This article refers to a study of basic semantic characteristics of the “politician” image in modern lexicographic issues. Basic semantic characteristics can help us to form the core of the investigated image for the subsequent determination of additional semantic characteristics that appear at different language levels. The definitions were selected according to the materials of the most authoritative lexicographic issues, which include such explanatory dictionaries as the Oxford Dictionary of Current English, Collins Cobuild advances Learner's English Dictionary, Concise Oxford English Dictionary, Merriam Webster Dictionary. Modern politicians differ significantly in their characteristics from those of past years, however, the basic characteristics remain the same.

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the conceptualization of the geopoetic image of the Far Eastern region in the ergonomic space of the region. The aim of this work is to identify the lexical representatives of the concept of "space" in the ergonymicon of the Far Eastern region. The article describes the specifics of the geopoetic and ergocognitive approach to the conceptualization of regional images, reflecting the features of regional identification, identifies the main cognitive models of the content of the ergonomic concept «space» in the minds of the inhabitants of the Far Eastern region. As a result, it was proved that the geopoetic approach is dominant in identifying the linguo-cognitive features of conceptualization in the field of regional ergonymy. The study identifies and describes the main groups of ergonyms related to the conceptualization of landscape-geographical, natural-biological and socio-cultural images of the Far Eastern region. The novelty of the research lies in the attempt to apply the geopoetic and ergo-cognitive approach to the description of ergonyms from the perspective of regional identification.

The poetic language of any author is unique and original. The translation of the poetic works of many Russian (and not only Russian) poets causes certain difficulties. The poetic language of I. A. Bunin has its own peculiarities. It is necessary to consider the features of his lyrics to translate the poetic works of I. A. Bunin, and the translator faces these difficulties when translating the text into another language. In particular, it is necessary to take into account the significant difference in the phonetic, lexical and grammatical design of the text due to differences in the systems of the Russian and French languages when translating into French. The main principle of the organization of Bunin's poetic phonics is the principle of sound similarity. These, as well as special linguistic means related to the realities of language and culture, do not always find full equivalents in another language. A great difficulty in translating the poems of I.A. Bunin is also the grammatical design of the works.

Cognitive linguistics, which is booming today, addresses the topic of the study of concepts and their structures. The purpose of this article is to describe the figurative features of the husband concept in the Russian language picture of the world. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the concepts that form the key macroconcept of a person in Russian and other language pictures of the world were not the subject of a detailed study. Scientific novelty consists in referring to the concept of a husband from the perspective of a comprehensive study of his figurative features within the framework of the theory of codes of Russian linguistic culture. The husband concept was not the subject of a separate study in linguistic literature. Basic research methods: descriptive, interpretative and conceptual. The research material was taken from the National Corps of the Russian Language (www.ruscorpora.ru), as well as from works of Russian classics. As the research material showed, the most productive are zoomorphic, artifact, property, anthropomorphic and vegetative codes of Russian linguistic culture. This conclusion is made on the basis of the number of examples objectifying the corresponding cognitive characteristics.

In this article, the meanings expressed with the prepositions «на», «для», «к», «ради», which correspond to the preposition “for” in Persian, are examined. One of the problems of Iranian students in learning Russian in the classroom of Iranian audiences is the proper use of Russian prepositions. The reason for this problem is that a preposition in Persian corresponds to different prepositions in Russian. The authors of the paper think that the multiple meanings of Russian prepositions cause many problems; It means that, a preposition in Russian expresses different states and therefore different forms. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the meanings of the prepositions «на», «для», «к», «ради» as the equivalents of the Persian preposition “for”. Russian Dictionary "Russian Language Dictionary in Four Volumes" edited by A.P. Yevgenova, "Dictionary of Modern Russian literary language" edited V.I. Chernysheva and "Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian Language" S.I. Ozhegov have been selected as linguistic sources in this study. The results of this research can be used in teaching Russian to Iranian audiences, as well as in order to minimize the mistakes of Iranian students when translating the preposition “for” into Russian.

The current problems of the terminological evolution of the complex of scientific and technical sciences in the era of technical globalization are considered; there is a significant expansion of the national term fund and the activation of the processes of borrowing into the sublanguage of technical epistemological spheres. In the mainstream of cognitivism, the specificity of technical knowledge is investigated in comparison with humanitarian and other types of knowledge; the connection between science, technology and human thinking is traced; aspects of his mental and cognitive activity are determined. The role of derivational processes in the creation of new conceptual and thematic modules in the structure of the modern scientific and technical terminological system is shown; it is noted that the technical term represents the cognitive element of human cognitive activity.

This article discusses the features of the personal-oriented training methodology TBL (Task-Based Learning), which is based on communicative tasks with the aim of immersion in the language environment. The authors of the article emphasize the advantages of the TBL method compared to traditional methods of teaching English in the university system. In the article the features of group work at the lessons of English are revealed and the factors which influence on its efficiency are formulated. The TBL method is actively used by the authors in their work with students of economic specialties, the experience of implementing the method is also reflected in the analysis of one of the communicative situations.
