In order to achieve the purpose of the automotive establishment of plant-level production planning and scheduling, to balance the enterprise production capability, to reduce the production cycle, and to ensure the enforceability of the establishment of production planning and scheduling on plant-level, an establishment and management system of production planning and scheduling is proposed oriented to large-piece OKP (one-of-a-kind production) enterprises. The requirement of production planning and scheduling for this kind of enterprises is analyzed. A function model of the establishment and management system of production planning and scheduling is designed and constructed, and the capability balance and the establishment methods of production planning and scheduling are advanced based on this model. And then, the main function models of the system are developed. Finally, the functions of the system are introduced by using examples and verified by applying them in one of the real enterprises.

The radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is applied in a mixed-model assembly line to facilitate operational functionalities of the manufacturing execution system (MES), including data collection, document control, labor management, production process control, and performance analysis. The architecture and logic framework of the RFID-based MES are illustrated and synchronization modes between the MES and RFID devices concerning stability, efficiency and generality are discussed as well.

The use of RFID tags for storing unique identifiers increases the complexity of existing global supply chains. Companies participating in this RFID-aided supply chains are confronted with new challenges by using RFID technology. Most RFID tags contain no sophisticated data protection mechanisms, because they are primarily designed to be cheap and to carry a very limited amount of data. This lack of data protection introduces various attack scenarios for current and upcoming RFID scenarios. The use of authentication in communication networks prevents third parties to gather access to confidential data. We introduce a mutual authentication model prevent the exposure of RFID communication data between tag and reader based on the implementation of predefined on-tag password lists.

Bioremediation technique is becoming more and more important with the increasing amount of petroleum contaminated soil in China. Management on the bioremediation technique is a basic need for the application of the bioremediation techniques on petroleum contaminated soil. Environmental management, including selection of remediation method, technique management, process control and risk management, is discussed in detail. Basic remediation cost model is developed to characterize the bioremediation cost analysis for petroleum contaminated soil.

In December 2004, the bookbuilding method was introduced in the Chinese IPO market and the PE ratio restriction was abolished. The purpose of the study is to examine whether the IPO shares after reform are priced efficiently so that the different levels of underpricing can be explained rationally by economic variables for information asymmetry theory. The result of the study revealed that only a small portion of the underpricing could be explained by the information asymmetry theory in either the pre or post liberalization periods. The possible reason is the pricing process of the unseasoned shares in China is still under the influence of the government authorities such as the equity division regulation and allocation restriction.

From a brand new view of complex network, this paper abstracts the topological structure and dynamic mechanism of industry chain to expatiate the network relation formation and characteristics of industry chain. It points out industry chain has such characteristics of complex network as microcosm and scale-free. Therefore, the conception system and structure of industry chain are proposed. On the basis of analyzing the influence of disaster crisis on industry system, the stability to resist random attack or malicious destruction of industry chain were analyzed and the result is obtained that the robustness and weakness of industry chain under random attack or malicious destruction. The weakness of core enterprises in industry chain under external attack was stated and it is highlighted the importance of promoting core enterprises to react crisis. This paper also depicted the spread and the control of uncertainty of industry network under crisis. Disease spread model is utilized to analyze the spread of uncertainty in industry chain, measure the threshold value to prevent the spreading of crisis, as well to provide theory foundation for stability of industry chain as a whole.

The construction industry is generally viewed as a project-based industry, in which knowledge is scattered in different construction projects and participants. Since the complex nature of construction projects brings serious challenge, knowledge will seldom be shared or reused if it could not be transferred effectively and acquired correctly. Knowledge loss in a construction project's lifecycle and among different projects is discussed in this paper. Obstacles of knowledge transfer in construction projects are identified and the importance of knowledge transfer in the implementation of construction projects is emphasized. Additionally, the mechanism of knowledge transfer is analyzed. Some suggestions for improving efficiency of knowledge transfer in construction projects are presented also.

Knowledge-sharing is the most important sector of knowledge management. Traditional research on knowledge-sharing mechanism doesn't resolve the fundamental problem affecting knowledge-sharing. Drawing on niche-theory of the ecology, this paper proposes a knowledge-sharing model basing on niche-theory. The core idea of the model is: as the starting point of knowledge preference, the model sets up knowledge-sharing mechanism, achieves the most optimal allocation of resources through knowledge ecosystem's self-organization, achieves value maximization of knowledge resources, and eventually realizes a win-win situation for both enterprises and employees.

Analytical target cascading (ATC) is a methodology for translating system design targets to design specifications for the elements comprising a decomposed engineering system. The paper introduces ATC to the application on the reliability allocation and presented a new algorithm based on exterior penalty function, called ATC-EPF. The method can deal with huge scale reliability allocation problem by the decomposition and coordination of targets between upper and lower level. The examples in the paper show that the proposed method can achieve good results as the same as the all-in-one method.
