Formation of professional competence of the specialists in the sphere of food production and processing industries under conditions of distance learning 在远程学习的条件下,形成食品生产和加工行业专家的专业能力

The article is devoted to the study of the role of the professional competence which is to be mastered by the specialists of food production and processing industries under modern socio-economic conditions as well as to identify promising ways to increase the efficiency of the process of competence development by means of distance learning. The relevance of the study related to professional competence of the specialists in the sphere of food production and processing industries is explained by the fact that the production of quality food that does not pose a threat to human health and life (to health and life of future generations either) and does not cause negative consequences for the environment depends more on responsible and professional actions of personnel in the process of technological production. Some approaches to the definition of professional competence have been analysed. The key components of the professional competence of the specialists in the sphere of food production and processing industries have been identified. The phenomenon of social responsibility as a specific professional competence of the specialists in the sphere of food production and processing industries is highlighted. The characteristics of the competence-based approach to the training of the future specialists in the sphere of food production and processing industries are given. The principles facilitating the development of innovative professional competence of a specialist in the sphere of food production and processing industries in a modern educational institution have been investigated. The phenomenon of distance learning and its main advantages in the educational process have been described. The positive influence of distance learning tools on the formation of professional competence which is to be mastered by specialists in chemical and processing industries has been proved. Some recommendations for improving the efficiency of the process aimed at developing the competence under study in terms of distance learning have been given.

Textbooks for primary school in the reception of Western Ukrainian teachers (the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries) 接受西方乌克兰教师的小学教科书(十九世纪下半叶-二十世纪初)

The process of creating school textbooks is continuous and is based on positive retrospective experience and modern demands of society to the content of education. Under such conditions, the study of the attitude of practising teachers and scholars towards textbooks for primary school in the second half of the nineteenth – early twentieth centuries is relevant for pedagogical science. The article analyses the ideas of Western Ukrainian teachers of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries on the problem of compiling and using school textbooks, their role in education. The analysis of positive and negative characteristics of textbooks for primary school of the period under study is carried out. The main socio-economic and political factors influencing the state and functioning of textbooks for primary school are considered. The aim of the article is to analyse publications and ideas of Western Ukrainian teachers and scholars towards the structure of textbooks for primary school, scientific and accessible content, brevity, accuracy and quality of presentation, the language of textbooks, clarity of definitions, unambiguous use of terms. The research methodology involved: bibliographic search, comparative analysis, systematization and theoretical generalization, content analysis for analytical processing of literature. During the period under study, theoretical substantiation of textbooks for primary school structure, content, didactic principles of text construction began. The importance of visual instruction in primary school was emphasised. Numerous examples have shown the fact that teachers' dissatisfaction with school textbooks was due to excessive volume, numerous unsuccessful passages of texts with dry content, complex, unsuitable for the children’s style, terms and long sentences. Their main flaw was that the material was presented in a dry and tendentious way, thus creating obstacles to the development of interest in independent reading outside the school.

Street art as a cultural and educational project 作为文化教育项目的街头艺术

The necessity of discovering ways to form and develop value orientations of the younger generation makes the research topical. Value orientations are formed under the influence of various sociocultural factors, but there is also a regulated factor – upbringing. In upbringing and education, we can use communication through art. The purpose of this study was to determine the possibilities of a street art project as a means of forming and developing value orientations of the younger generation. The study was conducted in 2015-2021 within the framework of the projects: “Odessa Street Art Festival”, “Travel of the TIS robot in time”, “Along the paths of the Jewish history”, “Flying over Odessa”. The idea of creating a street art object as a cultural and educational project belongs to Aleksey Shkurat, the head of the Peach art studio. The survey method (questioning and conversation) was used to analyze the value orientations of children and adolescents who took part in the experiment (387 participants). The experimental work was divided into three stages. At the first stage, we conducted a pre-experimental research, which was to identify the initial value orientations of children and adolescents from 7 to 15 years old. The respondents filled in the questionnaire with the measured value categories “education as a value”, “art as a value”, “culture as a value”. The second stage of the experiment was direct involvement in the projects. The third stage of our experimental work was the formative experiment. We made a questionnaire and sent it by e-mail to all the respondents. The results of processing the data obtained indicate the positive dynamics of the respondents’ value orientations development. Compared with the results of the pre-experimental research, the level of the value orientations development (measured value categories “education as value”, “art as value”, “culture as value”) increased by 38%. The results of the experiment proved that the use of a street art project has a positive effect on the children and adolescents’ value orientations development.

