This study aims to develop an operational Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) telephone system to be used as a laboratory tool for students in the Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Technology (BSECT) program at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP). The PABX trainer is expected to enhance students' occupational preparation for potential employment in the telecommunications and networking industries. Through the operational platform, students' cognitive, manipulative, and programming skills related to PABX can be assessed. A telecommunications course is a core component of the BSECT curriculum, familiarizing students with corporate communications platforms like PABX. The presence of physical PABX equipment is crucial for quality instruction aligned with the Commission on Higher Education's (CHED) standards and the university's accreditation requirements. While PABX has been widely used in industry, incorporating its technology into the BSECT curriculum remains necessary. This study aims to innovate pedagogical tools that establish students' PABX-related skill sets and potentially lead to further investigations and system integrations with other ICT technologies. The study yielded positive affirmation of the content, technical, and instructional qualities, and its overall acceptability relative to the learning tool. There are also significant improvements in the student’s cognitive skills, manipulative skills, and programming skills set out of using the PABX learning tool in laboratory activities.

The corporate landscape of Nestle is examined in this investigation, with a particular emphasis on the company's dedication to CSR and environmental preservation. This paper presents Nestle Waters' approach to ethical encounters in extraction of water, focusing on native rights, expired licenses, and security of water. It argues that open communication, compliance oaths and assurance, and community alliance are systematic solutions to these problems. The investigation now turns its attention to Nespresso and the premium coffee industry's waste management and aluminum consumption issues. Nespresso may benefit from a more methodical approach if the company would only establish some definite long-term objectives, encourage more partnerships, educate its customers better, and put more money into environmentally friendly packaging. These initiatives not only address pressing issues, but also help Nestle achieve its long-term sustainability objectives, which will set it apart as an industry leader in ethical business practices.

This qualitative research employing discourse analysis aimed to identify the types of figurative language and their functions in the poetry compositions of Grade 10 World Literature students from three schools in Compostela West district, Division of Davao de Oro. The students created a poem consisting of five stanzas, each stanza consisting of five lines with the same theme about love. The study used the theory of Classification of Figurative Language of Tarigan (1985) and the theory of the Functions of Figurative Language of Perrine (1969). The researcher identified the types of figurative language and their functions after transcribing and thoroughly reading the poem. The data gathered revealed that out of the 17 types of figurative language, only nine were used. The students used figurative language to enhance their output creatively and make it more interesting. Each type of figurative language had different functions and meanings that touched the reader's emotions, created a connection with the reader, and conveyed ideas purposefully. It was also noted that many types of figurative language were not used. Hence, teachers must identify the strengths and weaknesses of the students to help them improve their writing and communication skills. This would enable the students to effectively express their thoughts and ideas through writing and speaking. The findings of this study are significant to the students, English teachers, and school administrators as figurative language can be used as a helpful tool in communicating emotions and ideas.
