Existentialism is quite opposed to most traditional philosophical ideas that do not only discuss the distant myths but also concern about people in real life - loneliness with worries and anxiety, “nausea” in the absurd life. Therefore, as existentialism appealed, it had been criticized as pessimism, sentimentalism and had been ignited the desperately hopeless sense of humans. However, existentialism is increasingly being accepted and considered as one of the new thought trends. Up to now, existentialism has had a certain position in Vietnamese literature, poetry, and real life. As one of the civilized centers of the Eastern world, with comprehensive economic, political, and cultural power, China soon spread strong influences outside but directly with the neighboring nations, including Vietnam. One of the ways to spread China's power is based on the business of its own merchants. Due to the changes in historical context, especially the decline of feudal production relations, the risk of invasion of Western colonialism, especially the official invasion of French colonialism since 1858 in Vietnam, the commercial activities of Chinese merchants according to the same characteristics as many previous historical periods have appeared new features bearing the marks of the era. Therefore, researching the mediating role of Chinese merchants in Vietnam during the XVII-XIX centuries will help us to have a more comprehensive view of Vietnam’s history generally and the economic picture of Vietnam, particularly within a fierce historical period.

The article applies a multi-criteria analysis method from secondary data and the results of a survey of 150 households to assess the change in living standards of residents in Nhon Chau island commune, Binh Dinh province after implementing the National Target Program on building new rural areas for the period of 2016-2020. Research results show that 45.3% of households believe that living standards have been improved in a positive direction. In particular, indicators of income, expenditure, living conditions in housing, electricity, water, durable goods change greatly. At the same time, the indicators on health care, the percentage of people with health insurance and the educational indicators related to sending children to school at the right age increase; cultural and spiritual life are improved; the rate of multidimensionally poor households decrease, the quality of life improve. The explanation for this change is the promotion of infrastructure construction, capital investment, changes in science and technology in production to help people transform their livelihoods and form new production models, creating new job opportunities and increasing income. However, living conditions in an island commune are difficult, capital is limited, and some families are afraid to change and lack production means, so their living standards are difficult and they still fall into poverty. The current situation of people's living standards before and after the program implementation contributes to supplementing the scientific basis to provide solutions to stabilize livelihoods, successfully implementing the National Target Program for the period of 2021 - 2025 in Nhon Chau island commune, Binh Dinh province.

This article aims to explore the crisis of humanity when facing unprecedented developments in artificial intelligence. Applying Darko Suvin’s framework of the poetics of the science fiction genre, particularly the two concepts of cognitive estrangement and novum, this article will elaborate on not only the fundamental poetics of the genre, but also the ways in which Ken Liu employs it to convey a sense of suspicion surrounding the disorienting speed of scientific progress. Through the protagonist’s frenzied internal conflict with her state-of-theart smart robot dolls, The Algorithms for Love reflects the wave of skepticism regarding technological advances in modern science fiction.

This study aims to investigate the impact of individual differences on English learning attitude and motivation of undergraduate students. The research tool used was in the form of a seft-reported questionnaire. The respondents were students from Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS version 20. The results show that in terms of integrative and instrumental motivation, female is more self-motivated than male, and parents’ foreign language proficiency has substantial effect on the integrative and instrumental motivation. Students in rural areas have higher instrumental motivation than those in urban areas

The study aims to investigate to survey students of Can Tho University (CTU) about the understanding of same-sex marriage, thereby analyzing students’ perceptions of same-sex marriage. Since then, the study pointed out the factors that affect students’ perception of this issue. Data of the study were collected from 400 students who are majoring in Social Humanities, Natural Science and Engineering Sciences at CTU. Descriptive statistics are used mainly in this study to clarify the purpose of the study. The research results showed that CTU students have understandings of same-sex marriage, most of them realized the positive and negative effects of this relationship.

Emotional intelligence is one of the issues of interest not only in the field of psychological science but also in many other scientific disciplines. Studying emotional intelligence with different subjects will contribute to deepening theoretical problems with new aspects. Emotional intelligence associated with specific activities will be affected by some factors at different levels. At the Department of Security Investigation of the Ministry of Public Security (DSIMPS), emotional intelligence is influenced by the following factors: working environment, gender, physical condition, or object of contact... Being recognized worldwide for its aesthetic value and durability, English porcelain has been a strong longingness among many people from anywhere in the world. Apart from its commercial value, it also carries out non-materialistic notions that can be seen through anthropological analysis within this essay. It, initially, is a means for people of certain occupational sectors to define themselves in the streamline of the social life. In addition, the inspiration it generates uplifts these target people to a rank of incredibly superior intuitions. Even more, it sets a global network of people with a mutual interest where they communicate, make business deals in porcelain, and support one another. Nevertheless, English porcelain seems to be left aside in the list of English cultures in English courses worldwide. It, therefore, urges a necessity to include English porcelain as a cultural significance in teaching English globally, depending on the teacher’s optional method, for a more comprehensive training framework of one of the most internationally used languages (English).

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected Vietnam's tourism industry and caused unprecedented losses. After the COVID-19 pandemic, should Vietnam's tourism industry recover towards a more sustainable tourism model or return to the former overdeveloped mass tourism model is a question that needs to be studied thoroughly saved. This study analyzes the impact of mass tourism development, the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry, and directions for sustainable recovery to ensure a better future for Vietnam's tourism industry, thereby contributing more positively to the overall prosperity of the economy. The research results can be considered a valuable reference for Vietnam's tourism management units in finding solutions for adaptation and sustainable development of the post-COVID-19 tourism industry.

This study analyzes the impact of mass tourism development, the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry, and directions for sustainable recovery to ensure a better future for Vietnam's tourism industry, thereby contributing more positively to the overall prosperity of the economy.
