A pairwise comparison of the clinical characteristics of patients with external genital endometriosis (EGE) stages I–III was carried out using Fisher's exact test. Patients with the most common (and newly diagnosed) stage II showed the greatest number of statistically significant correlations between clinical signs: dysmenorrheas with primary infertility (p = 0,0201), with localization of endometrioid heterotopias in the pouch of Douglas (p = 0,0214) and sacro-uterine ligaments (p = 0,0259); in addition, a relationship was found between the symptom of chronic pelvic pain and the presence of endometrioid heterotopias in the uterovesical space (p = 0,0071) and on the sacro-uterine ligaments (p = 0,0228). Along with this, they have a combination of foci of adenomyosis with multiple myoma of the uterine body was noted (p = 0,0000). In patients with stage III EGE, only one statistically significant (p = 0,0139) contingency of clinical signs was revealed — dyspareunia and heterotopias on the sacro-uterine ligaments.

Among the anomalies in the development of all organs and systems, congenital malformations of the kidneys and upper urinary tract occupy the first place, accounting for 12.9–40% of all congenital malformations and 3–5.5% of the total number of urological cases. The combination of two or more anomalies of the genitourinary system is extremely rare. The article presents a description of the clinical observation and the choice of surgical treatment for three anomalies in the development of the urinary system, for a long time unrecognized in a 19-year-old patient — pelvic dystopia of the left hypoplastic kidney with vaginal ectopia of the ureter.

Tumors of the penis (both malignant and benign) are fairly rare diseases. Even more rare are cases of metastasis of malignant tumors of other organs to penis. The clinical picture of penile metastatic lesions is highly heterogeneous, ranging from small nodules to massive lesions with or without ulceration, obstructive or irritative symptoms, hematuria or priapism. This article reviews the literature on this rare nosology, as well as from personal experience presents a clinical observation of a rare disease: priapism secondary to bladder cancer metastasis.

Aim. Determine indicators of the vascular wall of the ventricular myocardium and the level of homocysteine in the blood when exposed to sodium dichromate and lindane under experimental conditions. Methods of the Research. The experiment was carried out on male mice; the histological method, morphometry of the obtained data, biochemichal blood analysis, and the statistical processing of the research data were used. Results. When exposed to sodium dichromate in the 1st month of the experiment, the myocardial arteries of the anterior wall of the left ventricle were thickened by 3.8 px compared with the control, in the 2nd month of the experiment this indicator was close to those of the control group. When compared between the two experimental groups, no clear changes were found. The revealed changes in the myocardial artery of the posterior wall of the left ventricle are similar to those of the anterior wall artery. The content of homocysteine under the exposure to sodium dichromate in the 1st month is higher, in the 2nd month of the experiment it is slightly reduced compared to the 1st month. The data obtained in the lindane treatment group both in the 1st and 2nd months of the experiment were close to those of the control group. Conclusion. Chronic exposure to sodium dichromate and lindane causes thickening of the walls of the intramural arteries, which was accompanied by an increase in the level of the endothelial dysfunction marker — homocysteine in the blood, while increasing further damage to the walls of the arteries in the myocardium.

Introduction. In connection with the acquisition of antibiotic resistance of pyogenic microbiota, the problem of topical (drug) treatment of wounds has become aggravated. Aim. Comparative in vivo evaluation of the medicinal properties of ointments prepared on the basis of some biologically active complexes from higher basidiomycetes. Materials and methods. Experimental ointments were obtained on the basis of melanins from the natural raw materials of the сhaga Inonotus obliquus and from its deep-liquid culture, total polysaccharides from the oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, as well as the melanin polysaccharide complex from these mushrooms. Melanins were obtained by alkaline hydrolysis. Melanin-containing ointments were prepared using two formulations of ointment bases (the ointment base included saline, vaseline oil, emulsifiers T-2 and Tween-60, in the second case — saline, lanolin as an emulsifier and vaseline) in the first case. Total polysaccharides were obtained by 96% ethyl alcohol precipitation from an aqueous extract of a fungal homogenate heated in a boiling water bath for 12 h, followed by purification from fractions insoluble in distilled water. Melanin-polysaccharide-containing ointments were prepared on the basis of melanins from the natural raw materials of the сhaga Inonotus obliquus and from its deep culture, total polysaccharides from the oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, the ratios in the ointment formulations being (1:1 and 1:2). The ointment base of polysaccharide-containing and melanin-polysaccharide-containing ointments was similar to the specified second formulation. The wound healing efficacy of the ointments was evaluated in eight groups (20 mice each) of healthy non-inbred mice of both sexes, weighing 17–19 g, of the ICR colony of the State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology Vector. The control group was a group of mice, in the treatment of which Levomicon-TFF reference ointment was used (20 mice in the group). The treatment of mice was continued until their incised skin wounds healed. The motor activity, appetite, and dynamics of wound healing were evaluated daily in mice of all groups, the change in their body weight was assessed every three days, and a histomorphological study of the incised skin wound was performed. The areas of wounds, the percentage of reduction in the area of wounds, the rate of wound contraction, and the rate of wound healing were determined. Results. It was shown that the components of the ointment bases of the two tested ointment formulations, melanin from the natural raw materials of the сhaga and from its deep-liquid culture, the total polysaccharides of the oyster mushroom, as well as the melanin polysaccharide complexes of these mushrooms, do not have toxicity for experimental animals in the concentrations of the tested ointment formulations. Introduction. Instability — dislocation of the vertebrae, one of the forms of the motor segment dysfunction, causes pain and subsequent neurological disorders. There is a direct relationship between the data of the instability indicator and the clinical picture: the higher it is, the more pronounced the clinical manifestations of vertebral displacementare. And vice versa, conversely, its zero value (there is a functional block) coincides with rare exacerbations of the pain syndrome and a relatively satisfactory condition of the patient. Various types of vertebrae dislocation are much more common than is determined by functional radiography of the spine. As a rule, cervical dislocations are diagnosed already at a later date, when conservative measures are difficult and ineffective, and high-tech surgical treatment is requiring with certain material costs. Aim. To study the effectiveness of the developed method of functional radiography with weights for diagnosing instability of the spinal motion segment in the cervical spine. Materials and methods. 50 patients were under observation, the average age was 50.6 ± 2.19 years. All patients were admitted to the neurosurgical department of the clinic of the Irkutsk Scientific Center for Surgery and Traumatology with a diagnosis of adult osteochondrosis of spine (ICD M 42.1). Results. A comparative analysis of the study results of the effectiveness of X-ray methods for diagnosing instability of the spinal motion segment in the cervical spine revealed that the method of weight-bearing spondylography, where the percentage of verification was 68 %, was the most sensitive one. We have developed a formula for determining instability in the spinal motion segment: z = a + b · x – c · l, where z — indicator of instability of determined spinal motion segments; x — patient’s age; l — length of the cervical spine — the distance from the condyle of the lower jaw to the upper contour of the spinous process of the first thoracic vertebra — ThI, a, b, c — coefficients of linear dependence, obtained by the method of least squares by experimental-calculation (software-computing complex Table Curve 3D v4.0.01). The cervical dislocation was measured when the patient's neck was bent 45° forward (flexion) and 15° backward (extention). The obtained data were grouped according to the sex of the patients, and displacement of the vertebrae. This relationship shows that the maximum normal strain of the intervertebral discs is manifested at a neck flexion of 45°, extension of 15°, and with a load of 500 g, mounted on the patient’s head. A correlation between the length of the cervical spine and the age of patients was established, the correlation coefficient was rix = 0.58. The correlation dependence of the index of the cervical vertebrae instability and the age of patients was checked, the correlation coefficient was rix = 0,58. Correlation coefficients show a fairly high correlation between the length of the cervical spine and ag

