This study was aimed to determine the development levels of higher-order thinking skills on students through the guided inquiry-based learning approach. The research method used was experimental, with true empirical design research. The sample selection was performed by random sampling technique. Data was collected through five tests of essay forms in accordance with various indicators of higher-order thinking abilities, including analysing (C4), evaluating (C5) and creating (C6). The results of this study indicated that the percentage of higher-order thinking ability in the experimental class was 86%, while in the control class was lower, at 79.3%. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that students with higher-order thinking skills taught through this guided inquiry-based learning were superior compared to those taught by conventional learning.AbstractThis study was aimed to determine the development levels of higher-order thinking skills on students through the guided inquiry-based learning approach. This study aims to describe the quality of teaching materials developed in the form of ethnomatematic Student Worksheets (LKS) in building understanding of students' initial concepts that are valid, practical and effective. This research is a development research that refers to the simplified Thiagarajan 4-D model into three stages including defining, designing, developing. The product produced is a Student Activity Sheet based on ethnomatematics in building understanding of concepts, lesson plans and Tests of Learning Outcomes so that learning objectives are achieved. The results of the study show that the Student Activity Sheet is ethnomatemically based in developing the initial concept of student understanding that has been developed to meet the criteria of valid, practical and effective.

The aims of this research were to know the effect activity learning to student learning outcomes used model Discovery Learning with Scaffolding method and outcomes at the material of light. This is research an experimental study with the research design Pre-Experimental. The population this research is student VIII class in State Junior High School 1 Kamal. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Sampling used VIII-I as many 36 students as experimental class. Technique of analyzing data use simple regression with program SPSS version 18.00. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that: there was an effect activity learning to student learning at sig was 0,030, because sig < 0.05 so H0 rejected with regression equation Y’ = 26,882+ 0,660X.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan metode Scaffolding pada materi cahaya.
[3] [a] [a] [a] [b] [a] [b] [a] [b] [a] [b] [b] [b]。

This study aims to: (1) look for the highest and lowest values in number and algebraic material of Junior High School in East Lombok, (2) the percentage of errors made by students when answering math problems, and (3) the diagnosis of student’s misconception in doing number and algebra at Junior High School in East Lombok. This research is a quantitative- descriptive research. For the sampling technique, this study used purposive sampling. The test was conducted in five classes with 200 students as research participants. The sampling took into account the level of students’ ability and school readiness. The sampling size is 361 students from five schools. The data were in the form of students’ responses and those were analyzed using the Quest program. The results of this study are as follows. First, in terms of the difficulty index, 40 items (47%) are easy category items, 8% are medium category items, and 45% are difficult category items. Out of the 40 problems, 82% of the items have good difficulty index, while 18% are not good. Of the four alternative answers, 88% of the distractor is in a good category, and 12% are not good. Second, based on the students’ answers, the percentage of error is 52 %. Third, based on the result of the analysis using the Quest program, of the tow materials, the biggest misconception is in number with the percentage of 68%. The dominant error is in the indicator representing fractions in various forms, with a percentage of 22%.

AbstractTeaching materials are an important factor in the success of the learning process. This study aims to develop interactive electronic teaching materials for Calculus courses, especially the area of the region bounded above by function f, below by function g, on the left by the line x = a, and the right by the line x = b, it is based on the needs of students and lecturers related to interactive materials. The method used is Research and Development methods with ADDIE procedures, that is, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In this paper, just until the implementation stage. The developed teaching materials consist of fully developed text, audio, and video media. Supporting software used are 3D Flipbook, Video Scribe, and Geogebra. Base on data analyss, the interactive electronic teaching materials can improve student skill to find the area of the region bounded by two functions. Key Words: Development, Teaching Material, Intractive, Area of Region

The aim of this research is to improve students’ learning motivation in their learning process by using biocard media on the topic of taxonomy at Junior High School 10 Pontianak. This is a classroom action research for the seventh grade students in which 10 male students and 20 female students participated. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, the first and second cycle research instruments were questionnaires, each consisted of 20 statements. Based on the results of the first cycle research, students' learning motivation which included in the low category was 6.67%, while the high category was 73.33% and 20% was very high. In cycle 2 there is an increase in students’ learning motivation that there are no students (0%) who are categorized as low, 10% are in the high category and 90% are categorized very high. It can be concluded that by using biocard media, it can increase students' learning motivation in the taxonomy material.

This study aims to determine the validity and level of readability of the Basic Concepts Science module with SETS vision (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) based on Science Literacy. Testing the validity of the module in this R & D (Research and Development) uses content validity and construct validity tests, while testing the readability level of the module using the crossing test technique. The results of the study show the level of validity of the modules developed is included in the category of very high validity so that the module can be used. Meanwhile, the results of the module readability level test show that the Basic Concepts Science Module Based on Science Literacy SETS developed in the category is quite easy to understand and ideal for use in learning.
