The flows of capital are the deposits of the enterprises or private individuals in the country: they may be defined as the flow of finance meant for the enterprises or private persons in another country for the purposes such as the investments or commercial activity. Nowadays, in the conditions, in which the free trade zones are formed, the international flows of capital are of great importance for those with large savings and commercial enterprise for more effective use of its assets. It is widely believed that the foreign investments are profitable for the economic growth of the countries. The increase in the international investments and capital flows in any country contributes to the correction of the balance of payments and the external trade deficit due to the growth of the overall productivity of a country. The quality of legal defense provided for the foreign investors, and the level of efficiency of law enforcement are the key political issues for the promotion of higher levels of portfolio investments of foreign capital. The measures for the safety of investors, particularly those who related to the foreign investments are the essential crossed aspect specifying the international portfolio investments in the shares. The flows of capital impact the economy of the countries on macro and micro levels. Though the macroeconomic indexes reflect the general parameters, their monitoring and evaluation are extremely significant in economic context. As the investments are estimated in the view of future expectations, it is known that when speaking on the investment prospects of a country, not only social-economic conditions, but political stability are essential as well.

The paper provides the results of the study of component, structural group analysis of the hydrocarbons and the resin of residual fraction of >350 оC condensate from Shahdeniz field. The residue is divided into the groups of saturated (naphtenic-paraffin), aromatic hydrocarbons and the resins of liquid-adsorption and eluent-replacement chromatography on the activated silica-gel. The spectral analysis, the method based on the data of elemental composition, on the average molecular weight and data of PMR were used to specify the structural group composition of separate components. The average molecular weight was defined via the cryoscopy in naphthalene. The studies justified that the saturated hydrocarbons derived from the residues are a complicated mixture of cyclic, normal and isomeric structures. The alkyl part of an average molecule is equal to 2/3. ~33 % of an average molecule falls to the share of cyclopentane and cyclohexane rings. The aromatic hydrocarbons of the residue are characterized with high content of alkyl radicals. The resins present a complicated mixture of mono- and two-block molecules, in each block of which 5.86 naphtenic, 2.11 aromatic rings with short alkyl substitutes are condensed.

The paper presents the general data on various polymer additives – polyisobutylene, polyacrilates, polymetacrylates, oil-soluble polymers and copolymers of allyl and vynil monomers, the derivatives of alkylnaphtalines, alkylfenol, which improve viscous and depressor properties of the lubricants. While using polymer compounds undergo different processes of destruction and oxidation. To improve the stability, the aromatic fragments are involved in the polymers via various methods. The paper provides the results of the research surveys on the synthesis of the additives of polymer type with heat-stable, high viscous-temperature, depressor, anticorrosion, antioxidation properties, and their structure have been studied as well. It is noted that wide-range studies in the sphere of the synthesis and examination of the target, high-quality polymer additives are carried out in the Institute for the Chemistry of Additives of ANAS named after A.M. Guliyev. These additives as the depressor ones reduce the chilling temperature of the lubricants and improve their viscosity index.

During the filling-up and discharge, the transfer of oil products from one to another reservoir in oil gathering facilities and in the storage period, the losses of products due to the evaporation, as well as the environment contamination occur. To reduce the evaporation losses, the gas medium of a reservoir should be connected to the manifold pipe. For the condensation of oil vapor, the reservoir connecting the gas space of the tanks passing through the drain vessel, the reservoir of the crude oil or the reservoir of produced water should be joined with the drain vessel. The vapor passing through the overflow tank is condensed as a result of cooling.

The great majority of currently developed fields in the world are of gas-condensate type. These fields differ from oil and gas ones with their numerous physical-chemical properties. Thus, the duration of the exploitation impacts the development process. Essentially, it is associated with the drop of formation pressure, which has an effect on the process of gas-condensate delivery. The reliable definition of the time of pressure drop allows regulating the development process, which is topical in the field practice.

As is known, one of the most effective methods of increase of oil development for the mature production fields is the forced fluid withdrawal (FFW). In this respect, the bypassed oil, lenses, blind and dead zones, and low-permeable interlayers are involved in the development of non-homogeneous and heavily watered formations. The decision on the employment of FFW should be made only after the study of the correlation between the flow rate of oil, water, fluid, as well as the water cut. With the purpose of the evaluation of the efficiency of FFW application, the researches based on the actual field data of the well operation in Lokbatan and Gala fields of “Azneft” PU have been carried out. Thus, the dependencies of the flow rate of oil, water and water cut of the product on the flow rate of fluid by all reviewed wells have been developed on a system approach and analyzed, as well as the mathematical models have been found. The analysis and estimation calculations justified the capacity of an approximately 7 % increase of oil production due to the forced withdrawal by the reviewed pattern of wells in Gala field. The studies conducted on the field data justify the practicability of the employment of forced fluid withdrawal in the wells operated from the upper stage of Productive Series in Gala field.

The lithologic-petrographic and reservoir characteristics of Maikop sediments are studied in detail. Maikop sediments in this region are characterized with tufogenic-sedimentary complex of large thickness, layered clay slates, clays, aleurites, sandstones and conglomerates; clay rocks are dominant. Maikop sediments underwent facies changes in vertical and horizontal directions: the lower part of Maikop suite is characterized with clay, and the upper one – with sand and tufogenic facies. The sandstones of Upper Maikop sediments are defined with better filtration- capacity properties than those of Lower Maikop. The research of these rocks has a special significance for the specification of direction of the exploration surveys.

To extract sulfur compounds from oils, hydrogenation processes with a high consumption of hydrogen using expensive platinum catalysts, etc are implemented. In this regard, we have studied the process of oxidative desulfurization of catalytic cracking gasoline (CCG) and coking gasoline (CG) with hydrogen peroxide, as well as their narrow fractions, using cobalt-, molybdenum-containing and iron oxide catalysts with further extraction of sulfur-oxidized compounds with ionic liquids (morpholinium formate). The initial sulfur content in CCG and CG is 397 and 1558 ppm, respectively. After oxidation and extraction with an ionic liquid of oxidized CCG and CG, the sulfur content was 100.4 and 336.4 ppm, respectively. The degree of desulfurization in this case for CCG and CG is equal to 74.7 and 78.4 %, correspondingly. The degree of desulfurization of gasoline fractions ranged from 70 to 85 % with virtually no change in the ON (octane number) of gasoline.

The results of the regional two-dimensional (two or three-dimensional detailed scale by some areas) of seismic surveys carried out in the Azerbaijani sector of the South Caspian depression (SCD) through 1990-2002 years justified once again that approximately hundred local uphevals here are followed with the mud volcanoes. One or more mud volcanoes have been recorded in some structures (Shahdeniz-4, Absheron-2, Mashal-2, Shafag-Asiman-5 etc.). The results of the geophysical surveys allowed to specify that the geological section of the region underwent the dislocations of various types as a result of the effect of eruptive channels of giant mud volcanoes, and to obtain additional data on the morphology of seabed. According to the list of the large objects involved in the formation of the dislocations in the SCD: Ataturk arch, on which ten mud volcanoes are marked; a group of volcanoes – Shahriyar, Javadkhan, Firdovsi, Natavan, Khuluflu; Shahdag, Sanili, Ayrilig, Rustamov, Fuzuli, Babazade, Zafar-Mashal etc. includes the giant mud volcanoes located on the line connecting the mud volcanoes. The direct correlation of the hydrocarbon fields revealed in the SCD with mud volcanism gives reason to suppose the presence of new oil and gas fields (accumulations) adjacent to the giant mud volcanoes in the seismic field. The paper presents the views of the authors associated with this topic.
