Automated recommendation of initial mass positions for mass segmentation in digital mammograms 数字乳房x光片中质量分割初始质量位置的自动推荐

The performance of mass segmentation is greatly influenced by an initial position of a mass. Some researchers performed mass segmentation with the initial position of a mass given by radiologists. The purpose of our research is to find the initial position for mass segmentation and to notify the segmented mass to radiologists without any additional information on mammograms. The proposed system consists of breast segmentation by region growing and opening operations, decision of an initial seed with characteristics of masses, and mass segmentation by a level set segmentation. A seed for mass segmentation is set based on mass scoring measure calculated by block-based variances and masked information in a sub-sampled mammogram. We used a DDSM database to evaluate the system, and the accuracy of mass segmentation is 78% sensitivity at 4 FP/image.

Analysis about impact of GSM-R cell handoff on data transfer delay in China Train Control System 中国列控系统GSM-R小区切换对数据传输延迟的影响分析

China Train Control System level 3 (CTCS-3) transmits bi-directional track-train data via Global System Mobile for Railway (GSM-R) network, and GSM-R network should provide secure wireless environment to ensure train operation safety. GSM-R network handoff will cause a brief interruption of communication. If a train control message is on transmission during this interruption time, some message data units may be erroneously transmitted during the transmission interference and must be corrected by re-transmission. These re-transmissions result in a delay. This paper analysis's the message transfer mechanism, summarizes some factors influence on the message of Movement Authority (MA) transfer delay during a handoff interference, obtains values of transfer delay of MA affected by handoff, and at last verifies that recovery period of GSM-R network required in QoS specification can meet the needs of train control data transmission.

Power saving for multiple MEMS-based devices by probabilistic data partition 基于概率数据分区的多mems器件节能研究

This paper considers an optimization problem for minimizing the power consumption of MEMS-based devices. We first map the time-consuming problem from the integer space Zn to the Euclidean space Rn and employ a gradient-based method to solve the mapped problem in Rn. The great strength of the proposed method lies in its linear convergence. Experimental results show that significant energy can be saved by shutting down as many unnecessary MEMS-based devices as possible. The results also suggest that other similar optimization problems can be solved by the same way.

We describe a collaboratively managed television service, combining audiovisual techniques, social networks concepts, and services distributed over the Internet. We named this service Concurrent Network Television - CNTV. This proposal aims to fill the gap between the audience and new actors that will be involved in broadcast production as a consequence of the new configuration of the audio-visual sector after the completion of the analog switch-off, and the multiplication of diffusion channels. Indeed, with an appropriate strategy, the system discussed makes it possible real personal television, that is, the television I configure for myself, but also for the rest of the world.

Towards high level of presence: Combining static infrastructure with dynamic services 面向高层次的存在:将静态基础设施与动态服务相结合

In this paper, we present a new approach to facilitate test subjects to achieve a high level of presence in a long haul flight simulator. The approach not only addresses the likeness of the static infrastructure, but also highlights the importance of integrating the dynamic services, such as flight attendant service, flying simulation service, etc. with the static infrastructure to create a dynamic flight virtual environment for test subjects. The integration procedure is a time driven unified process. User experiment result shows that the approach helps test subjects to achieve a high level of flight presence in the flight simulator.

Analysis and measurement of antenna passive intermodulation 天线无源互调的分析与测量

The passive intermodulation (PIM) interference caused by antenna nonlinearity has a serious impact on the performance of the high power multi-frequency communication system, especially when the antenna is shared by the transmitter and the receiver at the same time. Theoretical analysis on the PIM was first discussed in this paper, and then the designed measurement system was introduced. The testing experiment was carried out on the antennas of a special communication system under various conditions. The main factors causing PIM was discussed through analysis on the acquired data. The result also shows that the PIM measurement system serves as a reliable tool to predict whether an antenna has an accepted PIM level in actual communication system or not.

IT governance practices model in IT project approval and implementation in Malaysian public sector 马来西亚公共部门IT项目批准和实施中的IT治理实践模型

In this global era, IT investment is rapidly increasing. IT governance practices must be emphasized in order to retrieve competitive advantage from IT investment. The aim of this research is to develop IT governance practices model for Malaysian public sector. Interview sessions with IT personnel at management level at Putrajaya were conducted. Based on the interviews, a theoretical model of IT governance which consists of senior management involvement in IT, corporate performance measurement systems, corporate communications systems, risk management, strategic alignment, value delivery, ethics/culture of compliance and resource management was constructed. Thus the structure, process and mechanism involved in each of the entities in the model could assist Malaysian public sector to inculcate IT governance practices in their operations in order to sustain competitive advantage.

Efficient uncompressed video communications using multicarrier, redundancy exploitation and low density error correction techniques 利用多载波、冗余利用和低密度纠错技术的高效无压缩视频通信

In this paper, we present an efficient system for transmitting uncompressed image (HD) over wireless noisy channel. With the advances in RF technology and the huge bandwidth available worldwide in the 57–66 GHz millimeter-wave unlicensed spectrum, WPANs that can support multigigabit transmission are being developed. However, retransmissions due to error in packets may be unsuitable for uncompressed video streaming. In this paper we develop, simulate and evaluate an efficient system for reliable transmission of uncompressed image over wireless channel. The system uses image partitioning for redundancy exploitation, LDPC (low density parity check code) for channel coding and OFDM to recover the fading problem. Simulation using MATLAB indicates that with small SNR, we can achieve small image symbol error rate and high PSNR.

Currently there are many security systems relying on tradition biometrics for the purpose of authorization of legal users into a system. However, traditional biometrics systems which commonly use behavioral biometrics have shown serious drawbacks, violating two of the main requirements of a reliable biometrics, namely permanence and circumvention. The paper explores the effectiveness of the features extracted from the envelogram of joint time-frequency domain of a generic heart sound signal to be used as biometric human identifiers. A powerful signal processing tool, The Wavelet Transform is used to analyze the signal in time-frequency domain and to extract suitable features by with the help of computational software, Matlab.

Interval matrix models of design iteration 设计迭代的区间矩阵模型

Engineering design and development of new products, which are either industrial products, technical innovations, hardware or software, often contain a very complex set of relationships among many coupled tasks. Controlling, redesigning and identifying features of these tasks can be usefully performed by a suitable model based on the design structure matrix in an iteration procedure. The proposed interval matrix model of design iteration controls and predicts slow and rapid convergence of iteration work on tasks within a project. A new model is based on Perron-Frobenius theorem and interval linear algebra where intervals and interval matrices are employed instead of real numbers and real matrices. In this way a more relaxed quantitative estimation of tasks is achieved and the presence of undetermined quantities is allowed to a certain extent. The presented model is demonstrated in the example of simplified software development process.
