This research aimed to know the influence of the use of traditional games on improving student's working memory capacity in elementary schools. The quantitative research with experimental research methods was used in this research. The experimental research model used the Classical experiment design model (one experimental group - one comparison group). The Data was collected by questionnaire and interview instruments. The results of this study showed that there was an influence on improving the working memory capacity of students in primary classes through the traditional game of Congklak. It could be seen from the results of the average value of the experimental class post-test which gets higher values compared to the control class with a significance level of 0.147. The traditional game of Congklak could be an alternative for teachers in training and improving students' working memory capacity because the components in working memory capacities such as the central executive, phonological loop and visuospatial sketch boards could be developed through grooves and rules in the game Congklak.

The solution of word problems requires cognitive and affective knowledge of problem solvers. However, many college' students faced difficulties in solving word problems. The descriptive study using a qualitative approach aims to explore difficulties faced by pre-service primary teachers when solving word problems. The participants of this study were 40 pre-service elementary teachers who were taking realistic mathematics learning courses in the academic year 2019/2020. Data were collected through word problem tasks and interviews. Data were analyzed using the Newman procedure. The results showed that most pre-service elementary teacher had difficulty in solving word problems. Difficulties faced by the pre-service elementary teacher who does not get the right solution are caused by (1) lack of understanding of the problems given; (2) lack of knowledge of strategy's inability to translate problems into mathematical forms; (3) inability to use mathematics correctly; and (4) inability to use correct mathematics. The implication of this study is teacher educators should provide scaffolding and feedback during learning in class.

This study points out to analyze the learning problems faced by repatriation students in Lampung Province. Repatriation students are children of Indonesian Workers (TKI) who come from Malaysia. They have the same rights as other Indonesian children. In general, due to differences in learning places, they face many obstacles in the learning process. Therefore, further research is needed regarding the problems faced by repatriation students, especially in Lampung Province. A Qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this research. Related to data collection techniques, observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation were conducted. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The validity of the data analysis technique performed source triangulation. This study shows that repatriated students experience several learning constraints including language, customs, culture, food, relationships, and ways of learning. Therefore, educators are expected to provide special treatment so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally.
