Determination of atmospheric transmission media properties in optical spectrum by analysis of optical beam profile 用光束轮廓分析测定大气传输介质光谱特性

This work is focused on the quick determination of characteristics of the atmospheric transmission media in optical band. Optical wireless links are briefly introduced. Two of the most important effects influencing optical signal properties in the atmosphere are shortly described. The goal of the work is in analysis of optical intensity profile. Due to the changes in the intensity profile we are able to determine volume of turbulence as well as we can calculate attenuation by aerosols in atmosphere.

Enhancement of plasmon resonances in the wave scattering by finite grids of circular silver wires 有限网格环形银线波散射中等离子体共振的增强

Using the field expansions in local coordinates and addition theorems for cylindrical functions, we consider the problem of the H-polarized plane wave scattered by a finite chain of circular wires. The absorption and scattering cross-sections are found numerically and plasmon and grating-type resonances are studied for the grids of silver nano-size wires.

Acoustooptic Bragg interaction in 2D photonic crystals 二维光子晶体中的声光布拉格相互作用

We calculated isotropic and anisotropic Bragg interaction geometry in silicon based 2D photonic crystals with square and triangle lattice. Bragg angle vs. acoustic wave frequency dependencies are presented and compared for both structures. Further research aims and expected effects are defined.

Electrical dc conductivity and laser damage threshold of pure and urea-doped KDP single crystals 纯和掺脲KDP单晶的直流电导率和激光损伤阈值

Electrical dc conductivity and laser damage threshold of pure and urea doped KH2PO4 crystals are investigated. It is found that the crystals with a low electrical conductivity have a high laser damage threshold. It is shown that increase of the resistivity and the laser damage threshold of the crystals realizes by the crystal growth from urea-containing aqueous solutions. The optimum molar value of urea in the solutions is found to be in 0.1–1 M range.

Dispersion of linear and non-linear properties of chalcogenide glasses is studied in semi-empirical approach. The process of ultra-short pulse energy deposition into a glass sample is analysed in a numerical model by variation of the Kerr coefficient, multi-photon absorption coefficient and group velocity dispersion coefficient.

An optical amplifier followed by a bistable element has been statistically analyzed before [1]. In this manuscript, output noise analysis represents, then signal to noise ratios (SNR) are calculated either for input or output. It will be shown that noise reduction, can be achieved by a proper selection of parameters.

Interrelationship “structure — Nonlinear optical properties” for acentric chlorides 非中心氯化物的相互关系“结构-非线性光学性质”

Structural parameters and physical properties are tabulated for >100 presently known simple and binary acentric chloride crystals. Distribution of the crystals over point symmetry groups has been defined in comparison with that of fluorides. A rosette of ellipses of acentricity has been outlined on the plane of the shortest chemical bond lengths metal-chlorine in the crystal lattice. A combination of chemical bond lengths most promising for pronounced nonlinear optical properties has been selected.

Optical formation of stable polymeric units for fiber-optics 光纤中稳定聚合物单元的光学形成

The process of optical formation of dielectric waveguiding structures in transparent photopolymerizable composition (PPC) containing non-polymerizable component (NC) is considered. It is shown, that using NC does not break modes of influencing radiation self-channeling, and on the contrary, allows to provide conditions of matching of the synthesized waveguiding structures with optical fibers. Results of computer simulation of nonlinear wave processes in a photopolymerizable medium and experiments on creation of polymeric channels under the influence of laser beams propagating from the face ends of optical fibers in the PPC based OCM-2 with methanol (NC) are presented.
