IMPROVING THE LANGUAGE SKILLS OF PUPILS IN KINDERGARTEN – AN EXAMPLE OF GOOD PRACTICE 提高幼儿园学生的语言技能&良好实践的一个例子

The author presents an example of good practice in the direction of systematic development of children's language skills in kindergarten. Language skills, and especially phonemic awareness, are the so-called strong predictors of possible problems, resp. written language disorders in the future. By deliberately developing them, it is possible to eliminate these problems, or reduce the risk of speech disorders. However, it is necessary to use appropriate methods, such as e.g. metacognitive strategies. One of them is the Phonemic Awareness Training according to D. B. Elkonin, which was also used in the presented research. Using this method, the language skills of a group of 21 preschool children in kindergarten were significantly improved. The results show a significant improvement in children's language skills.

The aim of the paper is to analyse the possibilities of using a unique historical source from the 18 th century called Notitia Hungariae Novae Historicogeographica from Matthias Bel in undergraduate education of history and history in combination (teacher training). Two methodological approaches to the material are parallelly being examined. The first one represents general didactics of the higher education and the second one shows specific methods used in historical research. Both approaches are combined and in order to characterise the undergraduate education of history and its goals. Moreover, several examples of students' works based on interpretation of Bel's Vědomosti are shown.

The paper deals with a theoretical analysis of pupils’ preconceptions, their formation, modification and importance in educational process. The purpose of the paper is to explain the importance of diagnostics of pupils’ preconceptions in education, which constitute the basis for meaningful learning. Preconceptions play a crucial role in constructivist education. They are formed not only in the beginning, but throughout the whole educational process. In order to teach a pupil a new term in a way he/she will understand it, we need to start from the point he/she knows from own experience and which he/she has already come across.

SELF-ASSESSMENT OF MOTIVATION FOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES LEARNING: RESULTS OF A PILOT STUDY AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 信息和通信技术学习动机的自我评估:一项针对中学生的试点研究结果

Self-assessment is often used in research, school, and employment. Respondents mark on a scale for example how good their skills and knowledge are or how they feel in a particular situation. One of the fields in which self-assessment can be applied is motivation. The aim of this contribution is (a) to find out the students´ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to learn information and communication technologies (according to the type of attended school and gender), (b) to find out how these groups of students (according to the type of attended school and gender) use the scale when evaluating their motivation to learn ICT. The sample consists of students at four types of secondary schools (a humanities-oriented school offering a study programme Pedagogical Lyceum, a grammar school, a technical non-ICT school focused on mechanization, a technical school offering a study programme focused on ICT, N=166). The results show significant differences in ICT learning motivation amongst these groups of students. Our results indicate that students studying a study programme focused on ICT have a significantly higher level of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. When compared according to gender, boys show a higher level of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Individual respondents seem to use the scale in a significantly different way when assessing the motivation to learn ICT. However, within the groups we studied (gender, type of school), only slight differences in the use of the scale were found (students from ICT schools tend to use rather lower scale categories, they are stricter). In future research, it is necessary to analyze differences in scale usage among other groups (e.g. according to socio-economic status or peer groups). Furthermore, due to the high heterogeneity in the scale usage, we recommend applying the anchoring vignette method to increase the validity of the measurement.

86 Abstract Currently, more and more people are starting to talk about morals, about moral ideas. Morals become a powerful emotional motive in the public consciousness, significant for various social groups. Only on the basis of moral ideas as an integral element of a person’s worldview and his attitude to people, other nations and peoples, his uplifting feelings, national shrines, love for the Motherland, language is strengthened, a sense of responsibility for its power and independence, preservation of material and spiritual values appears, develops the nobility, and dignity of the individual. The relevance of this study is determined by the current situation in our country, transformations in social, political, economic life, and a reassessment of values in the minds of people.

The study focuses on information sheets of courses included in the pedagogical-psychological and social science study core (hereinafter common study core), dealing with the issue of inclusive education and preparation for working with pupils with special educational needs. The analysis of information sheets of teaching courses at individual faculties in Slovakia, which provide teacher training in the area of public higher education, was carried out via using the content analysis method. We found out that the common core consists of 366 courses, while the issue of inclusive education and pupils with special educational needs is addressed in 38 courses. The majority of these courses is offered at the master level of university study. Their preferred teaching method is a lecture. The issue of inclusive education is dealt with in compulsory optional subjects. In terms of content and scope dedicated to this issue, we divided the courses into two groups: courses which are fully dedicated to it and courses that deal with it only partially.

This research is devoted to the study of the psychological content of pedagogical tolerance as an essential professional quality of a teacher. The relevance of this problem is determined by both the practical and theoretical nature. A necessary condition for successful pedagogical activity is dealing with the child in this way. A tolerant teacher, thanks to the special tactics in his behavior with children, achieves greater effectiveness. In modern school, the role of the personality of the teacher is significantly increasing. All this, in our opinion, makes it necessary to analyze the problem of pedagogical tolerance as a professionally outstanding quality of a teacher. If it is valid that under certain circumstances the pupil is more effectively acquiring information in interaction with other people (pupils, peers, or adults), it is necessary to look for adequate ways to encourage that type of learning. At the heart of the article is a comprehensive presentation of the community of inquiry, which is belonging to the field of reflective education, in which the learner learns through the processes of thinking - his own and collective. The Philosophy for Children will be the inspiration for transforming the school class into a community of inquiry, because this program has been successfully implemented in the form of community of inquiry for several decades in several countries around the world.

Within this project we are concentrating on Daniel Lichard and Sturovci and their aim to stabilisation Slovakian literary language in education for High schools. In the first chapter we focus on the biographic data of Daniel Lichard. We briefly outline his family background and studies, which influenced him also in his further working and Lichard’s journalistic activity. The second chapter is concerned with the Impact Lichard´s work in education for Students.

The image of the family has changed rapidly in recent years. The traditional nuclear family exists concurrently with various other types of families. The term “family diversity” is used to refer to this phenomenon in the literature. The family environment is an important determinant that affects not only the pupil in his / her school environment, but also participates in the creation of the overall school climate. The success of the child / pupil is also determined by the level of family involvement in the pupil ́s learning since birth. The paper points out the importance of learning the family environment by teachers (or other professionals) and the importance of their mutual communication. The content is processed mainly for analysis of foreign sources.