Features of educator – child relations in kindergarden groups 幼儿园群体中教育者与幼儿关系的特征

Many people think that to make relationships with their children and to develop positive qualities are just in the responsibility of parents. Only a mother can better understand her child and embrace him / her with warmth and caress. In some cases, due to unfavourable family conditions, the most important and beloved person for a child is not the parent, but the caregiver. It is the naturalist who meets the needs of the child, takes care of him / her and, which is most important, loves him / her. The purpose of the researchis is to study features of educatior-child relations in the kindergardens. For more than a century, children around the world have been growing up in social institutions. The experience in this field is expanding. Parents are not the only ones involved in the mental development of children raised in these institutions, teachers (educators) are also actively involved into this process. T. A. Makova, L. Q. Yemelyanova, L. V. Zagik and Y. G. Makova approach to the problem in the viewpoint of the principle of unity in the upbringing of the child. As they have lived together for a long time with their parents, the interaction with educators also covers child’s mental development. It acts as an influential factor as well. Children’s family education and public pre-school education require a common goal and purpose. At the end of the pre-school age, children's mental abilities are characterised by the fact that they are more interested in meeting their needs in activities with the elderly and peers, at the same time accepting themselves as individuals. In fact, it occupies a prominent place in their motives. During this period, the main focus of the child's activities is on self-affirmation in dealing with people. The practice of handling objects continues to improve at a later age but it may not be a priority for the child because he / she already recognises things and events that are of special importance for his / her life. By being aware of their signs and characteristics, they become familiar with many automated systems of action.

The influence of academic integrity on future teachers’ soft skills during the research work 学术诚信对科研工作中未来教师软技能的影响

The article considers the problem of students’ research work in compliance with academic integrity as well as its impact on the formation of future teachers’ soft skills. The purpose of the study is to identify and summarize the components of future teachers’ soft skills, acquired in the process of academic writing in compliance with the requirements of academic integrity. These research methods were used: theoretical analysis of scientific and reference sources on the implementation of academic integrity; generalization and systematization of the existing studies related to the acquisition of future specialists’ soft skills; interpretation of one's own views on the acquisition of soft skills by the future teachers during their research work observing academic integrity in the process of the profession-oriented training. The following components of the future teachers’ soft skills facilitating the performance of research work have been proposed: digital skills, critical thinking skills; time management skills; discipline, communication skills. Acquisition of digital skills during the research work requires that students should master the skills of using information and communication technologies which are necessary for the analysis of digital sources, work with a text editor and online communication with a supervisor. Critical thinking skills are important during the research work, i.e. adhering to academic integrity, a student acquires the ability to quote, paraphrase, summarize, specify and compare other authors’ opinions and draw their own conclusions. The components of future teachers’ soft skills include time management skills, which provide planning and organization of work, as well as contribute to timely and effective implementation of all stages of their study. The next component of future teachers’ soft skills is discipline. This is due to the fact that there are compulsory requirements to the research layout, since observance of these requirements is the condition for its acceptance. In addition, the components of soft skills include communication skills, which are acquired by the students during effective communication with their supervisors, agreement with the research base, interpersonal communication in an academic group, presentation of their own research.

