International and national research results have pointed out that the employment of university students is increasing. According to studies in the region, the main motivation factor for student employment is financial reasons, students are motivated by financial independence from their parents, funding for leisure programs and daily expenses. The results have also highlighted that students with unfavorable social status indicators are forced to work, they are less characterized by the horizontal fit of work and studies. The negative effects of student employment are more pronounced in students who struggle with everyday financial problems, work out of coercion, and are disappointed in university education. In their case, the attractive effect of the labor market prevails, and therefore they are even willing to interrupt their studies. In our current research, we examine employment opportunities and changes in financial status of working students during the coronavirus epidemic.

The 19th-century cafés in Pest meant more than simple entertainment venues for people of the age. Their basic function, of course, was hospitality, but they gave much more than that to citizens, aristocrats, and rural people or foreigners traveling through the city. Travelers remembered the city’s brilliant cafés in many colorful travelogues. The lively social life that took place here in the 19th century attracted many to the town of cafés. In my study, my primary goal was to present the best-known tableware companies of 19th-century cafes, along with their implications for social and political life. We have seen that, in addition to cultural and professional debates, participants have paid close attention to discussing current political issues of the age, focusing on the operation of table companies in the early and middle centuries. The first revolutionary aspirations also started from the cafés. However, after the defeat of the War of Independence, the role of literary cafés, once revolutionary centers, changed. From the 1850s onwards, their primary task was to provide shelter for those actively involved in the revolution. With the selfless help of many coffee shop owners, the literary and cultural life of the coffee shop rebounded and life began to return to its old wheel. Then, in the 1890s, coffee shops had to adapt to the needs of the modern era, also due to increasing foreign influences. By then, the city is no longer just about cafes in the classical sense of the word. There is also an increasing place for musical entertainment venues that provide modern forms of entertainment. In cafes, however, despite modernization, we can find the classic table companies of previous decades, proving that the arts have also found their audiences in a renewable café environment.

In this paper, I illustrate the institutional (and relational) sociological conception of social position and social status by a brief description of a case study. I analyse the social positions and the social statuses of the workers, as well as the determinedness of social statuses by the given social positions on a machine industrial shop floor. First, I outline the interests and social powers of the workers. Next, I map the social positions of the workers, that is, I outline the social structure of the shop floor. Then I deal with the social statuses and the social determinedness of social statuses, and finally I briefly touch upon the performance orientations of the workers.

In our study, we present the importance of creativity and its possible rebuilding into education. We also consider it important to examine Group Flow, because in education, group synchronicity and its combined use in enhancing creativity is important for students entering the labour market to be aware of raising and maintaining their performance at a higher level. To work in a group means to achieve goals and work together, and that can only be achieved through creativity. It can be shown that if someone is creative in the group, it spreads to the other members. However, a whole new creative teaching methodology is needed that can be implemented in a new digital technology age. Introducing or rebuilding creativity into education is an exciting area for the above.

My study serves a dual purpose. It aims to present the social and cultural changes that took place in the last decade of the 19th century with the most thorough analysis possible. In the first half of the dissertation I analyze in more detail the development history of Pest-Buda between 1880–1873. We can see how three separate parts of the city have become, in a few years, one of the great powers of the world, with a population of one million. The breakthrough in the history of Budapest was clearly brought about by the possibility for the Hungarian capital to participate independently in world exhibitions. After the initial successes, the culmination was the national exhibition in 1896, commemorating the millennial anniversary of the founding of the state. In this exhibition, Hungary presented all the stages of economic and cultural development that eventually made it a world city. In addition to the Historical Major Group and the Present Major Group, other important key players in the exhibition were undoubtedly elements of an entertaining building complex erected in the vicinity of the exhibition space. Here, the visiting guests could relax from the fatigue of busy everyday life, while getting to know the central elements of Hungarian and Turkish, as well as various Western European cultures. The entertainment complex was attacked by many due to its popularity and although it was unprofitable throughout its operation, it brought a new color to the history of hospitality in Hungary, thanks to which it was worth three seasons before its demolition.
