The article describes the importance of early and timely diagnosis, the difficulties faced by specialists at the stage of diagnostic examination, as well as the need to provide corrective assistance at the early stages of the formation and development of a child. The article presents the main aspects of pedagogical diagnostics of the psychoverbal development of young children, describes the parameters for assessing the psychoverbal development of a third year child and the scoring of each parameter.

The article discusses the issues of studying and forming communication skills among junior schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities studying in special (correctional) schools; describes the specificity of communication of mentally retarded primary schoolchildren, the direction of correctional and pedagogical work on the formation of communication skills among students for successful socialization. Communication has been proven to play an important social role in the lives of children with mental retardation.

Possible ways of forming universal components of functional literacy are listed and justified. The article deals with modern problems of diagnosing spelling skills and correcting dysorphography in schoolchildren. Conclusions are made about the shortcomings of the existing system, and the author's approach to solving this problem is proposed. The author proposes to highlight the constituent blocks of the process and correction of dysorphography: motivational, factual, algorithmic, motor, visual-spatial, speech and gnostic-practical. Based on the results of the diagnostic examination, a spelling disorder profile was developed.

The article presents the results of a study involving state pedagogical staff of the Department of Education to identify professional difficulties in organizing inclusive education in preschool educational institutions and in schools.
