC converter is presented. The proposed topology is composed by a nonlinear-gain boost converter with two coupled inductors and integrated with two voltage-doubler circuits to accomplish high step-up voltage ratio. In addition, the energy stored in leakage inductance can be retrieved during switch-off period. Moreover, the voltage across the switch is effectively clamped under a lower voltage rating and therefore a low on-resistance power switch can be adopted to reduce the conduction loss. Attributing to the above-mentioned merits, the conversion efficiency can be apparently improved. Finally, a novel high step-up DC-DC converter with 18~26 V input voltage, 400 V output voltage and 200 W output power is implemented to verify the proposed topology.

Research on control method for flywheel battery energy storage system 飞轮蓄电池储能系统控制方法研究

This paper presents a new control method for the flywheel battery energy storage (FBES) system. The proposed method adopts a double closed-loop control structure, which is based on an outer DC bus voltage loop cascaded with an inner current loop, and has an additional speed control loop. It can achieve charge and discharge process of the flywheel battery through regulating the flywheel speed without changing the outer loop control object. During the charge process, the DC bus voltage is completely determined by power system and the speed control loop limits the flywheel speed to avoid overcharge. Accordingly, the stability of the DC bus voltage is maintained by the flywheel battery during the discharge process. A FBES system is established with Matlab/Simulink to complete the charge and discharge control simulation and the sudden loading simulation during discharge. Meanwhile correlative experiments on a flywheel battery prototype are conducted. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Optimized modulation strategy for three-phase dual-active-bridge DC-DC converters to minimize RMS inductor current in the whole load range 优化三相双有源桥式DC-DC变换器的调制策略,使电感电流在整个负载范围内的有效值最小

This paper proposes an optimized modulation strategy for three-phase dual-active-bridge (3p-DAB) DC-DC converters, which can minimize RMS inductor current and enhance the efficiency in the whole load range, especially under low load situations. Three control variables, two duty cycles and a phase-shift ratio, are introduced in the proposed modulation strategy. A universal analysis for the operating characterization of a 3p-DAB converter is presented using the multi-frequency approximation method. Moreover, the analytical expressions of RMS inductor current and transmission power are deduced. In order to obtain the optimal situation with minimization RMS inductor current, a constrained nonlinear programming problem is established. On this basis, an optimization algorithm, the interior-point method, is applied to solve the problem and derive control variables of the modulation strategy. An experimental prototype is established and the experimental results validate that the RMS inductor current optimization and efficiency improvement are realized by using the proposed modulation scheme.

Suppression control of DC current component in SVC originated from even-order voltage harmonics 基于偶次电压谐波的SVC直流分量抑制控制

The geomagnetic disturbance is one of risks in the AC transmission systems. It induces current component of very low frequency and affects the transformer magnetization. As one of effects, the even-order voltage harmonics appear in the AC voltage, which possibly generate the DC current component in the current of the Thyristor Controlled Reactor, TCR, a type of Static Var Compensator, SVC. Without any mitigation, when the transformer is connected to the TCR, the transformer magnetization condition may be further worsened. Then, for stable operation of the AC system, the SVC is sometimes required to suppress the DC current component. The paper, first, discusses mechanism of the DC current component generation from the even-order voltage harmonics. Secondly, based on the discussion, the paper proposes a practical estimation algorithm of the DC current component. The estimation uses only the AC voltage information. The proposed algorithm does not use the TCR current information and then offers an economical advantage to eliminate cost impact of DC current sensors for high voltage circuits. Furthermore, the practical estimation method is proved to show high accuracy. Thirdly, the paper proposes a simple algorithm to suppress the DC current component using the estimated value. The simple algorithm offers another practical advantage, feasible to install in the actual SVC controller. The performance of the suppression control is verified by the digital simulation. Then, the algorithm is installed in the actual SVC controller and has been verified to function as expected through the simulator tests. The proposed suppression control is already used in actual SVC installations.

