This study was designed to explore factors and strategies to promote Chinese elders’ physical activity and cultivate healthy lifestyles. We collected the CHARLS survey 2011 baseline data, and selected 2647 cases of the elderly population in China. Based on the social ecosystem theory, the univariate analysis and ordered logistic regression were used. The model was analyzed for multivariate analysis. In the present study, the appropriate IRB approval has been obtained from Peking University. The theory of social ecology believes that individual behavior is influenced individual factors, inter-individual factors, organizational factors, community factors and policy factors. This article used the gender, age, marriage, education, and self-assessment of health status in the survey results as independent variables of individual factors, used whether to provide care for grandchildren, the frequency of participation in social activities as independent variables of inter-individual factors, used whether there are organizations that assist the elderly, the weak, the disabled population and whether there are elderly associations as the independent variables of organizational factors, then uses whether there is geriatric health service center as an independent variable of community factor. In this paper, physical activity participation intensity was used as the dependent variable, and single factor correlation analysis was performed with each independent variable. The other nine chi-square test significant independent variables except for age were included in the multiple regression model. The results showed that compared with other marital status, the physical activity intensity of the elderly population with spouses living together is greater; the elderly population who has better self-rated health scores and has higher social frequency, has stronger physical activity intensity; the elderly population who has geriatric health care service centers in their residence has stronger physical activity intensity. The following suggestions to promote health of Chinese elderly population can be made: the elderly population should establish their own awareness of health care and exercise; the children of the elderly population should strengthen their care for the elderly population; the community pension service organizations should take the initiative to play an active role to care the elderly population; the elderly population residence should strengthen the supporting hardware facilities.

The State Sports General Administration issued "Some opinions on promoting the reform of sports event approval system" on December 30, 2014, clearly canceling the right of approval of mass sports events. Based on this, the community has reflected well, and the quantity and quality of sports events have been significantly improved, but this change has also increased the difficulty of sports event governance. This paper aims to summarize the problems existing in the governance of sports events and the corresponding optimization paths and provides suggestions for the healthy development of sports event. The literature was searched using a keyword “sports event governance” in CNKI. A total of 32 documents were retrieved. Based on the combination of literature content and certain expansion, thirty documents were included in this review. The research progress of sports event governance is expounded from the aspects of concept definition, background of sports event governance, problems existing in sports event governance, and the optimization paths of sports event in China. The problems in the governance of sports event in China include: (a) The power and responsibility of government departments are unclear; (b)The market system is not perfect and the market regulation function is weakened; (c) There lacks materialization of sports social organizations; (d) There are problems in the distribution of benefits among relevant departments, market players, and sports social organizations. The optimization paths of sports event governance include: (a) Clearing government ' s power and responsibility in sports event governance; (b) Improving the market mechanism to enhance the main regulatory capacity; (c) Establishing new supervision mechanism between government and society. The decentralization at the government level has greatly promoted the enthusiasm of social organizations to host sports event, but the new order will always be accompanied by some chaos at the early stage. There are some problems at the government level, the market level, and the social sports organization level. The solutions to these problems are still at the research stage. For example, the optimization schemes of various subjects mentioned in this paper have been gradually studied and summarized.

In China, many teachers and parents concern that physical activities take too much time of students, which would negatively influence students’ academic performance and the inescapable pressure of schools to produce students who meet academic standards. However, decreased physical activity participation due to the scarcity of exercises becomes prevalent in Chinese students. The correlation between students’ physical activity participation and academic achievement has raised increased attention. This study explored the relationship between students’ physical activity participation and academic performance from the perspective of humanities and sociology to explore a way to balance the two aspects for students. We conducted literature review and a case study to analyze the relationship between students' physical activity participation and academic performance. Published books and existing literature on students' physical activity participation and academic performance were searched through the library and CNKI. In addition, a case study by Zhong Nanshan, Hu Kai and Wang Yu was employed by consulting the news and reports, literature materials and biographies. Moreover, the humanistic and social factors that influence the life experience of those cases were analyzed in political, economic, cultural, educational, ethical and moral views, so as to figure out the relationship between students' physical activity and academic performance from the perspective of humanities and sociology. According to the results, moderate physical activity participation could improve students’ academic performance. Specifically, physical activity could enhance the volitional quality, stress tolerance, value of life, self-ideal realization, diligent spirit, and professional awareness and the interpersonal relationships of students. The aforementioned humanistic and social factors contribute to their academic performance. Finally, based on the research results, this study proposed a new strategy to coordinate development between physical activity and academic performance of students.

