The purpose of this paper is to present the validity and reliability of a survey designed for technological acceptance of the Institutional Repository RITEC of Tecnologico de Monterrey with resources on energy and sustainability. The research question to be answered is: how does the user experience influence the success or failure of the acceptance of an Institutional Repository? The survey consists of four points in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM): perceived utility (PU), perceived ease of use (EU), attitudes towards use (ATU) and intention to use (BIU). The pilot survey was applied to 47 students enrolled in the virtual course "Visibility of open knowledge through the RITEC". The results obtained from the reliability analysis, using Cronbach's alpha index, indicate the high internal consistency of the survey. The validity of the survey focuses on the content validity, valued by a group of experts.

This paper presents a real case of using a MOOC course into an obligatory subject in a Master level with face-to-face lessons as a supplementary (and optional) material. The case presented is related to a MOOC course developed between April and May of 2018, in Miriada X. The objective is to improve the students' involvement and independence of using a high-technological software (LS-DYNA®) out of the class, which traditionally require many tutoring hours. The study is validated by collecting data from two consecutive editions of the course, one in which the MOOC was used and other in which it was not. Additionally, a comparison of the students' satisfaction and involvement is also made including the on-line learners. The grades, based on a research project presentation and report, are significantly higher for the face-to-face students when using the on-line material (MOOC). In terms of perception through a SEEQ questionnaire, the students with access to the MOOC had statistically significant difference regarding class rhythm and number of practical cases conducted during the course, in comparison with the face-to-face students without access to the MOOC.

Planning any educational innovation experience, foreseeing its results, following an effective and efficient application of the method, and even transferring it, may be difficult due to its creative character. The MAIN method (Method for Applying Innovation in educatioN) is a modeling method that allows the planning, implementation, and dissemination of educational Innovation. This work presents the different steps that make up the method above: the used methodology, the included duties, the needed effort, the technological background, and its impact prediction. This paper presents a specific application of the MAIN method to solve the absence of active learning in students, and it uses the Flip Teaching method, as well as a scientific dissemination strategy of that innovation.

The track 10 of the TEEM 2018 conference aims at discussing new perspectives on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the teaching profession by drawing on their advantages and limitations. The technical mastery of technological resources does not guarantee an effective learning. Teaching strategies and competencies are needed to fruitfully implement ICT in the classroom. Nonetheless, the fact of working with digital media in the classroom does not necessarily mean changes in the instructional design of teaching. Thus, teacher education programs should offer solid research evidence and theoretical frameworks to better understand nowadays teaching.

DevOps is an approach to reduce software development times by integrating a set of tools in order to get a better and automated transition towards production. DevOps is highly connected to tools and to Cloud Computing. On the other hand, e-Learning tools are also evolving towards the cloud. In this scenario, the connection of this two research fields seems to be promising. However, to the best of authors' knowledge the interaction of both has not been studied in deep. To bridge this gap, in this paper, a multivocal literature review is presented. By means of this systematic approach, authors analyze scientific and professional literature on the topic. Results reveal a nascent but still modest interest in DevOps in e-Learning solutions. Authors believe that the increasing adoption of cloud e-Learning solutions and the increasing pressure to deploy new versions of software with boost the interest in this research field.

Central fatigue related in sport stimuli was studied by Critical Flicker Fusion Threshold (CFFT) to know the influence of exercise on the central nervous system (CNS), but there is a lack of knowledge about the central or peripheral fatigue in endurance events. This study aimed to analyze changes in CFFT before and after the incremental cycle ergometer test as a means to assess the fatigue of the CNS. CFFT ascending and descending, the subjective criterion and sensory sensitivity were analyzed in 8 professional male cyclists (72.1±5.59 kg, 180.3±6.43 cm, 17.4±0.7 years) before and after a maximum incremental cycle ergometer test (start 50w increases 50w each 5 minutes). In this incremental test, the induced fatigue was probably more a peripheral phenomenon than one due to central nervous system fatigue, because sensory sensitivity did not significantly decrease. In conclusion, an incremental cycle ergometer test increased the cortical arousal and does not affect negatively the CNS of professional cyclists.

Computer developments as didactic resources are gaining an increasingly relevant role as new technologies are integrated into the teaching activity. A good knowledge and interpretation of radiological procedures, such as nuclear magnetic resonance and ultrasound, is essential to carry out correct clinical diagnoses, especially in an anatomical area as complex as the pelvis and the female pelvic floor. The need for training both students, residents and specialists in gynecology in the anatomy of that area, in the interpretation of diagnostic images and, especially, in surgical anatomy, makes this form of learning through technological resources, such as the one we present, is seen as a new alternative or as a complement to those already used up to the present time

In the IACEE (International Association for Continuing Engineering Education -- www.iacee.org) world conference of 2016 a declaration was signed by participants. IACEE is an international organization dedicated to the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and to the Continuing Education in Engineering (CEE). IACEE recognizes the scale and complexity of the gap between existing solutions and the needs facing our planet concerning sustainability and that the IACEE is uniquely placed to act on this opportunity. IACEE seeks to pivot the organization to connect individuals, universities, industry, government and NGO organizations to meet the grand challenges facing humanity and the world. Keeping with its dedication to lifelong learning, IACEE has developed and will continue to develop global initiatives to address those twenty-one century challenges threatening the survival of human kind through collaboration, design, creative thinking and engineering. Continuing Engineering Education (CEE) can provide training for engineers that are active with immediate impact on sustainability. Change and improvement of active engineers can be obtained mostly by education and training of the current engineering community around the world. The role of online learning is crucial to change habits of engineers and improve the sustainability component of decisions. The strategic initiative SERINA is presented with future plans to improve the sustainable performance of engineers through training.
