The paper presents the results of model testing of the electrically exploded current interrupter (switch) designed for the switching system used to release the electromagnetic energy from the inductive storage to the load through a closing switch-discharger. A capacitor bank was used as a source of energy for the inductive storage. Some features of the discharger were varied in order to increase its reliability and operation speed. The obtained experimental data allowed making recommendations on practical implementation of the opening switch. The optimized version demonstrated a possibility to form current pulses with submicrosecond rise time, up to ~ 100 ns, in the low-impedance loads of the inductive storages. The obtained result is true for the currents of megaampere and multimegaampere level that makes it possible to use the opening switch for commutation of the energy sources with high energy capacity, for example, of the explosive magnetic generators.

The possibility of fixing velocities of fluid motion in model porous medium (glass beads) by measuring the transverse relaxation time T2 by spin echo method is shown. The magnetic field gradient arising due to the difference in the magnetic permeability of the fluid and the porous medium causes a decrease in the average time T2, with makes it possible to fix the fluid motion in the absence of an external magnetic field gradient. The addition of magnetic nanoparticles to the fluid under study increases the dependence of T2 on fluid velocity and increases the sensitivity in determining the permeability of porous medium by NMR-relaxometry. Novel experimental method, which provides visualization of interference fringe patterns caused by inserting of artificial notch of prefixed length in composite material, is developed. Deformation response to local material removing is measured by electronic speckle-pattern interferometry. Interferogram interpretation in terms of in-plane displacement components produces determination of two deformation parameters. These parameters represent current damage indicators, which are essential for quantitative description of damage accumulation inherent in fatigue loading of specimens with stress concentrators. Both damage indicators are derived on a base of direct physical measurements by fringe order counting. Analysis of uncertainties in damage indicators determination, which are connected with incorrect prescribing of artificial notch length, is presented.

The features of the probe technique are described and the results of measuring the parameters of plasma generated by a planar magnetron sputtering system with a pure boron target during coating deposition are presented. A feature of probe measurements was the use of heating the collecting surface of a single Langmuir probe. Heating led to a decrease in the electrical resistance of the boron film on the surface, which made it possible to carry out in situ probe measurements of the magnetron discharge plasma parameters during the entire process of boron coating.

The influence of the corona discharge on the holographic recording and the subsequence chemical etching of the recording holographic gratings in the Cr/As40S60-xSex thin film structures was investigated. It was established that applied of the positive corona discharge leads to the increase of the holographic sensitivity during the recording in the As-S-Se films, as well as to the amplification of the diffraction efficiency of the recording gratings and of the relief-phase diffractive gratings obtaining in the result of the consecutive chemical etching. Among the investigated films of the As40S60-xSex system, the best results on the application of the Argon laser irradiation (=488 nm) was obtaining for the composition As40S39Se21. Applied of the corona discharge bring to the increase of the holographic sensitivity more than up two order, and of the diffraction efficiency about three order in the respect of the of the ordinary recording. Reciprocally was reached a amplification of the diffraction efficiency of the relief diffraction gratings formed in the result of the sequent chemical etching up to 30 %.

The paper proposes an X-ray optical scheme of a lithograph with a transmissive dynamic mask and a synchrotron radiation source. The image of a dynamic mask in the form of holes of small diameter is transferred with a decrease to a plate with a resist using a Schwarzschild projection lens. The formation of a topological pattern will occur due to the coordinated operation of the system for scanning a plate with a resist and a microelectromechanical system of a transmissive type. Objectives with a reduction of 10 and 20 times for obtaining 10-20 nm images of 200 nm holes of the dynamic mask are considered. The scheme of illumination of the mask is calculated, which provides uniform illumination on a field of 10x10 mm2. For the synchrotron Siberia-2 of the KISI on a bending magnet, the expected productivity of the lithograph will be up to 1/14 of a plate with a diameter of 100 mm per hour.

The work is devoted to the study of the characteristics of a low-temperature plasma of a high-frequency (HF) discharge (f = 13.56 MHz) ignited between metallic and electrolytic electrodes at atmospheric pressure. Burning of an RF discharge in a diffuse (volumetric) form is observed at the interface between the media between the electrodes. Numerical calculations of the electric field strength and the distribution of the volumetric power density of the Joule heat release before breakdown in a vapor-gas mixture near a metal electrode are presented. The discharge radiation spectrum, plasma composition, and electron density were studied by optical emission spectroscopy. The thermograms of the electrode surface under the conditions of an RF discharge are considered.

In this paper we present the study of the features of epitaxial growth highly stressed superlattices based on highly stressed thin InGaAs/InAlAs layers on InP substrates by the molecular beam epitaxy. It was shown that the growth rates of the InGaAs and InAlAs bulk layers lattice-matched to InP substrates do not allow us to precisely determine the growth rates of thin highly stressed InAlAs/InGaAs strain compensated superlattices and the error is about 10 percent. The effect is related to the difference in the growth temperatures of InGaAs and InAlAs bulk layers, which affects the intensity of indium evaporation from the growth surface.
