Background: The broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio are a reflection of the Pandalungan community, so the language used is unique and interesting to study. Purpose: This research aims to describe the types, forms, and functions of code mixing in the conversations between broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio. Design and methods: This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using the observation method with tapping, free observation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis stage used the translational and referential equivalence method with descriptive, identification, and classification techniques. Results: The results of this study found two types of code mixing, namely internal code mixing from Javanese, Madurese, and Osing languages, and external code mixing from Arabic and English languages. The forms of code mixing found were insertion of words (152 data), phrases (42 data), repetition of words (1 data), clauses (24 data), and blasters (5 data). The functions of code mixing found were to build a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, show the ethnic identity of the speaker, show respect to the interlocutor, create humor, and show prestige. The result of this research is expected to provide awareness that code mixing in bilingual or multilingual communities serves to eliminate differences between societal groups and build interpersonal relationships among them.

Purpose: The study was implemented in a cardiothoracic Centre that provides free-of-charge care for patients with heart diseases. Design and methods: In this pursuit, a mixed-method approach was employed as two data collection instruments were constructed and utilized following the review of literature and based on the patient international safety goals recommended by the Joint Commission International (JCI). The first instrument is a 39-item questionnaire and the second is a semi-structured interview. The number of nurses participated in the study was (n=94); 86 nurses participated in the questionnaire whereas eight expert nurses were recruited for the semi-structured interview. Results: The results revealed that the English language is an essential element in the process of ensuring patient safety for Egyptian nurses and its effect is revealed through the international safety goals. Background: Beginning reading is one of the most basic skills for students and as a tool to find out the meaning that has been learned in learning at school, beginning reading is one of the activity programs specifically designed for students who have just entered elementary school. The silaba method is a syllable method that presents words into syllables and then assembles syllables into words with the aim that students who are unable to read words can read words. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether the silaba method can improve the beginning reading activities of grade 1 students at SDN Banjarsari 01. Design and methods: This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, which is a qualitative descriptive method. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at Banjarsari 01 Elementary School, Banjarsari Village, Ciawi District, Bogor Regency. The instrument used in this study was an interview guide instrument. The technique used in this study was a data collection technique, which in this study used data collection in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, the data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive data analysis technique in conducting data analysis with a model according to Milles and Huberman. Results: The results of this study indicate that the silaba method is a suitable method to be applied in beginning reading activities because it greatly facilitates students in reading skills for grade 1 students at SDN Banjarsari 01”.