The following components of the future teachers’ soft skills facilitating the performance of research work have been proposed: digital skills, critical thinking skills; time management skills; discipline, communication skills. Acquisition of digital skills during the research work requires that students should master the skills of using information and communication technologies which are necessary for the analysis of digital sources, work with a text editor and online communication with a supervisor. Critical thinking skills are important during the research work, i.e. adhering to academic integrity, a student acquires the ability to quote, paraphrase, summarize, specify and compare other authors’ opinions and draw their own conclusions. The components of future teachers’ soft skills include time management skills, which provide planning and organization of work, as well as contribute to timely and effective implementation of all stages of their study. The next component of future teachers’ soft skills is discipline. This is due to the fact that there are compulsory requirements to the research layout, since observance of these requirements is the condition for its acceptance. FEATURES OF REPRODUCTION OF FEMINITIVES IN THE TRANSLATION OF UKRAINIAN JOURNALISM INTO ENGLISH 乌克兰新闻英译中女性语的再现特征

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of feminitives in the translation of modern Ukrainian journalism into English. The urgency of the work is due to the urgent need for a comprehensive study of feminitives in the Ukrainian language and their translation into English. The aim of the research is to analyze the peculiarities of the translation of feminitives in modern Ukrainian publicist literature into English. As a result of the research, the authors come to the conclusion that the translation of Ukrainian feminitives should adhere to the linguistic tradition and organization of the lexical and grammatical systems of the language in which the translation is performed. Reproduction of feminitives translated from Ukrainian into English requires the involvement of various transformations: lexical, grammatical, stylistic. The subject of research is feminitives — such groups of feminine words that denote a certain state, status, profession and are mostly formed from masculinitives in a suffixal way. However, each language has its own ways of creating feminitives. First of all, it depends on the grammatical, lexical and morphological systems that exist in a language. For example, in Ukrainian, French and German, the suffix method of creating feminitives is used. In Spanish, the most productive way is to add the ending -a to the masculine noun. However, often the genus is determined by a particular article. In English, gender-colored nouns are gradually being replaced by gender-neutral ones, such as “police officer”, “firefighter”. Alternatively, words with a clear indication of male gender are replaced by words denoting female gender. For example, we replace “landlord” with “landlady” if we are talking about a woman. From this we can conclude that the translator needs to carefully study all levels of organization of the language he translates in order to orientate in what ways of feminization of the language are inherent in them. During the analysis, we found that when reproducing Ukrainian feminitives in English, the most commonly used tactics are the transfer of relevant information and the tactics of pragmatic adaptation of the text, which are implemented through such translation operations as interlanguage and translation matching, omission, addition and approximate translation.

EVALUATION OF PRO-VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN SPECIALISED SECONDARY SCHOOLS 中专职业教育评价

Specialised secondary schools started functioning in the school year 2002/2003 in fourteen lines (specialisations). This article presents pro-vocational education as a process implemented in specialised secondary schools with a mechatronic specialisation. The curriculum of the specialised classes includes three modules implemented in grades one to three. The results of curriculum evaluation have shown that for their full implementation, it is necessary to equip schools with specialized teaching aids as well as properly prepared and systematically trained teachers and young people eager to study, properly motivated and prepared in the lower secondary school.

FEATURES OF THE TRANSLATION OF A LANGUAGE GAME IN THE ARTISTIC TEXTS 语言游戏在艺术文本中的翻译特点

