Resources Allocation Optimization in Distributed and Heterogeneous Computing Environments 分布式和异构计算环境下的资源分配优化

In this work, we introduce a slot co-allocation algorithm for parallel jobs execution in distributed computing with non-dedicated and heterogeneous resources. A single slot is a time span that can be assigned to a task, which is a part of a parallel job. The job launch requires a co-allocation of a specified number of slots starting and finishing synchronously. Some existing algorithms assign a job to the first set of slots matching the resource request without any optimization (the first fit type), while other algorithms are based on an exhaustive search. In this paper, we refine a general first fit resources selection algorithm by incorporating a special slots subset allocation procedure. The improved algorithm provides an optimal solution for a considered scheduling problem and maintains a reasonable computational complexity. The algorithm is compared with two common resources allocation heuristics and its optimization efficiency is proved by a simulation study against time, cost and general-case criteria.

Computer Simulation as a Mean of Problems Addressing in Systematic Design of Electrotechnical Complexes 计算机仿真作为解决电工综合体系统设计问题的手段

Using the example of the problem of deep modernization of a commercially available three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) for a special purpose backup power system, the results of its solution are given. As a means of solution, computer simulation (CS) is used. To achieve specified quality indicators, the system approach to design and modern principles of structural and algorithmic optimization of VSI are used as the methodological basis. In particular, a high-frequency two-channel push-pull step-up DC/DC converter (SUDCC) with a patented energy-saving snubber and an energy-efficient strategy of the pulse-width modulation (PWM) in the VSI are used. For reasons of improving reliability and improving the energy and mass-dimensions, VSI is also performed on a two-channel structure. With the same considerations, the function of regulation (stabilization) of the output voltage is assigned to the converter. The SUDCC is also partly involved in improving the spectral composition of the output voltage. Estimates are given for the mass-size and energy parameters of the synthesized device.

Extremum-Open-Source Optimization Library and its Application to Optimal Control Synthesis Problem 极值开源优化库及其在最优控制综合问题中的应用

Optimization theory is a widely-used field of mathematics that can be applied to different tasks: pure engineering problems (e.g., obtaining optimal wing shape), control synthesis tasks (e.g., determination of optimal guidance of aircraft), and even machine learning (e.g., training procedures of neural networks). Currently mostly all applied software systems support optimization procedures in a very limited form. This fact leads to several problems: black-box effect (i.e., there is no opportunity to explore source code, modify it, or simply verify), no code reuse (i.e., implemented procedures are accessible only within software that includes it), limitation modern optimization algorithm application (i.e., number of optimization algorithms increases but most of them were verified only on synthetic tests). Also, it should be noted that all mentioned problems lead to so-called reproducibility crisis. The main idea of this work is to suggest an Open-Source Optimization Library Extremum (OSOL Extremum) with wide API features and to show how it can be applied to find optimal control of a Simulink model that represents behavior of a satellite.

Using of Information-Analytical System “OptiMet” for the Resource and Energy Saving Tasks in Engineering Educational Process “OptiMet”信息分析系统在工程教学过程中完成资源与能源节约任务的应用

The article presents two main directions in the field of application of information-analytical system “OptiMet”. The use of information-analytical systems for educational purposes is currently in demand and necessary for the preparing and training of future engineers (1). Besides the article demonstrates methodological approaches to the resource and energy saving strategy development for metallurgical plant on the base of application of information-analytical system “OptiMet” (2). For modeling and optimizing the energy technology system of metallurgical plant the information-analytical system “OptiMet” was used. As for assessment of harmful emission impact on the environment, it was carried out on the basis of Impact Pathways methodology with using the geoinformation system. The results of optimization calculations in combination with results of energy audit allowed to develop the energy saving program for metallurgical plant.

