The article discusses the main technologies of the 4th industrial revolution: the Internet of things, robotics, 3D printing, big data, etc. These technologies play an important and growing role in modern professional activity. In the context of technologies of the 4-industrial revolution, a key role is given to information and cognitive technologies as a necessary condition for the development and use of "smart technologies". The general educational aspects of these technologies must necessarily be included in the content of general educational subjects. The main subjects in this case are the subjects of computer science and technology.

The creation of a digital educational environment at universities, the transition to blended learning have revealed a problem associated with the discrepancy between traditional textbooks, automatically translated into electronic format, the needs of modern students, the peculiarities of their perception. The article proposes forms of educational content that use the possibilities of the digital environment available to students and activate their cognitive activity. Among the distinguishing features of modern students are focus on success, the desire to use knowledge “here and now”, multitasking, but at the same time, superficial attention, unwillingness to study long texts. As new interactive digital resources, the authors consider structural logic diagrams, interactive electronic textbooks, and training tests. The article describes the experience of creating such resources in the process of teaching mathematics to first-year bachelor students of the Financial University.

The article substantiates the categories of “knowledge”, “information”, “resource”, “potential” in order to eliminate the lack of understanding of the difference in the content of these constructs among teachers, identified in the course of advanced training. Fragments of training sessions and tasks are presented, which in analytical and research activities form an understanding of the content of the key categories “information and knowledge resource” and “potential” for the development of education.

The article summarizes the results of the 2020–2022 independent assessment of the quality of the conditions for the provision of services in relation to educational organizations that carry out educational activities on educational programs of higher education and additional professional programs. The dynamics of the number of participants in the independent assessment procedure and their distribution among the main administrators of federal budget funds are presented. The results of the analysis of the final quality assessment for all organizations, as well as in the context of individual criteria and indicators are given. The authors noted the rather high quality of the conditions for the implementation of educational activities provided by the participating organizations of the procedure and a clear improvement in the quality of these conditions in the period from 2020 to 2022, and also made a conclusion about the effectiveness of the IQC procedure, about its stimulating, and not just controlling effect.

The article presents the results of a monitoring conducted among teachers of different age groups on the subject of attitudes towards soft skills. 960 respondents from 28 regions took part in the monitoring. The age of the respondents ranged from 20 to 75 years old, with an average age of 45 years. The average work experience at school is 22 years. The monitoring questions were designed to identify which skills teachers classify as soft skills, how they assess their own degree of soft skills, and which of them are considered primarily necessary for the successful implementation of professional activities.

The need of modern education for a systematic analysis and comprehensive assessment of the professional activities carried out by teachers actualizes the problem of finding and substantiating methods and means of pedagogical expertise. A purposeful historical and genetic study of the processes of formation and development of the phenomenon of pedagogical expertise in Russian education allowed us to determine its socio-historical prerequisites, identify key priorities, as well as identify and comprehend the main features and specific features of the examination of the work of Russian teachers during the XX – first quarter of the XXI century. The genesis of the functional purpose of the examination of pedagogical work is revealed, the priority of the humanitarian function of expert evaluation is justified, the experience of modern study and use of pedagogical expertise in the domestic system of education and upbringing is summarized. The trends of further study and application of expertise in the conditions of Russian education are outlined.