A comparative analysis of the study results of the effectiveness of X-ray methods for diagnosing instability of the spinal motion segment in the cervical spine revealed that the method of weight-bearing spondylography, where the percentage of verification was 68 %, was the most sensitive one. We have developed a formula for determining instability in the spinal motion segment: z = a + b · x – c · l, where z — indicator of instability of determined spinal motion segments; x — patient’s age; l — length of the cervical spine — the distance from the condyle of the lower jaw to the upper contour of the spinous process of the first thoracic vertebra — ThI, a, b, c — coefficients of linear dependence, obtained by the method of least squares by experimental-calculation (software-computing complex Table Curve 3D v4.0.01). The cervical dislocation was measured when the patient's neck was bent 45° forward (flexion) and 15° backward (extention). The obtained data were grouped according to the sex of the patients, and displacement of the vertebrae. This relationship shows that the maximum normal strain of the intervertebral discs is manifested at a neck flexion of 45°, extension of 15°, and with a load of 500 g, mounted on the patient’s head. A correlation between the length of the cervical spine and the age of patients was established, the correlation coefficient was rix = 0.58. The correlation dependence of the index of the cervical vertebrae instability and the age of patients was checked, the correlation coefficient was rix = 0,58. Correlation coefficients show a fairly high correlation between the length of the cervical spine and ag","PeriodicalId":342613,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskij medicinskij vestnik","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132047670","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this article was to study the organization of examination, features of the structure and dynamics of primary disability of the adult population in the Novosibirsk region, including in a pandemic. The article analyzes the number and contingent of disabled people in the Novosibirsk region, as well as compares the data with those of the Siberian Federal District and the Russian Federation as a whole. The materials for the study were reporting forms No. 7-Sobes of the FSI “Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in the Novosibirsk Region”. It is shown that since 2010 the number of persons recognized as disabled for the first time has been steadily declining. The contingent of disabled people in the Novosibirsk region is mainly represented by disabled people of the 3rd group of retirement age. Over the period 2020–2021, the FSI “Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise for the Novosibirsk Region” of the Ministry of Labor of Russia conducted 30 examinations to determine the cause of death of medical workers performing work duties in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The period of restrictions caused by the new coronavirus infection emphasized the importance of electronic interdepartmental interaction between the institution of medical and social expertise and medical organizations, and became the reason for its active development.

In the study, the morphometric analysis of bone trabeculae of the developing jaws, tooth buds, tongue muscles, masseter muscle, and myocardium of 20-day fetuses of Wistar rats, exposed to vibration from the 9th to the 18th day of prenatal ontogenesis, was performed. The concentration of Ca, Cd, Cu, Fe, Mg, P, Pb, Se, Zn was determined in the liver of pregnant females exposed to vibration. The morphometric study revealed an acceleration of the osteogenesis of jaws and dentinogenesis of tooth buds. In the myocardium and masseter muscle signs of interstitial edema and a decrease in the area of the vessels of the microvasculature are determined. In the liver, there is a decrease in the amount of Ca, Mg and Fe, which is accompanied by an increase in the content of Cd and Pb. The revealed shifts in mineral metabolism indicate gross impairment of chemicals' homeostasis in the mother-fetus system, which underlies the imperfect morphogenesis of the fetal dentition and will be the basis for the formation of pathology of orofacial organs and cardiovascular pathology in offspring.
