The aim of this article is a better organization of an aircraft maintenance equipment in the hangar stand of the Line Maintenance of the Czech Airline Technics company. The theoretical part of the article is about introduction of a situation and a description of used methods. The practical part is about the better organization itself and it arose from a requirement to propose an order for the current unorganized placement of the equipment. Effective organization of the workplace is proposed with regards to set criteria which were processed with the use of a coordinate method and multi-criteria decision making. The coordinate method finds ideal placement for the equipment presented in the hangar. It takes into consideration the places of use as well as other places affecting the placement. The multi-criteria decision making is used to evaluate the benefit of each equipment. With the consideration of the 5S method principles, the output of the article is a practical implementation of the described process of the better organization of the equipment in the newly built hangar S at the Václav Havel Airport, Prague, Czech Republic. The implementation achieved standardization of the inner organization, setting of rules and solving tasks needed for getting the new hangar into operation.

Turbojets still have their role in aviation, mostly due to the advent of unmanned aerial vehicles. The main goal of the present research is to develop a preliminary airborne test bed for a micro turbojet engine to accomplish performance measurements. The authors have carried out a multidisciplinary assessment of various fields of powerplant integration into an already existing radio controlled aircraft. This paper deals with the assessment of wing loading, center of gravity and stability questions. The other part of this complex research focuses on the measurement system that allows remote collection of airborne engine operation. The entire work, presented here and in Part II, is intended to show benefits of using Turbofan Power Ratio (TPR) in such kind of turbine engines as well, which can be considered as novelty for turbojet engines on the contrary to conventional controls based on rotor speed (n) or Engine Pressure Ratio (EPR).

The paper presents the concept of a workplace for multirotor UAV control parameters measurement. The workplace consists of tensometric measurement devices, which measure the thrust and reactive forces of the UAV motors, and a servomechanism, which simulates angular motion for the flight control board of the UAV. The paper describes two methods of measurement, one with a fixed flight control board without the servo and one with the flight control board mounted to the servomechanism pivoting it around its pitch axis. The goal is to prove that with the servomechanism the flight control board acts more like in real flight in comparison to the tests with the fixed board.

Customers and also sellers pay attention to prices. The airline is the seller in this analysis. For the airline, the price is very significant, as it brings to the company the funds that are needed for further activities. The price also brings a profit for the effort that has been expended. In particular, the price of the product is from the customer’s point of view the most important factor that has a great impact on sales. The price is constantly influenced by the company’s goal, competition, marketing mix strategy, demand, inflation, costs and the nature of the market. We can therefore argue that pricing needs to be constantly monitored and adjusted, as it is a dynamic and ever-changing process that helps the airline to survive with the highest possible profit or, conversely, with the least possible losses. For the airline, pricing policy and pricing tactics play a major role, as its success in the aviation market depends on the correct determination and setting of prices. The analysis is focused on monitoring ticket sales during selected days and processing flight data. The aim is to find out the specifics of flying sales based on the evaluation of the results of observation of individual flights from Slovakia to the selected destination..

Aircraft airworthiness is maintained by certified personnel. Certifying process of personnel involve theoretical and practical training. Both parts of training, theory and praxis can be upgraded thanks to experimental research. Partial results of research should allow more efficient training, what in final result give better education, imagination and understanding. Consequently, graduate technician is better prepared for his work. Useful ways of training modernization are introduced in an article.

The paper presents a new concept to supplement conventional firefighting aerial forces with the use of UAVs for swarm formation flying, coordination and quick turnaround times, with economically improved figures for cost per hour vs. amount of payload delivered in a given time frame. Given the high cost of operations and potential lack of qualified pilots, maintenance technicians and the need to address the logistics of the human resource chain far in advance, an unmanned option with less human related requirements is investigated.

Digital systems and control algorithms for small jet engines form a separate field of their development. In the Laboratory of Intelligent Control Systems of Aircraft Engines (LIRSLM) at the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University in Kosice (TUKE), as part of control systems research, we also deal with the selection of a suitable fuel-oil pump controller. Commercial of the shelf hobby controllers usually uses pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to operate set the desired speed of the fuel pump. Will the change in PWM / sampling period affect the accuracy, speed of fuel delivery control to the engine? This is the question we are trying to answer in this article through obtained measurements /analysis of the effectiveness of two selected fuel-oil pump regulators. The recorded results indicate the advantages and disadvantages of specific regulators for individual areas, situations and levels of use and will serve future users and scientific research teams in building a control system with the same/similar apparatus.

The article deals with the research of the attitude of the Faculty of Aeronautics Technical University in Košice students to the learning of aeronautical subjects. Aeronautics and aviation technologies are constantly evolving, improving, and requiring well-trained and educated people. Didactics of teaching and learning of aeronautical subjects have not yet been in detail researched. In this area, research is significant because of the new aeronautical study program, Air traffic management, and its related subjects at the Faculty of Aeronautics. In this paper, we present some research results on the approach of students of the Faculty of Aeronautics TUKE to the study of professional subjects.

The article deals with the identification of praxeological processes in the education of professional staff in the conditions of introducing new aircraft into the air operation in order to increase the professional readiness and safety of air operation. It analyses, evaluates the theoretical and practical part of the education of professional staff at the Faculty of Aeronautics in the past, and compares it with existing educational processes abroad. This paper also proposes alternatively elaborated models of training within which the direction and strategy of education of professional personnel for the needs of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic will be determined.