Redundant Manipulator Control System Simulation with Adaptive Neural Network and Newton-Raphson Refinement Algorithm 基于自适应神经网络和Newton-Raphson优化算法的冗余机械手控制系统仿真

In the paper we consider modeling of a manipulator that is based on hybrid method of solving inverse kinematics (IK) problem with using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and an algorithm for iterative refinement by Newton-Raphson method. The process of control system synthesis for the multi-link redundant manipulator with the use of a programmable logic controller (PLC) is also demonstrated. The presented control system provides controlled accuracy of calculations in real-time systems. This method of solving IK problem could be applied for various constructions of manipulator with different parameters, this advantage makes the control system cross-platform. Simulation of the developed control system was performed in the Matlab environment. A mathematical equations of the constructing the manipulator workspace and an example of training neural networks of the control system are given. The results of the solution of IK problem are presented.

Applications of Digital Signal Processing Methods in Ultrasonic Flowmeters 数字信号处理方法在超声波流量计中的应用

The article discusses the investigation of the digital signal processing methods efficiency in ultrasonic flowmeters. Using digital signal processing allows to increase the accuracy in the propagation times difference measuring of ultrasonic signals-the main informative parameter of an ultrasonic flowmeter and to reduce the measurement error. Analytic expressions are obtained that allow one to evaluate the effect of the probing signals parameters and the digital signal processing correlation methods parameters on the effectiveness of their application in ultrasonic flowmeter. The studies were carried out as part of the preparation of methodological materials for developed laboratory work on the course “Fluid and gas flow measurement”.

Development of a Computer Model of a Fire-Tube Hot Water Boiler, its Verification and Use in the Design Process 火管热水锅炉计算机模型的建立、验证及在设计中的应用

In the paper it was considered the problem of heat calculation of fire-tube boilers by the existing normative methods, which are used in the Boiler Designer program. The ways of the solution of these problems which allowed to develop the computer model of a hot-water fire-tube boiler and to use it in the design process are offered.

Thermal Endurance of Cables by Connecting of Distributed Generation Objects to the Electric Power System 分布式发电设备与电力系统连接时电缆的耐热性

By projecting of electrical annex of power plants not only the choice of the main electrical installations is conducted (e.g. generators, transformers, circuit-breakers), but also of cable lines. By checking of generator stator circuit cables for thermal endurance the thermal effect time is the short circuit clearance time by the operation of the main protective equipment and the current is the short circuit current from the electric power system or the generator. The goal of this paper is to adjust the cable choice method in a stator circuit of a low-power generator inbuilt in the existing nodes of the electrical power system as a distributed generation object. By thermal endurance check of stator circuit installations for such generators the short circuit reference point may be on the adjoined segment of the electrical grid. In this case, by electrically close short circuits and after their clearance without disconnection of the generator from the power grid an additional current rush and asynchronous operation current will increase the thermal generation. Recommendations for refinement of cable thermal endurance check method were developed for a gas turbine low-power generator, which operates parallel to the electric power system.

By checking of generator stator circuit cables for thermal endurance the thermal effect time is the short circuit clearance time by the operation of the main protective equipment and the current is the short circuit current from the electric power system or the generator. The goal of this paper is to adjust the cable choice method in a stator circuit of a low-power generator inbuilt in the existing nodes of the electrical power system as a distributed generation object. By thermal endurance check of stator circuit installations for such generators the short circuit reference point may be on the adjoined segment of the electrical grid. In this case, by electrically close short circuits and after their clearance without disconnection of the generator from the power grid an additional current rush and asynchronous operation current will increase the thermal generation. Studying of the Non-Isotropic and Nonlinear Behaviour of Vibrating Structure Gyroscope via Inverse Methods of Mechanics 用力学逆方法研究振动结构陀螺仪的非各向同性和非线性行为

The report is devoted to study of non-isotropic and nonlinear dynamic properties of micromachined vibrating structure gyroscope are studied. The equations of motion of the ring resonator are derived to account non-isotropic and nonlinear properties of resonator material. Asymptotic model for slow variables describing controlled oscillations is constructed according to schemes of the Krylov-Bogolyubov averaging method. Algorithms of parameters identification of gyro drift produced by non-isotropic and nonlinear properties of system for forced oscillations mode are proposed. The proposed averaging and identifying methods are used by students of Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics and Strength of Machines Department of National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute» for performance of graduate works.
