This paper investigates the routing problem of a patrolling unit in a distributed service network. The objective is to determine an optimal routing so that response time to service call in a distributed network can be optimized. A node-arc network is presented to model problem with nodes representing the location of clients while arcs length the travel time between nodes. Applying an analysis on the expected maximum response times on each arc to all nodes, we re-model the problem into a new node-arc network with arc lengths are measured in expected maximum response time. A mathematical model is then applied to select the best route minimizing the expected maximum response time of the whole system. The mathematical model can be easily formulated and implemented in commonly available package.

Service aggregation play crucial role in service provisioning, for those components that follow a certain sequence and perform a combination of coarse grained services, they are qualified for service aggregation. Service aggregation is validated in parsing statistics, this pre-built coarse grained service provides upward service provisioning and brings in its values in eliminating the integration interface and risk caused by boundary implementation. In the new age business driven services, coarse grained services construct the foundation of enterprise skeleton and rely on the aggregation from fine grained services, this shorten the gap between business and IT and streamline time to market. The skeleton it produced exploits a loosely coupled approach in creating integration interoperability and constructing the foundation for service.

Unexpected events may cause some disruptions in the supply chain system. While unexpected events on the coordinated operation of the supply chain have increasingly influenced, existing research literature on the supply chain is in a stationary environment. Based on the modelling of supply chain system and the unexpected events, we give communication mechanisms of an unexpected event in the supply chain, and through two different distribution to simulate the uncertainty unexpected event impact on the supply chain. From the perspective of supply chain risk management, we provide the inspiration for the manager.

Customers' switching behavior analysis plays an important role in affecting market share and profitability of service providers. Existing researches mainly focus on the service provider selection criteria. Based on these studies, we propose a dynamic simulation model to study the impact of service performance changes on customers' switching, and the corresponding influence on the changing of market share and profitability of service providers. Our model can integrate common variables which may influence switching such as service performance, customers' satisfaction, loyalty, social interactions and so on, which can get quantifiable and reasonable dynamic simulation results. Simulation results are also provided.

Technological innovation was essentially to create new knowledge. And knowledge transfer was the driving force of new knowledge creation. This paper summed up six important factors influencing knowledge transfer within R&D unit from the perspective of knowledge transfer infrastructure, including tacitness knowledge, transfer willingness, transfer ability, trust, knowledge distance, and absorptive capability. It showed that a certain differences existed under different contexts through data analysis based on 127 survey samples, which could provide implications for technological innovation improvement.

Classification with incomplete survey data is a new subject, and also which is an important theme in data mining. This paper proposes a novel, powerful classification machine, support vector machine (SVM) based model of classification for incomplete survey data. Using this model, an incomplete survey data is translated to fuzzy patterns without missing values firstly, and then used these fuzzy patterns as the exemplar set for teaching the support vector machine. Experimental results from the real-world data verify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed model. Compared with other classification techniques, the method can utilize more information provided by the data, and reveal the risk of the classification result.

We study the value relevance of accounting earning information of dual-listing companies. We find that the accounting earning information according to HK-GAAP (or IASs) is useful for H share, the investors in A share markets prefer unexpected EPS to EPS, the financial statements based on HK-GAAP(or IASs) also provides useful information to the investors in A share markets, the investors in H share markets make their decisions mainly depending on HK-GAAP (or IASs)'s information. Therefore, dual-listing companies should provide accounting information based on HK-GAAP (or IASs) to overseas' investors. From the view of the information transmission, the segmentation between mainland and Hong Kong capital markets is distinct.

The effect of return on price and profit of manufacturers and retailers in chain to chain competition is examined under uncertainty yielding several new and important conclusions. First, within certain range of demand uncertainty, the return policy is win-win for manufacturers and retailers, and improves efficiency of the whole supply chain. As the intensity of competition increases, the win-win range becomes more robust. By contrast, monopoly supply chain is impossible. On the other hand, when the uncertainty is less than another boundary, manufacturers have strong motivation for the returns policies. We demonstrate that in general, returns policies intensify the competition among retailers, however, within some range of demand uncertainty, returns policies mitigate the competition among manufacturers and otherwise, intensify the competition among manufacturers which leads to a decrease in wholesale price. Those results enlarge current conclusions with related return policy.

Though P2P (peer-to-peer) technology makes it possible that the number of the clients can be infinite, P2P technology still has some problems, for instance, instability and fluctuation, which may influence the quality of service (QoS). In this paper, two novel P2P-based architectures are proposed, which can avoid the system fluctuation caused by the new joining nodes or the departing nodes. And a new incentive mechanism is introduced, which can well motivate the clients to be seeding server. Analysis of the number of the nodes and the benefits of the issuers shows that this incentive mechanism can guarantee system reliability and solve the problems of scalability, QoS, and the benefits assignment of the server issuers.

In this paper, the effects on the optimal decision was studied, when agents are presented with the option of human capital investment besides working on their own tasks and transferring knowledge to each other within a team environment where each member will be rewarded not only on the basis of own productivity but additionally on the basis of the whole team's total output. The key findings of this paper are that agent's decisions to help one another have economic content and are strongly influenced by promotion-based incentives. In addition, the contents of the contract also affect the agent's decision on human capital investment, the negative effect for a large expected promotion prize on transferring knowledge efforts is lessened when the firm is better able to credit the agent for transferring knowledge to others.
