Challenges and advances of long-wavelength macromolecular crystallography at Diamond Light Source 金刚石光源下长波长大分子晶体学的挑战与进展

The beamline I23 at Diamond Light Source will be the first dedicated beamline for long-wavelength phasing experiments from macromolecular crystals (MX). The challenges of in-vacuum long-wavelength macromolecular crystallography and the opportunities by extending the wavelength range towards the sulfur and phosphorous K-absorption edges will be discussed and an overview on the current status of the project will be given.

Growth, luminescent properties and energy transfer processes in (Lu,Tb)3Al5O12:Ce single crystalline films (Lu,Tb)3Al5O12:Ce单晶薄膜的生长、发光特性和能量转移过程

Luminescence of Eu3+ activated Ca3Ga2Ge3O12 garnet under UV-VIS and UV-VUV excitations Eu3+活化Ca3Ga2Ge3O12石榴石在UV-VIS和UV-VUV激发下的发光

Eu3+ activated Ca3Ga2Ge3O12 ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction, and characterized with XRD, UV-VIS and UV-VUV spectroscopy at temperature range 10-300K. Structural analysis revealed only garnet phase. The results have shown that Eu3+ activated Ca3Ga2Ge3O12 exhibit efficient red emitting due to the 5D07F1,2,4 transitions under 393 nm (7F05L6 transition of Eu3+) or 250 nm (the broad O2-→Eu3+ charge transfer band) excitations. A strong activator emission of Ca3Ga2Ge3O12:Eu3+ ceramics can also be obtained upon excitation with the synchrotron radiation in the long-wavelength fundamental absorption edge region and in the region of photon multiplication, where energy transfer from the host to the Eu3+ ions takes place.

OSL properties of lithium aluminate crystals grown with Micro-Pulling-Down technique 微下拉法生长铝酸锂晶体的OSL特性

Selected optically stimulated luminescence properties of lithium aluminate crystals are presented within this work. Crystals were grown using Micro-Pulling-Down technique. The growth parameters and XRD analysis of obtained samples are demonstrated. OSL decay curves, thermal stability and fading of samples prepared under different conditions are compared.

Synthesis, characterization and electrical properties of glass-ceramic samples of MIxNa4−xCoFe(PO4)3 (MI - Li, K) composition MIxNa4−xCoFe(PO4)3 (MI - Li, K)成分玻璃陶瓷样品的合成、表征及电学性能

The vitreous samples of MIxNa4-xCoFe(PO4)3 (x = 0, 0.2 and 1.0, MI - Li, K) composition were prepared by melt method. Formation of Nasicon-related crystalline samples was caused by the annealing at 600 °C. The cell parameters calculation showed that its evolution along two series agrees with the substitution of Na+ by smaller Li+ and bigger K+ cations. The electrical properties were investigated by the impedance method.

Positronics of IR transmitting chalcohalide glass-ceramics 红外发射的硫化物玻璃陶瓷正电子学

Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy combined with Doppler broadening of annihilation radiation was applied to study free-volume entities in Ge-Ga-S glasses having different amount of CsCl additives. These results serve as a basis for new direction in the characterization of inner free-volume structure of chalcohalide glass-ceramics conditionally declared as Positronics.

Optical spectroscopy of borate glasses, doped with europium 掺有铕的硼酸盐玻璃的光谱学

The high optical quality glasses with Li2B4O7:Eu, CaB4O7:Eu, and LiCaBO3:Eu compositions containing 0.5 and 1.0 mol. % Eu2O3 have been obtained by standard glass technology. Using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and optical spectroscopy it was shown that the Eu impurity is incorporated into the Li2B4O7, CaB4O7, and LiCaBO3 glasses network as Eu3+ (4f6, 7F0) ions, exclusively. All observed f - f transitions of the Eu3+ centres in optical absorption, luminescence excitation and emission spectra were identified. Luminescence kinetic shows single exponential decay with different lifetimes for Eu3+ centres in the Li2B4O7, CaB4O7, and LiCaBO3 glasses.

Impact of composition modification of oxyorthosilicates single crystals on pulsed laser radiation self-action effect manifestation 氧硅酸单晶组成改性对脉冲激光辐射自作用效应表现的影响

For the first time the diagnostics of oxyorthosilicates single crystals based on self-action of picosecond range laser pulses at 1064 nm has been performed. It was found high sensitivity of the photoinduced refractive index variation to the substitution of the Lu atoms by Gd as well as the admixture of Ce to the LSO/LGSO crystalline matrix. The effect could be attributed to the different electron detrapping-recombination processes efficiencies due to the oxygen vacancies excitation.

Control of radiation sensitivity of fluorites doped with non-isovalent impurities 掺杂非同价杂质萤石的辐射灵敏度控制

The paper presents the results of a study of thermo- and photostimulated transformations of colour centres in doped fluorite crystals. By means of certain sequence of such operations one can double the concentration of working MA+-colour centres.
