The definitive radiation (RT) doses for patients with head and neck cancers (HNC) are standardized and guided primarily by TNM status. We hypothesized that baseline indicators of immune response, such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) correlate with RT response. Our study aimed to examine the relationship between primary tumor volume (GTV-P) and NLR/PLR values in nonmetastatic, p16-negative, oral cavity (OC), pharyngeal (PX), and laryngeal (LC) cancers.

"MicroRNA Profiling of Plasma Exosomes in Type 2 Diabetes Following Exercises" 2型糖尿病运动后血浆外泌体的MicroRNA谱分析

A total of 12 male participants, including 7 patients and 5 healthy individuals, were recruited. T2D patients underwent a randomized three-period crossover 1-hour postprandial intervention: high-intensity interval exercise (T2D-HIIE), moderate-intensity continuous exercise (T2D-MICE) with cycling and sedentary control (T2D-CON) for 30 min, while healthy participants served as controls (HP-CON) without exercise intervention. Exosomes were extracted from plasma using differential ultracentrifugation at 1.5 hours postprandial, which equates to immediate post-exercise for T2D patients. Exosomal miRNA sequencing was conducted. KEGG analysis was performed to identify pathways linked with altered expression of miRNAs.

India, one of the most populated, developing countries in the world was surprising the rest of the globe in containing and fighting the fatal millennium’s social distress- the Covid 19. It has inflicted huge stress on healthcare systems which is both capital and labour intensive. Density of population of the country has increased the challenges manifold. The panicky migrant workers and the related issues on return have put the state administration really at a fiasco.

LInfections due to opportunistic organisms are an important cause of morbidity and mortality in kidney transplant recipients. The risk of infections depends on various factors such as the time after transplantation, the degree of immunosuppression and exposure to infectious pathogens. Opportunistic infections due to tuberculosis and concomitant aspergillosis are rare presentations [1,2].

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) and cancer are strongly associated, as the local or systemic activation of blood coagulation can be produced by tumor products and favours tumor spread. The occurrence of thrombosis is often the first indicator of an underlying malignancy and patient data also demonstrates a close association between tumour progression and the development of a procoagulant profile, supporting the hypothesis that the activation of the blood coagulation system contributes to tumour aggressiveness and vice versa [1].

Hydrographic studies of nearshore seawaters are important because they are sensitive to both natural and human influences.