The purpose of this study was to (1) explore the research progress of dance movement therapy in China and (2) reveal future development trend of dance movement therapy. With the methods of literature review, logical induction and scientific knowledge mapping, the research results of dance movement therapy in China were analyzed visually. The co-occurrence chart of key words and timeline analysis chart of key words of dance movement therapy in China were created based on the data. The co-occurrence chart of key words showed that the research hotspots centered on "dance therapy", "psychotherapy", "Parkinson's disease", "autism", "special children", "teenagers", "college students" and "college students". The subjects of dance therapy were mainly special children, teenagers and college students. The diseases of dance therapy focused on "Parkinson's disease", "schizophrenia", "autism", "social anxiety". Timeline analysis chart of key words showed that research subjects experienced trended from "psychotherapy", "autism" to "Parkinson's disease" and "dance decompression". The patients in the study expanded from "college students" and "autistic children" to "teenagers" and "college students". The auxiliary elements of dance therapy experienced the expansion from "dance" to "music" and "art". On the basis of summarizing the experience gained from clinical practice, we should further clarify the operational definition and effect evaluation of dance therapy, and establish a complete and systematic dance analysis system. We should explore how to combine drug therapy with dance therapy, and study the best proportion of the two in the treatment. Under the background of the combination of medicine and sports, we should think about how to promote dance therapy, integrate dance therapy into disease prevention and treatment, and accelerate the advancement of the dance therapy industry.

School physical education is an ideal place to improve the physical fitness of young people. In China, school physical education includes physical education and health education. Physical education teacher is an important factor that influences the quality of school physical education. This study was based on the government policy of “deepening the comprehensive reform in the field of education”. The purposes were to investigating the current situation of Chinese physical education teachers’ teaching, providing suggestions and directions for the improvement of their teaching, and subsequently improving students’ physical health. This study adopted the following methods: literature review, questionnaire and interview methods. The participants of this study were physical education teachers who were recruited through random sampling across the country. Interview and questionnaires were conducted at three occasions: before class, during class, and after class. In-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted to understand the cognition and teaching status of physical education teachers. Data analysis results showed that teachers’ academic qualifications was positively correlated with their understanding of theoretical knowledge such as curriculum standards (p < 0.05, r = 0.468). For class implementation, only about 23.3% teachers’ teaching practice met the requirement of China’s healthy physical education curriculum model in term of the amount of physical activity. There was a significant difference between the length of teaching and the curriculum arrangement (p < 0.01). Finally, for after-school activities, the organization of after-school physical activities was mainly focusing on sport practices, and varsity team training accounted for 61% of these sport practices. Many different types of reasons were raised by the teacher about the factors restricting physical exercise after school. Under the background of policies advocating the integration of sports and education, it is important to raise the professional standards of being a physical education teacher. Current physical education teachers should learn how to implement the “Chinese Health Sports Curriculum Model”. More professional development opportunities should be provided for physical education teachers in terms of teaching methods, curriculum development, and after-school physical activity program development. Physical education teachers should learn the factors that restricts students from participating in after-school physical activities and the strategies to address these restricting factors.

The purpose of this study was to summarize the main body, content, method and application effects of physical education curriculum evaluation, to understand the current situation of physical education curriculum evaluation in China, and to construct an evaluation index system based on teacher training professional certification. The Chinese and English databases were searched by systematic evaluation, and the retrieval time was from December 31, 2018. The research literature that met the standard were included, and qualitative analysis was conducted by subject analysis method. A total of 100 studies were included, most of which summarized the concept, content and subject of physical education curriculum evaluation in different historical backgrounds. It has the following characteristics: The main body of evaluation is diversified, but it is still dominated by teachers' and administrative departments' top-down evaluation. The content of evaluation is diversified, but the homogenization is serious, and the essential problem of course evaluation is not explained enough yet. Evaluation methods are diversified, but there are few methods combining information technology and cross-boundary evaluation. Based on the three core concepts of teachers' professional certification, the evaluation standard is established. With the student-oriented concept, establish the evaluation subject, content, method and means; Taking output orientation as the concept, integrate various methods or means to improve the quality of teaching and student training; Build a developmental evaluation system and promote the continuous improvement of physical education curriculum system.