The article is dedicated to the study of the ways of formation and the techniques of translation of the language game in artistic texts. The specific objective is to explore the linguistic units, which the most brightly show the language game, in translating artistic texts, and find the most effective tools translator can use to render them in the target languages (Ukrainian and Russian). The study investigates this issue by examining and analyzing the language game in the text of the English-language Xiaolu Guo’s novel “A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers”. Translation of the language game in artistic texts is a challenge for any translator. The translator should be aware of the historical facts, culture, traditions, social and political life of the native speaker in order to make an adequate translation. The peculiarities of the language may be unknown to the people from other countries so the translator is the one who is responsible for the clarity of the translation. The translator should also adhere to the equivalence of the source language and target language texts and the text itself should make the same impression both on native speaker and on foreign language reader. In this context, the translators’ personality is of great importance, his skills and ability to consider a communicative situation, to keep the original text author’s intention and, the most important, to reproduce the language game. The author concludes that for an adequate translation different techniques of translation should be used while translating play on words. The perspective is seen in investigating play on words on the basis of other languages.
本文旨在探讨艺术文本中语言游戏的形成方式和翻译技巧。具体目标是探索在艺术文本翻译中最能体现语言游戏的语言单位,并找到译者可以使用的最有效的工具来将其翻译成目标语言(乌克兰语和俄语)。本研究通过对郭小璐英文小说《恋人简明汉英词典》文本中的语言游戏进行考察和分析来探讨这一问题。翻译艺术文本中的语言游戏对任何一个译者来说都是一个挑战。译者应该了解本族语者的历史事实、文化传统、社会政治生活,才能做出恰当的翻译。语言的特点可能不为其他国家的人所知,所以翻译人员是负责翻译的清晰度的人。译者还应坚持源语和译语文本的对等性,文本本身给本族语使用者和外语读者留下的印象应该是一致的。在这种情况下,译者的个性是非常重要的,他的技巧和能力是考虑交际情境,保持原文作者的意图,最重要的是再现语言游戏。作者认为,在翻译文字游戏的过程中,应运用不同的翻译技巧,以达到翻译的目的。这种观点可以在研究其他语言的文字游戏时看到。

OPERATIONS IN TRANSLATIONS OF POPULAR SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES OF ECOLOGICAL THEME 生态科普文章翻译的操作

The work is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the Ukrainian-language translation of the texts of articles of the popular science substyle from the English language. Particular attention is paid to articles on environmental topics, which are quite common in the modern world. The relevance of the work is due to the need to study articles of the popular scientific sub-style of environmental topics as an object of translation studies and the peculiarities of their translation from English into Ukrainian. The aim of the study is to analyze the translation operations used in the translation of texts of the popular scientific sub-style of the ecological theme. To achieve this aim, it is necessary to define the concept of popular science article as an object of translation studies and to investigate translation operations. Despite the popularity of popular science articles (especially environmental topics) in modern society, this topic is currently insufficiently studied. The object of the research is the texts of popular science articles, and the subject is the operations that were used in the translation of these texts. The research material was the texts of four articles taken from the news sites BBC News UK and BBC News Ukraine. The translation of these texts was carried out using the strategy of communicatively equivalent translation. Tactics were implemented in it: the transfer of relevant information, linguistic and cultural adaptation of the text, reproduction of the stylistic characteristics of the text and stylistic adaptation of the text and the correct design of information. During the translation of the English-language texts of the popular scientific sub-style into the Ukrainian language translation operations such as search for interlingual and translation correspondences, generalization, concretization and permutation in the sentence are most often used.

PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATING UKRAINIAN CULTURE-MARKED LINGUISTIC UNITS INTO ENGLISH (ON THE MATERIAL OF ACADEMIC TEXTS) 乌克兰文化符号语言单位英译的特点(基于学术文本材料)

The article is devoted to the problem of studying culture-marked linguistic units (representing national peculiarities) within the framework of the socially conditioned fact that the mastery in academic English is an integral component in the implementation of the educational process, scientific and intercultural communication for students and scholars. The specifics of translating Ukrainian culture-marked linguistic units into English has been identified; the essence of the concept “academic discourse” has been revealed; the classification features of academic texts and linguistic features of culture-marked lexical units have been analysed; the tactical-strategic construct of reproducing the units under study into English has been specified. Academic discourse is associated with a situation-conditioned discourse, the extralinguistic foundation of which is the theoretical and practical basis for educational relations between participants of academic activities, successful cooperation within the university and beyond it in accordance with the university statutory documents. Genre forms of academic discourse actualisation by classification features (scientific article, academic review, monograph, dissertation, summary, thesis, extended abstract of dissertation, research project, etc.) have been analysed. The key strategy when dealing with the translation of Ukrainian culture-marked linguistic units into English (the strategy of communicativeequivalent translation) and the most commonly used translation tactics (the tactics of cognitive information reproduction, the tactics of linguistic and cultural text adaptation, the tactics of correct information representation) have been determined.
