The article aims to analyse digital tools for managing the tourism enterprises' innovative activities based on the Ukrainian experience of overcoming the risks of martial law. The novelty of the research consists in determining the possibilities of digital management in war conditions, which is an extremely important experience for European countries that never faced such a crisis. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the integration of digital tools in Ukraine's tourism industry, statistical data obtained from over 200 enterprises were analysed. This data leveraging enabled the identification of the key management practices that were implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently adapted to the martial law restrictions. An interdisciplinary methodological toolkit was used in order to conduct the research: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, and comparison. The results demonstrated modern digital tools for managing tourist activities based on consideration of the world and Ukrainian contexts. Special emphasis was also placed on the development of leadership as a phenomenon capable of improving the perception of innovations and appropriate management decisions against the general implementation of modern management methods. The conclusions showed the capabilities of information systems, multimedia databases, and customer relationship management software. It is also important to emphasise the role of digital tools in the tourism industry of Ukraine and their use as a response to the military challenge. Consequently, the importance of targeted advertising and the widespread use of mobile devices is evident. In martial law conditions, they are an important

This study aims to determine the impact of the Coaching Leadership style (CL) on Project Success (PS) by applying the concept from the Resource Based View - (RBV) and Social Identity Theory - (SIT). This study further ascertains the mediating role of team building and goal clarity in the relationship between CL and PS. The data were collected from 302 project management professionals working in the Construction industry of Pakistan. The study applied partial least squares structural equation modeling to validate the direct and mediating effect. The results indicated that CL has a positive and significant impact on project success. Moreover, the results further validated that team building and goal clarity mediates the relationship between coaching leadership and project success. There is a dearth of empirical investigation on the relationship between CL and PS in developing republics context. This study makes a significant contribution to the field of Construction industry project management by demonstrating that CL impacts PS while team building and goal clarity mediate this relationship. This is one of the earliest studies that explores the inter-relationship among CL, PS, and team outcome.

Team management in the context of digitalisation and related challenges requires new solutions. The aim of the paper was to analyse leadership's role in addressing sustainability and digitalization challenges in enterprise management. The research design consisted of mixed methods, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. This, in turn, provided a comprehensive understanding of the challenges, strategies, and leadership roles associated with sustainability and digitalisation in business management. To achieve the aim of the study, empirical research methods were used - a survey based on a pre-designed questionnaire. The problems of the impact of management decisions on the economic sustainability of enterprises and the peculiarities of the impact of digitalisation on modern management activities were highlighted in the paper. It was proved that leadership had a significant impact on creating a motivating and favourable working atmosphere, which helped increasing the productivity and reduce the staff turnover. The right management decisions become a decisive factor for the formation of overall stability in the working team. It was emphasised that the obtained data indicated that the majority of respondents considered the implementation of sustainability and digitalisation as key elements of modern management. Leadership, in turn, was of great importance in this process, especially in supporting and overcoming the main challenges on the way to enterprise digitalisation. These challenges, such as insufficient resources and technological limitations, require attention in order to ensure the successful implementation of management strategies through the prism of digitalisation. Implications: The practical significance of the obtained results was to build a model of management decision-making, the key principle of which is the emphasis on leadership and the formation of an atmosphere of trust in the team. The conclusions emphasised the relevance of further integration of digital technologies into the sphere of management and decision-making.

