Based on the annual data of degree-granting information accumulated by degree-granting institutions, this paper analyzes the storage structure of the database, excavates the critical information in the degree-granting information data structure, and puts forward a multi-dimensional graduate source analysis method, such as first-choice admission rate, the admission rate of recommended students, pre-graduation institution type, residential registration origin and types of colleges and universities transferring students. The limitation of using a single index of first choice admission rate to evaluate the quality of student source is improved.

The main objective of the present study was to assess the status and determining factors to develop student self-regulated behavior in learning among fourth generation universities in Ethiopia. To achieve this objective, both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from primary and secondary source of data. The study employed random and purposive sampling techniques to select 270 instructors, 4 department heads and 6 well-experienced teachers. Data from the quantitative survey were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test, analysis of variance and multiple regressions. Qualitative data was analyzed through thematic narration. The study found that the mean score of teacher’s practice of self-regulated behavior in learning was 2.72 and standard deviation 4.379. The independent samples t-test and One-way ANOVA indicated that, there was statistically significant mean difference in gender and educational statues of teachers’ in practice of self-regulated strategies. Women and teachers who had higher educational status performed better than other instructors. Multiple regression analysis indicated teachers’ negative attitude toward their profession and lack of commitment was significant factor for low development of self-regulated behavior in learning in fourth generation Universities in Ethiopia. However, pedagogical knowledge, teaching experience, age and educational was non- significant at P<0.05 level of significance.

This paper investigates the cultivation of craftsmanship spirit among higher vocational college students and the optimization and application of the integration of industry and education models, with the aim of promoting the development of craftsmanship spirit among students and advancing the integration of industry and education. Firstly, by analyzing the current status of cultivating craftsmanship spirit in higher vocational colleges, the necessity and importance of its development are explored. Secondly, considering the specific conditions in the Sichuan-ASEAN region, the feasibility and key factors of fostering craftsmanship spirit are discussed. Subsequently, this paper presents methods for optimizing industry-education integration and collaboration between colleges and enterprises based on craftsmanship spirit, aiming to facilitate deeper cooperation between higher vocational colleges and the industry. Finally, through case studies and empirical research, the practical effectiveness of the proposed model is validated, providing strong theoretical and practical support for educational and teaching reforms in higher vocational colleges.

“Introduction to English Linguistics (IEL)” is a professional knowledge course for postgraduates majoring in Foreign Linguistics. In traditional classrooms, teachers usually use knowledge code in their discourse, emphasizing the inculcation of theoretical knowledge in Foreign Linguistics. However, faced with large numbers of concepts, terminology, and academic opinions, students generate lots of confusion. This study quantitatively analyzes the teaching situation of IEL course under the framework of Legitimation Code Theory, and explores the influence of different teachers’ classroom discourse patterns on students’ learning efficiency. It is found that the use of knower code in teachers’ classroom discourse is an important factor in students’ learning efficiency while not being affirmatively proved to be effective in a pronounced manner, suggesting that a more advanced model of teachers’ classroom discourse pattern combining both knowledge code and knower code for postgraduates majoring in Foreign Linguistics is urgently needed.
