Self-calibrated valley switching for wide range Flyback active-clamp DC-DC converter 宽范围反激有源箝位DC-DC变换器的自校准谷开关

In this paper, we describe a valley-switching self-calibration strategy, which permits to minimize commutation loss in Flyback active-clamp converters working in valley switching mode. This strategy allows an optimal behavior of the converter commutation regardless of its parasitic drain-source capacitance behavior. This strategy can be applied on wide input voltage range Flyback active-clamp converters, in which the soft switching cannot be maintained on the whole working range. Our strategy has been tested on a 17 V to 130 V input voltage converter with a 12 V-40W output. Efficiency increases up to 2% at high input voltages compared to standard converter control strategy.

Probabilistic load flow calculation with irregular distribution variables considering power grid receivability of wind power generation 考虑风电电网可接受性的不规则分布变量的概率潮流计算

When the wind farm is planned to be constructed, making full use of wind power resources is mainly considered while the acceptable capacity of wind power integrated into tie line is taken insufficient account, causing that the wind power would not be accepted completely and the wind power forecast is limited by the acceptable capacity of tie line. Under the current operation mode, the next-day network load flow is based on the wind power forecast. Because of the inevitable forecast errors in wind generation, the wind power probability distribution would always be given. Considering the acceptable capacity of power grid, the wind power is fitted to distribute irregularly. The irregular distribution input does not satisfy the demand of classical numerical probabilistic load flow calculation. This paper proposes a probabilistic load flow calculation method based on proportional allocation principle and Latin hypercube sampling, which ensures high calculation precision and improves the speed dramatically. The veracity and validity of the method proposed is tested in the IEEE 118-bus system. The irregular probability distribution of wind power is fitted under the restriction of tie line and the simulation results show that the method proposed also has excellent practical value.

A high-performance digital controller for high-power three-phase UPS by using one DSP 采用单DSP实现大功率三相UPS的高性能数字控制器

This paper focuses on the key technologies and its industrialization of high-power three-phase uninterruptible power supply(UPS) system. Firstly, the mathematical model of three-phase three-level VIENNA rectifier and three-phase two-level inverter were established respectively. The multiloop control method was realized based on the DQ coordinates, and a simplified three-level space vector pulse width modulation method which could simplify the calculation was proposed for the VIENNA rectifier. A composite control method of PI control and synchronous-frame repetitive control strategy was proposed to improve the quality of output inverter waveform. In order to improve the dynamic response of DC-bus, a power forward control strategy was proposed for the whole system. The whole system keeps unit power factor in the input side and pure sine voltage in the output side. The modulation and control method of three-phase three-level UPS was implemented in one DSP(digital signal processor). Experimental results of the 200kVA UPS system show that the proposed modulation and control method was correct and effective.

High power Modular Multilevel DC-DC Converter based on dual-loop CPS modulation 基于双环CPS调制的大功率模块化多电平DC-DC变换器

Modular Multilevel Converter-Bidirectional DC-DC Converter (MMC-BDC) is suitable for high voltage and high power application. This paper designs a kind of six-module-cascaded MMC-BDC applied to mass rail transit. Based on carrier phase-shifted (CPS) modulation, a dual-loop control strategy consisting of a common current loop and an individual voltage loop is proposed. It is able to realize both bidirectional power flow and real time voltage balancing online. Regarding the designing of this strategy, this paper reveals a series of contradictions that needs to be properly compromised, e.g. large voltage loop gain results in large inductor ripple current, which means more power losses, while smaller gain leads to long voltage balancing time. And it's found that the ripple current is larger in unbalancing mode than that of in balancing one, which is important for the parameters choice. The design method to trade off the contradictions was given and the dual-loop control strategy was successfully implemented. Analysis and simulation waveforms verify the correctness and the effectiveness.

