The study examines the long run and short run co-integration between Foreign Institutional Investments (FII) and Nifty indices in India using 22 years monthly data from Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2022 for the study. The study is of secondary nature that has been collected from secondary source published in official websites. For examine the co-integration between variables we have applied ARDL bound test approach. The study confirmed that there is positive co-integration in short run but negative co-integration in long run that means a change in nifty by 1 percent accelerates positive change in FII investment by 19.0872 Cr in short run and declining the nifty index affect FIIs investment negatively in long run. The result of bound test depicted that F-statistics (57.58212) is coming more that lower bound (3.62) and upper bound (4.16) which show significant long run co-integration. By looking the result we suggest the investor should go for momentum trading in short run and go for value trading in long run.

Juvenile justice is a legal framework that defines justice for juveniles. The problem of juvenile delinquency is not new. It happens in all societies simple as well as complex, that is wherever and whenever a relationship is affected between a group of individuals leading to maladjustments and conflict. The major debate and discussion surrounding the juvenile justice system began after the heinous incident of the Nirbhaya Gang Rape Case within which an accused was only six months faraway from reaching the age of 18, the age of becoming significant, and forcing the Indian legal system to convict him as a juvenile instead of a full-fledged offender.1 To solve the challenges of juvenile delinquency various declarations and conventions at the international level and laws were enacted by the respective governments at the national level. It is a serious worry for the country and answers for end the issue should be looked for all around prudently. Indian lawful system and legal executive has reacted to these trends and has acquired a few amendments the laws pertaining to juvenile justice in India.2 The Juvenile Justice System is the most dynamic and irradiated framework embraced by the world which deals with all-round development of children. The main focuses to give consideration to the unprotected children. The concept of juvenile justice was derived from a belief of problems that the hurdles of juvenile delinquency and youth in abnormal situations are not amenable to resolution within the ambit framework of the traditional process of criminal law.3

The case revolves around the decision to be taken by Mr Sashikant Hegde, Managing Director, Hycons Renewable Private Ltd, on the project viability of a business proposal. The proposal was to start a manufacturing plant in Punjab to produce compressed biogas using paddy straws. Hegde firmly believed that the company would do well considering the growth of the CNG market in India, as the oil and natural gas sector in India is among the top 10 core industries in the country and plays an important role in the existence of other important sectors as well. The proposal would benefit Hycons to establish its presence in northern India, but the project viability and funding of the investment remained an unanswered question.

On1 23 August 2019, the Finance Minister of India declared and cleared the way for the merger2 of 10 public sector banks into four large public sector banks (PSBs). In pursuance thereof, the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) merged into Punjab National Bank (PNB). OBC held a 23% stake in Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (CHOIC), whereas PNB itself held a 30% stake in PNB MetLife India Insurance Co. Ltd. (PMLI) (Outlook, 2020). Thus, post-merger, PNB had two insurance businesses. Mr Mallikarjuna Rao, Managing Director & CEO, PNB, was in a fix on whether to continue with a 23% stake in Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance or discard them. He wondered whether the two competing businesses would augur well for PNB. Should he not get out of Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance and concentrate on PNB MetLife India Insurance or vice versa? How much cash could he raise through this disposal? Would it be right for him to dispose immediately or wait for a better valuation?3 These questions were circling in his mind. He knew that whatever decision he took, his focus had to be on improving Punjab National Bank’s profitability.

In pursuance thereof, the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) merged into Punjab National Bank (PNB). OBC held a 23% stake in Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Mr Mallikarjuna Rao, Managing Director & CEO, PNB, was in a fix on whether to continue with a 23% stake in Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance or discard them.
