e paper deals with Russian musical jargon treated as a professional sociolect of musicians. The material has been taken from the data presented in the Internet. Stylistically, musical jargon belongs to a colloquial register of the Russian language. A thematic classification of Russian musical jargon has been offered. This class of words and expressions may be subdivided into two unequal groups – specialized and non-specialized jargon units. The former comprises units reflecting the sphere of musical performance whereas the latter refer to various spheres of everyday life. Specialized musical jargon group is subdivided into three subgroups – nominations of subjects, objects and ways of musical performance. Nomination technique of the jargon described includes occasional affixal word formation, word composition, metaphorical transference, borrowings (mainly from the English language), dialectal and dated words, and onomatopoeia. Transference of musical notions into various sphere of reality is also a feature of the jargon described.

The article examines specific features of the communicative situation of court translation and interpreting in the context of the communicative-functional approach. Based on legislation and translation practice analysis, the authors formulate purposes and objectives of court translation and interpreting, its features distinguishing it from other types of translation and interpreting activities, such as unequal social status of communicants, the forced nature of the communication and the lack of professionalism on one side. The authors propose specific ways to improve the quality of court translation and interpreting, provide a brief summary of their previous efforts towards institutionalizing court translation and creating a unified register of court translators and interpreters of the Russian Federation. The authors' work plan within the framework of the project supported by the Moscow Mayor's Grant Fund "Development and testing of the regional model of the Institute of court translation in Moscow" is disclosed

The article considers the communicative aspect of training future medical specialists for professional activity in the context of intercultural interaction. International cooperation in the field of medicine, which has increased due to the social and political importance of healthcare, increases the requirements for the professional language training of medical students, for their professional communication skills in a foreign language. The participation of medical specialists in the programs "Doctors without Borders" and the International Committee of the Red Cross requires future doctors not only proper language training, but also effective communication skills in a professional environment. It is assumed that the formation of the professional identity of medical university students can be effectively implemented if it is focused on the communicative aspect of professional language training. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of the communicative aspect of the language training of medical university students in the process of forming their professional identity. The research is based on occupational and linguistic-cultural methodological approaches. The significant role of the communicative aspect in the process of language training in the formation of the professional identity of medical university students is shown. The most important areas of professionally oriented language training are identified and characterized – training in professional communication, accuracy and clarity in the use of medical terminology, consultations with patients, registration of medical documentation and familiarization of future doctors with scientific research in a foreign language. The features of professional communication in the medical field in the context of intercultural interaction are revealed. It is proved that professional language training focused on the study of special medical terminology, cultural aspects, examples of medical documentation, as well as the participation of medical students in research activities contribute to the development of communication skills of future doctors in the process of forming their professional identity. The prospects for further research may be related to the study of the influence of the digital educational environment of the university on the process of forming the professional identity of medical students in the process of language training.

Journalism is traditionally considered as one of the means of effective communication. At the same time, writers often use a journalistic word to broadcast their ideological position regarding socio-cultural phenomena, respectively expressing original judgments of a cultural-philosophical nature. Among such authors is undoubtedly the outstanding Russian writer, thinker, historian, researcher of cultural and philosophical aspects of Russian history, public figure Alexander Solzhenitsyn (11.12.1918–03.08.2009), whose 105 th birthday is celebrated this year. The purpose of this article is to consider what cultural philosophical ideas this writer communicated to contemporaries and future generations in his journalistic works. The methodological basis of the research was made up of general scientific and interdisciplinary methods, as well as cultural analysis and cultural and philosophical tradition. According to the results of the research, the author comes to the conclusion that A. I. Solzhenitsyn actively used his journalistic works for cultural and philosophical communication with readers, which was expressed in philosophical and cultural reflection on such phenomena as, for example, freedom, nation, truth and lies, morality, morality, spirituality.

Nationally oriented teaching is one of the leading directions in the theory and practice of teaching Russian language as a means of intercultural communication. The need to train, in the absence of a language environment, specialists in various fields with knowledge of the Russian language, who will have to interact with their Russian colleagues and partners in the professional and everyday spheres, poses the task of developing effective means of teaching the Russian language. This article is devoted to the consideration of the concept of creating such a teaching tool — a nationally oriented linguistic and cultural educational dictionary for Vietnamese citizens studying the Russian language as a means of intercultural communication “Russia — Vietnam: a handshake of cultures”. The purpose of the article is to describe the features of the proposed macroand microstructure of the dictionary, to consider the linguistic and methodological tasks facing it, as well as issues related to its relevance and prospects for use. Based on the analysis of the data obtained during the preparation of the concept of the dictionary, the authors substantiate the principles for the formation of its content and structure: the selection of vocabulary is based on research in the field of contrastive semantics based on Russian-Vietnam ese comparisons; ideographic classification and classification of communicative intentions form the basis of the macrostructure of the dictionary. The article also presents the authors classification of speech intentions, used in the future dictionary, and examples of nationally oriented exercises for the formation of cross-cultural competence. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the research presented in the article are determined by the relevance and demand for the considered dictionary. As a tool for developing cross-cultural competence, the dictionary “Russia — Vietnam: Handshake of Cultures” will contribute not only to increasing the level of proficiency in Russian language as a means of intercultural communication in the process of learning and teaching, but also to further strengthening mutual understanding between representatives of two friendly countries and peoples.

This article is made in line with the discussion of the problems of speech genre studies. The main problem that the author is trying to solve is the development of a model for describing the source of the genre. At the same time, the concepts are introduced: the source of the genre. The relevance of the research is connected with the development of a methodology for carrying out procedures for describing the source of the genre according to a communicative model. The article proves the idea of correlation between the phenomena of the external communicative environment and the internal content of the source. Consequently, there is a need to reflect the external (extra-verbal, relational information) characteristics of the source in the communicative model of the speech product. So, the addressee factor (age, gender) or the time factor (date) can mark the information of the internal content of the source. Fixation and conceptual elaboration of the methodology for including certain signs of the external situation during certification allows us to construct an objective model of a typical speech work. The identification of conditionalities between external (communicative) and internal (linguistic) features of an utterance allows us to formulate hypotheses of speech genre studies and to identify problematic areas of functioning of the speech genre, which is the purpose of the source description. The article traces the relationship and interdependence of non-verbal (situational) phenomena and internal components of the utterance. The methods of identifying information about the non-verbal component of an utterance, which plays a communicative role in the model of a typical utterance, are considered.
