The objective of this study was to investigate the causes of poor performance among grade 12 pupils on topics related to graphs of motion in Luampa District of Western Province at Luampa and Mbanyutu Secondary schools. In order to attain the objective of this study pre-post quasi experimental and survey designs, meaning qualitative and quantitative research approach was used. The subjects of the study were 32 learners or students and 2 teachers of physics who were selected by simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire and observation and to supplement these instruments, tests, pre-test and post-test were used to collect data of the study. The data gathered through tests were analyzed by using statistical package for social science, observation and questionnaires were analysed using QDA Miner Lite. Results of the study revealed that learner centred approach and planning lessons before teaching can improve the performance of grade 12 learners on topics involving graphs of motion. This in turn improves the performance of learners in physics. The researcher assessed the impact of learner centred on grade 12 learners’ academic achievement physics as a result of his assessment he assured that the learner centred approach has an impact on academic achievement of grade 12 pupils in physics. So, the schools which were under study can make continuous program to support learner centred approach to improve the academic performance of grade 12 learners in physics. All the findings showed that learner centred and effective lesson planning can improve the performance of grade 12 learners in topics which involve graphs of motion in Luampa district, especially at Mbanyutu and Luampa secondary schools.

Mathematical core literacies centrally reflect the curriculum goals of mathematics, and are acquired and developed by students when studying and applying mathematics. Mathematical modeling, a part of core literacies and an essential capability for senior high school students, is critical to their innovative practice and deep learning. The new mathematics curriculum standards have included mathematical modeling as core literacy and China’s college entrance exam has started to highlight the applied nature of mathematics. However, equal stress fails to be laid on mathematical modeling in math class. Against such a background, this paper specifies the importance, and summarizes the current challenges alongside paths of developing mathematical modeling capability.

In early 2020, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 completely changed the teaching form of higher education in China. Under such circumstances, online teaching and examinations have become new teaching methods. By studying the existing literature on online tests and analyzing the characteristics of the online assessment, this paper introduced the large-scale online final examination of the Central University of Finance and Economics from the aspects of regulations, organization, and quality control. Finally, relevant suggestions for improving the quality of online examinations were put forward.

In the era of “Internet +”, the rapid development of information technology has also promoted the continuous innovation in the field of education. In recent years, scholars have begun to pay attention to the use of the Internet to promote teacher professional development, which provides a new path for teacher professional development, but at the same time, secondary school English teachers also face new challenges. Therefore, through SWOT analysis, this paper accurately grasps the strengths and weaknesses then provides relevant strategies for the professional development of English teachers based on opportunities and challenges of “Internet+” secondary school English teachers’ professional development.

Parental attitude is one of the important factors to promote the formation of the long-term mechanism of the double reduction policy (DRP). By exerting ABC Model, the questionnaire and interview are designed to investigate the attitudes and influencing factors from the parents of middle school students in Nanchong towards the DRP from the three dimensions. Three dimensions are cognition, behavior, and affect. Parental attitudes studied contributes to the formation of long-term mechanism of the DRP. The results show that on the affect dimension, the parental attitude of supporting the DRP policy has a significant positive impact; parental cognition of the DRP shows positive impact on students’ learning and school education; in behavioral indicators, parental attitude towards the DRP confirms positive supportive behavior. Three suggestions are proposed based on the findings.

Curriculum thinking politics is becoming more and more important in the ideological and political work of colleges and universities, and the development of engineering curriculum thinking politics is a difficult point in the process of promoting curriculum thinking politics in colleges and universities. In this paper, we selected the course of concrete structure design principles for research and analysis, and found that the course thinking politics of engineering majors is facing real difficulties such as insufficient attention, the cognitive bias, of course, thinking politics among teachers of professional courses, and the complexity, of course, thinking politics increased by the diversified development of students. Through the practice of the reform of the curriculum of the principle of concrete structure design, we summarize the paths of the effect of the curriculum of engineering courses in colleges and universities, deepen the importance of the curriculum of engineering courses, enhance the coupling of engineering professional education and the curriculum of political education, and provide reference significance for the curriculum of engineering majors to carry out the reform of the curriculum of political thinking.

Educational practice is an important practical teaching link in the process of training normal professional talents, and it is an important teaching method to test the theoretical learning and practical ability of students majoring in physical education. Through the methods of literature, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, this paper investigates the quality of educational practice of physical education students in Changsha Normal University, understands the current situation of physical education students in the process of practice, and investigates the students from three aspects: the basic situation of practice, process evaluation and feedback analysis. It is believed that physical education students should increase teaching practice courses in personnel training; rich teaching content, strengthen multi-channel teaching skills training; the establishment of school and outside the twinning assistance program to strengthen the guidance of educational practice instructors.

Multicultural and anti-racist education are pedagogies developed to include all students, despite their cultural and lingual backgrounds. As educative pedagogies, they recognize the importance of ethnic and cultural diversity in affecting people’s existence, social involvements, identities, and educational opportunities (Gay, 2004). This paper presents various approaches that encourage curriculum reform through the lens of Critical Race Theory (CRT). The paper highlights the efficacy of the different approaches in providing equal opportunities for students from diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds to succeed academically.

Mathematical concepts are the basic elements of mathematics and the key for students to understanding and mastering problem-solving skills along with mathematical thoughts, so they are critical to learning and teaching mathematics. However, current mathematical concept teaching in senior high school is facing various challenges. For example, many teachers ignore the background against which these concepts were developed and fail to lead students to explore the essence of concepts, intentionally memorize mathematical concepts, or figure out their structure. The concept teaching based on the APOS (action, process, object, and schema) theory now prevails. This paper explores the strategies of teaching mathematical concepts in senior high school using the APOS theory, so as to provide a reference for teachers who also engage themselves in this field.

In the post-epidemic era, international Chinese online teaching still faces four problems in classroom interaction: implement difficulties, single interactive form, insufficient interaction design, and unsatisfactory interaction effects. Interaction, which plays a very important role in second language acquisition, is an inevitable path to realize communication goals and improve the effectiveness of international Chinese online teaching. Therefore, we can improve the classroom interaction of international Chinese online teaching from five aspects: teaching content, teaching process, teaching medium, learners and teachers.
