A novel method of image segmentation based on microarray camera $(3times 3)$ and modified YCrCb color space is proposed in this paper, we use the microarray camera to obtain array images in the same scene and use array images to achieve image segmentation. Microarray camera can take wider field of vision and contain more image details than traditional cameras. Using the SSD network to detect the object in the array images and using modified YCrCb color space to improve the accuracy under the high light intensity. The microarray lens in this paper is expected to be applied to mobile phones and tablet devices. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the error rate and the edge extraction is more complete and smoother compared with SSD network.

Music is composed of many notes; machine is also composed of many parts, according to a certain combination regulations. Nobel Prize laureate Tsung-Dao Lee said: Science and art are inseparable, just like both sides of a coin. This illustrates the commonality of music and science. On the other hand, music, in fact, is the sound of material. This study uses creative thinking teaching technique, and John Dewey' theory “Learning by Doing”, focus on instructional design, students experience and combined with art, science and musical instruments, creating an innovative teaching model. The research results developed a series of instrumental and mechanical design, students will enable to consciously notice the interaction between mechanical components and music. And then learning music theory naturally. Because of the innovative teaching model, students and teacher are getting new inspiration and benefit.

Carbon nanotube (CNT) has shown its huge significance in many applications. It was also applied to the patch antenna to evaluate the performance of the CNTs as a radio frequency radiator, This paper first presented a comparison between a conventional copper patch antenna and an epoxy-CNT composite antenna with the same dimension. Then the striped epoxy-CNT antenna was proposed to investigate the radiation pattern selective performance. The results showed that the epoxy-CNT composite layer added on the patch antenna shifted the resonant frequency with 150 MHz. The orientation of the CNT strip was found to have a unique polarization sensitivity behavior effects on the radiation pattern of the patch antenna. Optimal radio performance was observed when the strips were located in parallel with the E-plane of the patch antenna. When the CNT was located orthogonally to the E-plane of the patch antenna, a reduction of total gain of 8dB was observed in the boresight. This finding will be studied further, and it may have potential applications to the polarization-selective radio frequency system, such as the GNSS-R system.

RFID technology is a kind of wireless communication technology, which can detect and track tags automatically. Comparing with other traditional automatic identification technology, its function has more advantages, so the technology is very popular in recent years. The early access control system is only implemented by ordinary keys in combination with traditional locks, which is not only complicated, but also has certain security risks and does not have the function of attendance. This paper designs and realizes a set of intelligent access control attendance system, which is controlled by the Arduino Uno, Managed by mobile, using password lock, electromagnetic lock, Bluetooth (BT) Module, RFID Reader, Tag, LCD and other components. In this study, the combination of access control and RFID technology has the advantages of high security and convenient operation, which can be used in different fields and satisfy different users’ needs.

A few practice teaching innovations including competitions, simulation, and sharing & learning platform were proposed and employed in chemical engineering. Meanwhile, the academic competitions such as chemical engineering design & Chem-E-Car competitions can enhance the comprehensive application ability of undergraduates. The simulation technology can provide 3D virtual environment like industry process, which build a key bridge between classroom and factory. Informationalization sharing & learning platforms may offer many opportunities for undergraduates to learn chemical engineering and other related knowledge conveniently.

Indigenous knowledge is important to community disaster resilience because it is the knowledge takes several decades, generations, or even centuries to realize how to avoid natural disaster risks by the lesson learned from interaction with natural environment. Taiwan is high in disaster risks and has been long devoting mass amount of resources in disaster geo-information infrastructures by establishing databases and protocols within government institutions. However, indigenous knowledge for community resilience remains the gap of the disaster information infrastructure. The paper argues disaster resilience communities need geo-information could support the resolution and dynamics of disaster prone communities. Volunteer Geographic Information system (VGI) for crowdsourcing of community disaster information is proposed as an integrated cooperation platform to bridge the gap of official disaster databases..

The Internet has become the most popular communication method with the popularity of broadband networks. There are many emotions cannot be expressed only in plain text. Therefore, people began to use emoticons and stickers to express their delicate emotions. According to the survey in January 2018, an instant messenger application that called “LINE”, their active users in Taiwan grew to 19 million people, and their stickers store generated total sales of USD 15.5 million in 2017. For these reasons, the theme of stickers is still worth studying. In recent years, there has been a study of different personality for LINE’s sticker style preferences, it confirms that people with different personality and backgrounds will have significant differences in their preferences. However, many studies only explore the individual’s personality but ignore the main purpose of stickers is for communication, and the style of stickers will also be promoted by the times. In this paper, we propose an overview of previous research on image styles and summarize the style of stickers that recently released on LINE’s store, and we explore the differences between the user’s preferences when communicating with different social relationship. We provide different research perspectives for social science researchers, graphic designers and the cultural and creative industries.

Creativity is an important part of the competitiveness of all walks of life. In the case of a designer, creativity is paramount. Based on the perspective of industrial design, the relationship between creativity and time pressure is studied This study uses creativity to design. In the part of research, we combine the gray theory of multi-attribute decision making (MADM) forecasting method, creative product analysis matrix and knowledge assessment technology to establish a method of evaluating creative design. In addition, experts and students are tested by comparison: Creative thinking testing, product concept development testing and product aesthetic development testing. Five hypotheses were tested. Based on the analysis results, suggestions for improving the innovative design are proposed. These recommendations can be used as a reference for creative management to make the concept generation process more efficient.