Efficiency optimized asymmetric half-bridge converter with hold-up time compensation 带保持时间补偿的效率优化非对称半桥变换器

In this paper, a new asymmetric half-bridge (AHB) converter integrated with hold-up time compensation circuit is proposed. The AHB converter is one of the most promising topologies in low-to-mid power applications because of zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of all switches and small number of components. But when the converter is designed considering the hold-up time condition, it has large transformer offset-current and small transformer turns-ratio. Although many researchers have studied to solve this problem, the advantages of conventional works are limited by losses from additional components. To solve this problem, a new AHB converter with an optimized efficiency is proposed in this paper. Since the proposed converter increases voltage gain using integrated boost converter during the hold-up time, it can be designed to obtain an optimized efficiency in nominal state, without losses from the additional components.

Study on the modulation ratio of wavelet modulation technique 小波调制技术中调制比的研究

This paper introduces the principle and implementation of the wavelet technique, and points out that the output voltage cannot be adjusted by using the original wavelet modulation (WM) technique. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a concept of modulation ratio for wavelet modulation, analyses the feasibility of wavelet modulation with modulation ratio theoretically. Finally, the experimental results show that the inverter using the modified WM technique has higher magnitude of the output fundamental along with lower total harmonic distortion by comparing with SPWM on the same modulation ratio.

To solve this problem, this paper proposes a concept of modulation ratio for wavelet modulation, analyses the feasibility of wavelet modulation with modulation ratio theoretically. An interleaved structure for a high-voltage planar transformer for a Travelling-Wave Tube 一种行波管高压平面互感器的交错结构

Fully interleaved structure can significantly reduce leakage inductance in transformers. However, it is hard to apply them into high-voltage applications due to the electric insulation. In this paper, a partially interleaved structure that is suitable for high-voltage high frequency applications is proposed to reduce leakage inductance and the insulation's thickness is adjusted to optimize the electric isolation. In addition, the resistance and parasitic capacitance are investigated. With this method, a planar transformer used for a Travelling-Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) is designed. Calculations of leakage inductances and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

EMI prediction and filter design for MHz GaN based LLC half-bridge converter 基于MHz GaN的LLC半桥变换器EMI预测及滤波器设计

In this paper, EMI research and filter design with shielding method for a MHz switching frequency Gallium Nitride (GaN) based LLC half-bridge resonant DC-DC converter is explored. Firstly, a high-frequency model considering overall electromagnetic coupling effects for both common mode and differential mode is proposed. And EMI prediction during the frequency spectrum from 150 kHz to 30 MHz is illustrated. Then, improved inductor with shielding method is designed. According to the accurate EMI prediction and the designed inductor, high-frequency CM and DM EMI filters of the GaN based LLC converter are designed and implemented. To achieve that, different filter topologies are compared and CLC type is selected. It is confirmed that the proposed EMI filter is a convenient and cost-effective approach to suppress the EMI noise largely by both practical experiments and theoretical analysis. Moreover, to further improve the performance of the system, an optimized prototype with planar transformer is designed and implemented, which demonstrates that planar transformer can achieve smaller size, lower loss, higher power density and efficiency compared to traditional transformer.

Wavelet packet-based passive islanding detection method for grid connected photovoltaic inverters 基于小波包的并网光伏逆变器无源孤岛检测方法

In this paper, a new passive islanding detection method for grid-connected photovoltaic inverters is proposed. The proposed method is based on extracting signatures from the high frequency components of voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC), which occur after an islanding condition. These high frequency components contain signature information capable of identifying the islanding condition. The PCC voltage is measured and its high frequency sub-band contents are extracted using wavelet packet transform (WPT). This characterization helps to provide enough information to efficiently detect and discriminate the effect of load switching disturbances and grid voltage distortions from islanding conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is tested in simulation of a grid-connected inverter system. The simulation results, carried out by Matlab/Simulink are used to validate the performance of the proposed method. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can detected within one cycle (20 ms), even with small non-detection zone and can discriminate between islanding and other events in the system, as load switching disturbances and grid voltage distortions.