The purpose of this study was to examine the competitive performance of the Ethiopian flower industry in the world market from the pre-to post COVID-19 pandemic era in comparison with the Netherlands, Colombia, Ecuador, Kenya, Italy, China, Malaysia, Israel, and Canada. The study collected secondary data from the International Trade Centre (ITC) database for the years between 2003 and 2022. The data collected was analyzed by NRCA (Normalized Revealed Comparative Advantage) and RTA (Relative Trade Advantage) indexes as a measure of competitive performance as well as using both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis tools: mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, Pearson’s correlation test, and paired sample t -test. The findings show that Ethiopia, as well as the Netherlands, Colombia, Ecuador, and Kenya, have a strong competitive advantage in the flower industry in the pre-to post COVID-19 pandemic era (2003-2022), with relatively consistent competitive performance trend in the world market; while other countries with fluctuating competitive advantage and self-balancing (Israel, Malaysia, and China) and also countries such as Italy and Canada have a competitive disadvantage in flower in the world market. Ethiopia’s flower competitive advantage has achieved a steady improvement in the post COVID-19 pandemic era while other countries are facing inconsistent and huge decline, particularly, Colombia, as the finding revealed. Also, paired sample t-test result shows that statistically significant difference was found between Ethiopia’s competitive advantage and those of the top competin g countries with a p-value ˂ .05. The finding also indicated that with average values of the relative import advantage (RMA = .48) and relative trade advantage (RTA = 128.80) indexes, Ethiopia is a net exporter of flowers. Therefore, the findings of this study give managers robust evidence of how their flower industry’s competitive performance changes over time and the rank of their respective country. Communication management is critical in promoting products and services in an environment of volatility. It involves creating effective communication strategies to reach the target audience and provide them with the information they need to make informed purchasing decisions. The research aims to study communication management strategies and identify the most effective ones to ensure the full-fledged operation of an organization in negative conditions of its activity. The research methodology comprises general scientific (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction) and special (abstraction, concretization, comparison) methods. The results analyze and systematize potential risks for companies in the process of promoting goods and services under conditions of uncertainty and also offer practical recommendations for minimizing risks. It was revealed that the main practical directions in managing communications in conditions of instability are the creation and/or strengthening of a strong company brand, the use of digital marketing, as well as crisis communication strategies. It is noted that, in general, the promotion of goods and services in conditions of instability is a complex and responsible task that requires a comprehensive and evidence-based approach. Relying on scientific reflection and a comprehensive study of the causes of instability, as well as effective communication and interaction strategies, it is possible not only to promote goods and services in an environment of instability but also to shape a more stable and sustainable future for the company.

Underpinning the premises of the Ability, Motivation, Opportunity (AMO) paradigm, this study examines the effects of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) on Organizational Performance (OP). Although several studies have investigated the relationship between SHRM and OP, how SHRM would significantly enhance OP still needs to be clarified. This study split the HR practices of Indian oil and Gas companies into three components, i.e., ability improving, motivation improving, and opportunity improving practices, to investigate the effects on organizational performance in large public-sector Indian oil companies. Drawing from the arguments and assumptions of the Social Exchange theory, this study uses a mixed research design. It employs semi-structured interviews (N = 30) and a self-developed scale to collect data from the oil and Gas sector executives. The study used a stratified random sampling technique to collect primary data using a 5-point Likert questionnaire from 234 executives from 10 Indian Oil and Gas companies. For data analysis and hypothesis testing, the study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results indicate that the three components had different effects on the performance. The findings show that ability-enhancing HR practices are significantly associated with firm performance, whereas HR practices that enhance ‘motivation’ and ‘opportunity’ are not significantly related to performance. The study makes a significant contribution by developing a scale in the context of the public sector for measuring SHRM based on the AMO framework. The study concludes that the relationship between SHRM and performance could be better understood by breaking down HR practices and creating configurations or bundles.

Despite increasing studies on the importance of servant leadership as a fundamental contextual factor determining the implementation of TQM practices, recent studies have not thoroughly investigated the mechanisms that link servant leadership to implementing customer focus, people management, process management, strategic planning, information, and analysis. Hence, the main purpose of this study is to explore the role of servant leadership in the implementation of the five TQM practices and showcase whether inter-functional coordination mediates the link between servant leadership and these TQM practices. We surveyed 203 leaders in 104 firms located in Finfinne/Addis Ababa and surrounding cities to investigate the mediating roles of inter-functional coordination in the relationship between servant leadership and the implementation of customer focus, people management, process management, strategic planning, information, and analysis. To achieve this aim, we tested a structural model through an empirical investigation with SEM and bootstrapping methods. The results indicated that servant leadership was directly and positively related to implementing TQM practices. Furthermore, results showed that inter-functional coordination positively and partially mediated the relationship between servant leadership and the five TQM practices. These findings add to the literature by illuminating why servant leadership is positively associated with TQM practices.
