Статья посвящена повести А. П. Чехова «Степь» и хайку. Рассматривается поэтика японской литературы, особенности культуры и поэтика русского классика. Большое внимание уделено японской мифологии и символике повести. Анализируется мифологема дерева, в частности вишни, в контексте языка повести и мировой мифологической традиции. Поднимается вопрос о фольклорной традиции в художественном мире писателя. Фольклоризм творчества Чехова носит внутренний характер, выражается через композицию повести, которую ученые сравнили с лирической песней. В статье использован историко-литературный, типологический метод и опыт фольклористического комментирования текста.

The article takes us to a time when the adjectives “Russkiy” and “Rossiyskiy” (both are translated as “Russian”) were almost identical, and “Russkiy” was used much more often than “Rossiyskiy”. The author draws attention to the fact that on the pages of the nationalist and liberal Russian press different methods were used to construct the image of the enemy, and there were persistent contradictions existing between the editions.

В статье с позиций семиотики рассматриваются существительные, реферирующие мир растений (деревьев, цветов и фруктов) и проявляющие в творчестве Г. Гарсии Маркеса свой богатый ассоциативный потенциал. Особое внимание уделяется специфике ассоциаций, способствующих созданию уникальных образов магического реализма. Ассоциации, провоцируемые названиями тропических растений, обусловлены спецификой этнокультурного мировидения языкового коллектива. В эстетическом пространстве романов Гарсии Маркеса растения становятся идентификаторами героев, их чувстви событий, определяющих их судьбу.

The article is devoted to the problem of phenomenological narration. The subject of the study are the concepts of "phenomenological novel", "phenomenological prose", "phenomenological narrative". The authors of the work substantiate the presence of phenomenological tendencies in G. Gazdanov's prose. Particular attention is paid to studying the genre of "novel about the artist" in G. Gazdanov's prose on the example of the novel "Evelina and her friends".

Communication-and-activity approach stipulated new tasks in teaching “Russian Language and Literature” subject at school with non-Russian language of study. Practical task prevailed, i.e., the formation of skills of the effective communication, teaching speech activity. At such an approach, the rhetorical competence as the factor of effective communication and the formation of the ability to reproduce productive speech actions requires studying. The tasks of the Kazakhstani textbook for the 6th grade of the general education school became the materials for description. It is shown how understanding, interpretation, analysis, evaluation of a literary text contribute to the development of critical thinking and the formation of creative approach. The techniques of developing the skills of illocutionary impact on the listener in students are analyzed which is justified by the advantages of neo-rhetorical (discourse) approach. Thus, the methods of applying rhetorical argumentation, rhetorical canon, the techniques of building an oratorical statement for the effective communication are established; the interaction of creative and receptive competences while working with the rhetorical model of the artwork is shown. The techniques of forming the rhetorical competence as a method of upbringing the self-determination of a person are described in order to apply the knowledge in social reality.

This article discusses intercultural differences in academic discourse, methods of indirect communication, and the phenomenon of hedging. The article deals with theoretical and practical preparation of postgraduate students to the effective intercultural communication in academic area and to the formation of communicative competence in oral scientific speech in receptive and productive aspects. The course includes three main sections. The first section is introductory; it aims to obtaining of necessary knowledge about communication models and the mechanisms of its formation. In the second section the special attention is paid to development of public performance skills on basis of studying of institutional discourse structure and argumentation rules. In the third section intercultural differences, hedging and the genres of oral scientific communication are considered.

The relevance of Russian language studies as a scientific trend is evidenced by the media that cover the problems of Russian culture, language and literature. This article provides an overview of journals published in Russia and abroad. A brief excursus into the history of Russian language studies is made; its present state is presented on the basis of an analysis of periodic publications. Attention is focused on the international problems: the publication of articles in English. The changes occurring in Russian journals in the light of current trends are characterized. We point out that the main goals and tasks of the journals, as well as other activities (antiplagiat, references, etc.) are aimed at Russian language propaganda via mass media. We present the detailed analysis of the journal "Russian Language Studies" (the former name "Bulletin of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia”. Series “Russian and foreign languages and methods of teaching”) in the light of actual problems of modern journals. The conclusions states the problem of the fulfillment of journals' mission: the preservation and promotion of the Russian language in a multipolar world.

En el artículo, partiendo del principio de la universalidad y la especificidad cultural, se examina el contenido cognitivo del concepto de duende –uno de los más simbólicos en la cultura española– para proyectar su interpretación, propuesta por Lorca, en el espacio cultural ruso, teniendo como punto de apoyo el legado literario que ha dejado Pushkin a la cultura rusa. Como métodos de investigación se aplican los análisis intercultural, cognitivo y comparativo, lo que permite descubrir paralelismos en el contenido cognitivo del concepto de duende y revelar las manifestaciones nacionales que tiene en España y en Rusia.

They reflect significant cognitive signs of the emotional concept associated with the expression of movement, intensity, etc. Other microfields have either not received a proper derivational development or they were formed much later. In general, we can talk about a significant reduction in one-root derivatives representing the ‘fear’. There is a variety of reasons for it: transformation in the words’ semantics, isolation of a new family of words from the verb ‘insure’ [strakhovat’], etc.