Modeling and controller design of high voltage gain DC-DC converter with multi-cell diode-capacitor network 基于多单元二极管-电容网络的高压增益DC-DC变换器建模与控制器设计

The novel DC-DC converter composed of multi-cell diode-capacitor network provides a simple solution for high step-up power conversion in renewable energy applications. With regard to the uni-directional power flow of the diodes, multi-capacitors are naturally charged in parallel, and discharged in series. Thus, high voltage gain is achieved without extreme large duty ratio of power devices. Furthermore, it does not increase the complexity of control circuit due to only one fully controllable power device. However, a lot of passive components increase the order of system model and complexity. This paper proposes a new modeling approach to get the reduced model for high voltage gain DC-DC converter with multi-cell diode-capacitor network. Then, the linear closed-loop controller is designed based on the reduced model in frequency domain. Finally, simulation and experiment are implemented to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the reduced-order modeling approach. And it contributes to the simplification of controller system, which is very promising in high voltage gain DC-DC converter with multi-cell diode-capacitor/inductor network in the renewable energy application.

Quasi-switched-inductor Z-source inverter 准开关电感z源逆变器

A new Z-source inverter called Quasi switched inductor Z-source inverter(QSLZSI) is presented in this paper. The proposed inverter not only inherits the advantages of traditional Z-source inverters but also has the unique features of capacitor H-bridge circuit: simplified structure, reduced component count, simplified control strategies, higher boost factor. The operating principles of the proposed inverter are described, and a circuit analysis is provided. This new inverter is especially suitable for renewable energy and the variable-frequency adjusting speed of the motor servo system. This paper presents the simulation results of QSLZSI and compares them with those of the SLZSI and LZSI in detail. Laboratory prototypes are constructed. Experimental results confirm the theoretical analysis.

A family of integrated dual-output DC-DC converters: Synthesis methodology and performance analysis 一种集成双输出DC-DC变换器:综合方法和性能分析

A family of integrated dual-output DC-DC converters with three switches is proposed in this paper. In comparison with two separate DC-DC converters, lower cost and volume can be achieved since the number of switches is reduced. First of all, the topology synthesis methodology is introduced and based on which, several integrated dual-output DC-DC converters are derived. Then, an integrated buck-flyback converter which simultaneously obtains two independent isolated and non-isolated outputs is analyzed as an example. Apart from the reduced switching components, zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) operation is retained for one switch. Thus, the switching losses are reduced. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed converter is validated by experimental results. Finally, the integrated concept is extended to achieve multiple outputs.

Robust and autonomous dc bus voltage control and stability analysis for a dc microgrid 直流微电网的鲁棒自主直流母线电压控制与稳定性分析

In this paper, a novel approach for robust and autonomous dc bus voltage control in a dc microgrid has been proposed. A nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO) only with local information is designed firstly to track power disturbances caused by load changing or the volatility of the renewable sources in the dc microgrid. With the observer, voltage droop method has been adopted in achieving power sharing and autonomous operation of a dc microgrid. Furthermore, an improved current feedforward is developed to suppress wide fluctuations of the dc bus voltage during transients. In addition, a notch filter has been used to effectively eliminate the second harmonic ripple components in the inductor currents of the droop control units to improve the power quality. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified on a laboratory prototype including two bidirectional dc-dc converters supplied by two programmable dc power supply systems, a dc load with a resistor connected to the dc bus via a buck type dc-dc converter and a three-phase unbalanced ac load.

Double step-down AC-AC converters with high frequency isolation 具有高频隔离的双降压交流-交流转换器

In this paper, double step-down isolated ac-ac converters are proposed. The proposed converters have double step-down function and provides electrical isolation using high frequency transformer. The proposed converters avoid the saturation of transformer by adding a capacitor. In addition, the voltage stress of three bidirectional switches at the primary side of transformer is half of input voltage. The voltage across the primary winding of transformer is also half of input voltage, therefore the transformer of the proposed converters can be designed with smaller size, low leakage inductance and less isolation requirements. The proposed converters have double step-down function with high frequency galvanic isolation, and have low voltage stress across the switches and transformer, therefore they can be good candidates for solid state transformer.

Status and development of overcurrent protection devices for more electric aircraft applications 电动飞机过流保护装置的现状与发展

Development of more electric aircraft (MEA) is fostering increasing requirements for higher performance Power Distribution Units (PDU). Overcurrent protection architectures and devices in PDU require more flexibility and better performance to accommodate system components and electric loads. Traditional electromagnetic overcurrent protection devices such as CBs, AFCBs, and RCCBs are reviewed and smart power management method enabled by latest Solid State Power Controllers (SSPCs) is surveyed. Design considerations of SSPCs are addressed by advances in wide-bandgap switching devices and performance characteristics of SSPCs are verified by different modeling methods.
