Women's roles and feminine identities have historically and traditionally been built around motherhood. However, in recent years there has been a growing trend of childfree (without children) educating people about not parenting as a legitimate life choice through qualitative methods with virtual ethnographic studies. Analyzing Twitter tweets using the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann through a gender perspective, this paper aims to review gender construction in childfree problems where this choice is still considered taboo in the public sphere. Being Childfree allows having a positive identity oneself as an autonomous, rational, and responsible decision-maker. At the same time, rejecting that choice allows someone who cannot choose child-free (for various reasons) to have a flawless identity regarding deviations from the norm of parenthood. Although childfree is still only known in Indonesia as a whole or a broader context, childfree has been practiced by several people in a private space. However, this choice is against the culture of society where the family is considered an essential component in the life cycle; many do not feel the need or do not dare to speak up. Not only non-natural differences, gender construction that places women's nature at the biological level is also problematic. The nature of women who have a uterus is required to function correctly so that child-free decisions are considered deviant and abnormal.

This study aims to look the effect of gender-role identity and gender-role attitudes on academic stress on the online learning system of students at universities in Banggai Regency. Respondents of this study amounted to 326 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regression to see the effect of the independent variables gender-role identity and gender-role attitudes on the dependent variable academic stress. The results of the study found that gender-role identity, the feminine category, had a significant effect on academic stress with a positive relationship direction, while gender-role attitudes had a significant effect on the direction of a negative relationship direction with academic stress. This means that the higher the feminine quality possessed by the individual, the higher the level of academic stress he has. As for attitudes toward gender roles, the more transcendent an individual's gender role attitude is, the lower the level of academic stress will be. On the other hand, the sexism of the gender role attitude of the individual, the higher the level of academic stres. The contribution of gender-role identity and gender-role attitudes simultaneously to academic stress is 6.9%.

In the educational process, the environment has a major influence in the formation of student behavior. The current education process in Indonesia seems to be still dominated by gender. In general, Indonesian people still hold the view that women are a second-class group and have a lower status than men. Whereas in the world of education, all humans, both men and women, are equally entitled to education. Education, which is a male and female field of study, is in fact more valued by men than women. This situation is caused by patriarchal views, especially the view that men have a higher position and qualification than women. Gender affects the motivation to choose an educational institution. This article discusses the differences between men and women in choosing an educational institution. Most men prefer the SMK (vocational high school) level and women choose SMA (general high school) because men think that after graduating, they will work with what they have acquired during the SMK. Meanwhile, on average, more women choose to continue their studies to college.

This article discusses the hermeneutical approach to gender in terms of comparisons from contemporary scholars. Islam is a religion that teaches justice or gender equality. However, the dominance of patriarchal ideology in the interpretation of the Qur'an results in a misogynistic interpretation that is not gender-just. Gender construction places the dominant male in the private sector, namely the family sphere, and the public sector, namely the community and work environment. Allah SWT judges His servants in terms of piety and faith, not from gender, ethnicity, nation, even descent. Contemporary scholars are trying so that the Qur'an can be understood its implied messages correctly and comprehensively, without taking sides with one group, class, more specifically on gender differences. The interpretation of Allah's messages from the Qur'an is sought to develop to be more gender-just. If the Qur'an is understood and interpreted textually only, it will result in a misogynistic interpretation of gender inequality that cannot solve the problems that develop. The implication is that the Qur'an is impressed as an outmoded product, a foreign product, perhaps even abandoned by its loyal followers. This view of gender as seen from hermeneutics has different perspectives but both uphold gender equality. The data sources used in this article are taken from various philosophical literature studies. The result is an equal position between women and men.

The inculcation of religious and moral values towards early childhood is important to do as an early provision. One of the basic attitudes that must be had to be a good person is to have a good religious and moral attitude in behavior. The purpose of inculcation religious and moral values of children is to form the nature, good behavior from an early age because children are the next generation. The research method used is the study of literature using journals and related books. Inculcation that can be taught to children can use various learning methods such as storytelling, habituation and so forth. Violence, behavior and actions that deviate from religion and morals are still a lot going on, this is one of them due to the lack of inculcating religion and morals. Facts show to this day, women still become one of the men's dominant objects. The patriarchal culture that marginalizes women has finally become one of the significant human tasks, both in the domestic and public scopes. Through the author's reading of Simone de Beauvoir's theory of post-feminism, this article tries to provide a description of the results of the field research at Pesantren and Muballighah Women Community (JP3M) Pekalongan Branch. In short, Beauvoir gives women the freedom to survive with the power and domination of men or free themselves from the shackles of patriarchy. According to the author's simple research results, several findings were found that JP3M seeks to increase the role of women in various fields of life, such as education and religion (intellectual), economic independence through micro-enterprises and provision of life skills, social transformation of the society by carrying out social activities, and wanting to break away as others through empowering women who are strong and with character.

The patriarchal culture that marginalizes women has finally become one of the significant human tasks, both in the domestic and public scopes. Through the author's reading of Simone de Beauvoir's theory of post-feminism, this article tries to provide a description of the results of the field research at Pesantren and Muballighah Women Community (JP3M) Pekalongan Branch. In short, Beauvoir gives women the freedom to survive with the power and domination of men or free themselves from the shackles of patriarchy. According to the author's simple research results, several findings were found that JP3M seeks to increase the role of women in various fields of life, such as education and religion (intellectual), economic independence through micro-enterprises and provision of life skills, social transformation of the society by carrying out social activities, and wanting to break away as others through empowering women who are strong and with character.","PeriodicalId":33408,"journal":{"name":"Yinyang Jurnal Studi Islam Gender dan Anak","volume":"130 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81826742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the point of view of economic needs, many women today prefer to be career women as well as housewives. It has become an entrenched demand, and even more so during the Covid-19 pandemic, women are required to be multitalented. Meanwhile, in some families, patriarchal culture is still an obstacle to the limited movement of women. This study uses a qualitative analysis with ethnographic methods and an empirical sociological approach that uses the sociological theory of Patirim Sorokin, which focuses on three things, namely ideational culture, sensory culture, and mixed culture. This study concludes that the ideational culture or world view of patriarchal culture has been rooted in the archipelago since ancient times, where the main role of women is at home while men are more likely to work to provide for the family. However, in sensory culture, there are many couples who help each other or create gender equality for the realization of a harmonious and dynamic family. Mixed culture exists in many husbands and wives who both work and cannot share the time, energy and thoughts to pay attention to their children.