More than 20,000 international student-athletes are currently competing at the NCAA level and the numbers are expected to rise (NCAA, 2019), which illustrates the successful combination of higher education and sports in North America since the 1990s (Danylchuk & Grbac, 2016). Some studies have addressed international student-athletes’ experiences at NCAA Division I and II levels (Popp, 2007, Bentzinger, 2016, Hong, 2018), but few have investigated the Division III (DIII) level on the struggles faced by international student-athletes. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of former international student-athletes (ISAs) in order to gain understanding of the potential pitfalls for prospective international student-athletes (PISA) who plan to pursue college sports at NCAA DIII schools. The significance of this study is to provide suggestions for better international college athletic experiences and prevent dropout. Two former international student-athletes were recruited via purposeful sampling strategy in the Midwest, U.S. Human Subject Institute Review Board approval was granted. Data were collected through approximately 60-minute, semi-structured interviews and transcribed using Otter software. Three-dimensional inquiry model (Clandinin & Connelly, 2000) and Leisure Constraint Theory (LCT, Crane & Temple, 2015) guided this study. A non-linear process was utilized to describe, analyze and interpret the data. Two first level approaches were supplied: an inductive approach based on the LCT and a deductive open coding in-vivo. To reduce researchers bias, epoche and bracketing were employed. Applying LCT, pitfalls related to intrapersonal constraints would be negative perspectives on teams or coaches, lack of enjoyment, the mindset change of playing for school rather than for themselves and their failed expectations. For interpersonal constraints, pitfalls would be negative recruiting experiences, difficulties in adapting to cultural differences, academic challenges, and interest shift away from sports to more sustainable career development. For structural constraints, pitfalls would be less time commitment, less practice and game play, dissatisfaction with their academic programs, and lack of outside interest in their sports. To avoid pitfalls and pursue better athletic and academic international experiences, prospective international student-athletes may need to be more open-minded to adapt to the coaching and team culture and adjust to circumstances different than their expectations. They also need to study more about the recruiting process and devote greater efforts in the relationship with coaches, teammates and classmates. Lastly, they should not be in a rush to make a decision before a thorough study of institutions’ athletic and academic programs, and careers.

Australia F45 functional training is a high-intensity intermittent cycle training method, integrating life, interest, competitiveness and cooperation together. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of this training method on college students’ physical quality. 30 Participants from a university in southwest of China were recruited and were divided into two groups. The control group used traditional training methods while the experimental group used indirect circular training method, moderate intensity (pulse control at an average of 140-160 times / min), with the cooperation of music training. The corresponding fitness was tested before and 6 weeks after the experiment. Before and after the experiment, the scores of 50m, standing long jump, pull up / sit up, sitting forward, 800m / 1000m were tested respectively. The content of classroom training was composed of the auxiliary training contents of the five qualities: high leg lifting, small step running, frog jump, upright jump, push-up, flat support, standing forward and so on. The fitness of the students in the control group and the experimental group was improved, and the improvement of the experimental group was more obvious, especially the standing long jump, sit ups and long-distance running. It is suggested that college students accept the medium intensity intermittent cycle training method, which can improve the physical quality of college students.

Under the new policy background of the 2020 "Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education and Promoting the Healthy Development of Adolescents", as the highest educational institution in China, higher education institutions should shoulder the responsibility of cultivating high-quality talents to meet social needs. As the highest-quality higher education institution in Henan Province, Zhengzhou University's innovation and exploration of teaching methods and talent training models under the background of the integration of sports and education will play a leading role in the development of higher education in Henan Province. Through combing and analyzing the existing policy documents, firstly, explore the reasons, significance, and social background of the construction of the football academy; secondly, analyze the theoretical basis for the construction of the football academy in the context of relevant policies, and analyze the demand for talent training required by the policy. It was combining with the construction situation of my country’s football academy at this stage, implementing the specific requirements of the integration strategy of sports and education, establishing the guiding ideology of “diversified integration” after establishing the academy from the three levels of discipline establishment, talent training, and talent transfer. Investigate the needs of the talent market at the stage, determine the direction of talent training, and discuss how to set up specific majors for domestic enrollment after the establishment of the college. Based on this, it proposes the professional setting direction and specific curriculum arrangement and assessment methods for talent training from five aspects: education and teaching, sports competitions, sports medicine, sports media, economics, and management. Finally, it discusses the difficulties faced by students, teachers, and employment development after graduation in the process of football academy construction and how to use existing resources and related policy support to solve the difficulties. As an innovative way of running a school, the Football Academy provides new opportunities for the reform and innovation of sports talent cultivation. In the torrent of sports and education integration reform, make full use of existing resources, integrate and mobilize various high-quality resources in the region, and finally transform them into the winning resources for the new development of our school's sports discipline in this innovative school-running method. After the football academy is established, it will become a link between campus football and professional football in the province, and a breeding base for national high-quality football industry talents. It will also provide a strong impetus for the development of football in my country.
