Inter-ethnic conflicts often occur in West Kalimantan, especially in Pontianak City, especially between Dayak, Chinese, and Malay ethnicities. Therefore, to build harmony in life between ethnicities, public spaces are needed that are accessed by various groups. Coffee shops are one of the potential public spaces to build harmony between ethnic groups. This article aims to determine the existence of coffee shops as public spaces in Kota Pontianak and the role of coffee shops as a space to build harmony in Pontianak City. This article publishes the results of research that uses qualitative approaches with phenomenological methods, data collection using interviews, observation, observation techniques, and documentation. Data analysis uses an interactive analysis model. The research found that coffee rafting in Pontianak City becomes a public space that contains democratic, responsive, and meaningful values so that people from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds visit coffee shops to rest, discuss business affairs, do tasks, have meetings, and so on. People who visit coffee shops come from various ethnicities (Malay, Dayak, Chinese, Bugis, Javanese, and Madurese). Through the coffee shop, they meet to talk about various things, so that familiarity is well- built and strengthens social integration. Besides being able to build a harmonious inter-ethnic life, the existence of coffee shops can also increase the regional original income (PAD) of Pontianak City and absorb labor.

The condition of urban society is haunted by the turmoil of facing the seemingly erratic turn of the times and experiencing a sense of loss from himself, namely the spiritual side. So, Sufism da'wah was born by KH. M. Luqman Hakim, a charismatic kyai and multidisciplinary religious scholar with the aim of treating their dry and withered spirit. The purpose of the research is to understand and explore more deeply the Sufism da'wah of KH M. Luqman Hakim in urban Muslim communities. The research is a qualitative phenomenological case study model and primary data is obtained from the interview and the documentation of KH M. Luqman Hakim’s da’wah and his jama'ah. Luqman Hakim’s sufistic recitation congregations spread across 7 major cities in Indonesia, as well as secondary data from scientific journals, books, websites, and documentation. The research found that Sufism da'wah by Shaykh KH M. Luqman Hakim was carried out in three forms, namely da'wah mimbariyah, da'wah through YouTube, and written da'wah. The main target of his da'wah is the urban Muslim community. The material is tailored to the diverse spiritual capacities of the congregation not only attracts his da’wah to urban Muslims of generations X and Y, but also millennials and Z generations.

This research analyzes the phenomenon of changes in the isnad system in learning on the Qur’an on the Qara'a mobile application. This mobile application provides Al-Qur'an learning services that are supported by machine learning and artificial intelligence to correct the user's reciting of the Qur'an so that they have a "teacher" studying the Qur'an anywhere and anytime. The question then is, why has there been a change in the isnad system in transmitting scientific reciting of the Qur'an to the Qara'a mobile application, and what are the implications caused by this? In explaining the things that have been mentioned, this research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-critical analysis model; this method necessitates a pattern of depiction that does not merely present data objectively but also explains the implications of findings from related data. This research shows that changes in the isnad system in transmitting scientific reciting of the Qur'an are inevitably caused by mediamorphosis with the development of information and communication technology. In this context, this change occurs because of four main things, namely industry needs, demands for other technological needs, supporting legal actions and regulations, and societal pressure. The implications of this change occur in the process of mediamorphosis of the transmission media of reciting Al-Qur'an scholarship or even all of the transmission media of Islamic scholarship and the emergence of machine learning and artificial intelligence as new religious authorities.

The people of Lampung, who are predominantly moslem, have a form of implementing customary fines known as dau. There is the term cepala or cepalau, which means 'violation of customary law' in Lampung, which is generally based on Islamic law. The people of Lampung, especially the Pepadun custom in West Tulangbawang Regency, adhere to customary law, which is a reflection of self-esteem that is relevant to the culture of the archipelago. This article aims to find out the practice of "customary fines' among the people of Lampung Pepadun in West Tulangbawang and describe the Islamic perspective on the practice of these customary fines. The researcher used the elicitation method with observing, note-taking, and interviewing techniques within the framework of legal anthropological theory with a phenomenological approach. In general, the practice of dau is in line with Islamic law. There is a stipulation of dau on the types of violations of customary law at mild, moderate, and serious levels, which have consequences of dau and social sanctions. In addition, there are types of violations of customary law in general that only result in punishment without social sanctions. The determination of dau is intended as social control to maintain order among the Pepadun indigenous people.

Madrasah service quality gap is a big challenge in Indonesia national development, especially in the comparative perspective of Java and non-Java regions. Continuous and systematic efforts have been examined to close the gap. Related to this, this study aims to look at the perceptions, comparisons, and dimensions that need to be improved in the quality of service at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) on Java and outside Java. This research uses a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory method. Each of the ten MAN on Java and outside Java is used as the object of research with a total of 3,319 samples, 1803 respondents from MAN on the island of Java and 1516 outside the island of Java. The results indicate that the perceived service quality at MAN is generally good, with an average rating of 5.64 in Java and 5.27 outside Java. The rating in Java is slightly higher than outside Java, with a statistically significant difference between the two sample groups, as shown by the t-value of 4.083 exceeding the t-table value of 1.990. Meanwhile, the dimensions of service quality that need to be improved by MAN on Java Island are assurance, while outside Java are assurance and tangible.

The harmony movement in Indonesia has been carried out by the nation's predecessors. The remains of ancient manuscripts in Maros, South Sulawesi, are historical evidence that religious moderation has been practiced. This article aims to examine the practice of religious moderation in the Lontaraq Manuscript of Kassi, Labuang, Pacelle. Through the philological method, this study found the following findings. First, these manuscripts express historical events in the past which have very strong nuances of religious moderation in them. Slavery and extortion were commonplace at that time, but there were breakthroughs or efforts made by Karaeng to abolish slavery and extortion at that time. The breakthrough is through humanity, justice, equality of social strata, and love between the people and the authorities. Equality without caste strata is in line with the justice proclaimed in Religious Moderation. Second, differences in ethnicity, language, and religion become social forces with a culture of mutual respect.

Intolerant attitudes and behaviors of students, as well as religious moderation education in schools, which is still carried out sporadically, result in segregation between religious communities. This systematic review aims to explore and formulate religious moderation education from various research results in various schools as a prototype. This study is based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. A systematic search was performed in the Google Scholar database. Initial search based on the title and keywords of religious moderation education in 2018–2022 found 1.001 publications. The determination of the selection resulted in 13 articles for further analysis in this study. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of religious moderation education in schools can be carried out through extracurriculars, special school programs and activities to instill religious moderation, and classroom learning.
