This study explores macroeconomic and industry-level effects on corporate systematic risk (or beta) for European cyclical and noncyclical companies. We document the extent to which stock market betas fluctuate over time for both industry groups. In addition, we analyze the fundamental determinants of systematic risk. We find evidence that, although noncyclical industries market betas have a lower magnitude, after controlling for firms fundamental strength, macroeconomic conditions and different institutional environments, both types of industries are affected in the same manner by the variables incorporated in our study.

The article allows us to establish that one of the most important elements of capital management of enterprises in the construction industry is scientifically based rationing. In order to achieve the most effective management of the financial resources of a construction enterprise, it is necessary to form such a capital structure that will minimize its weighted average cost and ensure an increase in the value of the company as a whole, as well as identify the main problems in capital formation for their timely and most effective elimination.

The development of an enterprise's social responsibility is now receiving a special place in the corporate strategy process due to increasing society's requirements for corporate business and spreading the concept of sustainable development. Developing an effective social responsibility strategy is impossible without consolidating information about aspects of the corporate enterprise's activities that are significant for critical stakeholders. The article's purpose was to develop theoretical and methodological support for information consolidation that helps ensure the business's social responsibility and optimize the corporate enterprise's strategic choice during value-creating for customers. The author's hypothesis anticipates the necessity of forming two control contours of creation and using consolidated information. The first contour of controlling is aimed at supporting the enterprise's strategic choice. The second contour of controlling focuses on delivering the informational influences on the value promotion processes. The hypothesis is proved by using the system dynamics paradigm and providing the differentiation for information consolidation directions inside the cycles of increasing the value returns. These cycles have been integrated with the enterprise's corporate architecture model. Several additional hypotheses have also been put forward. It has been proposed to use corporate social responsibility individual directions as components of the enterprise's strategic map built according to the Balanced Score Card paradigm. Also, the concept of «integrated value creation» has been offered as a base for linking corporate social responsibility with the organizational capabilities concept, widely represented in corporate architecture modeling standards. In this case, organizational capabilities have been considered an intersection point of the business and society interests. Consolidation information is used to create an institutional interaction between the enterprise and stakeholders. Given this, corporate social responsibility has been transferred from it's considering as a cost center to a profit center or an investment center. The areas of synergy manifestation and the directions for possible emergence appearance have been defined under expanding the corporate enterprise capabilities by the social responsibility principle. The three-dimensional space for information consolidation and transparency receiving has been offered for the corporate social responsibility initiatives improvement.

In the context of the development of European integration processes, there is an increase in the role of quality in general and product quality in particular in the activities of domestic enterprises, which creates the need, first of all, to improve the management system of economic entities. World experience confirms the hypothesis about the expediency of introducing a quality management subsystem into the management system of domestic enterprises, which ensures, along with other advantages, the production of quality products. However, the implementation of this task requires the presence of an appropriate theoretical base. Which led to the appearance of a fairly significant number of works by scientists and practitioners regarding the problem of the essence and ensuring the quality of products. The results of the analytical study of the scientific provisions regarding the theoretical aspects of product quality indicate the presence of generally several positions of scientists regarding the interpretation of the concept of "product quality". It was established that some positions of scientists are incomplete, others are debatable. Based on the provisions of international and domestic ISO standards, the results of research by scientists, as well as based on the practical experience of enterprises that have successfully implemented a quality management system in their own operations, the author's definition of the essence of the concept of "product quality" is proposed - as a result of the compliance of the product's own characteristics with the requirements ( needs and expectations) of the consumer and other key stakeholders, which (requirements) can be formulated, generally understood, mandatory, as well as not formulated, not generally understood and not mandatory, constantly progress and form their own product characteristics. Compared to the positions available in the scientific literature, this definition reflects all the key aspects of product quality and makes it possible to form an effective approach to its management at the enterprise. In addition, the essence and main types of the product's own characteristics are highlighted. The content of product requirements is revealed. The formulation of the concept of "interested party (stakeholder) of the enterprise" and their list in modern business conditions are given.

The article looks into theoretical aspects of public authorities’ communication strategies aimed at interaction with business entities. The essence of communication strategy and its place in public authorities’ activities are defined. The main functions of communication strategies are outlined: policy formation, efficiency analysis, resources optimization, influence on business community, increasing the efficiency of public administration. The key types (informing, dialogue, consultation and partnership) and means of authorities–business communication are analyzed. It was found that informing and dialogue belong to the tactical level of interaction, consulting can be regarded as tactical-strategic level depending on the existing circumstances, while partnership reflects the strategic level of communications. The peculiarities of authorities’ cooperation with mass media in establishing communications with the business community are revealed in two directions: influence on the target audience through mass media and building ties with the journalistic community to obtain informational support for political activity. The principles of establishing effective communication between authorities and business are summarized: transparency, democracy, making a plan, regulatory support, willingness to interact, information flows coordination, target audience consideration. The stages of a communication strategy development for public policy implementation by a government body in interaction with the business community are defined: definition of the purpose and objectives; stakeholders identification in the business environment for the implementation of the government's economic policy; analysis of the current positioning of the public administration body, its role and place in the information space; development of individual information messages for prior and secondary stakeholders; assessment of the communication capacity of the authority; choosing forms and methods of communication and interaction with stakeholders; determination of the most effective communication channels for each group of stakeholders; development of a working plan for the implementation of the communication strategy; diagnosis of the expected effectiveness of communication strategy.

The article is devoted to the study of state and regional investment in the development of rural areas, taking into account the infrastructural aspect In today's conditions of rapid development of digital technologies, structural economic changes and changes in the state of the surrounding natural environment, it becomes especially important when the environment in which the development of rural areas is characterized by a high degree of uncertainty and unpredictability, the availability of their state and regional support is extremely important. It was established that life in rural areas has its own specifics and features, and its infrastructural support is characterized by the following aspects. It was determined that the issues of state and regional investment require the solution of special problems faced in rural areas, but these problems have, surprisingly, a number of advantages. The main internal factors of state and regional investment with regard to the infrastructural aspect include: level of qualification, intellectual potential, motivation, family traditions, religion, belonging to the social environment, etc. The main external factors of state and regional investment with regard to the infrastructural aspect include: demographic processes, legal norms, infrastructure, the state support system, the level of production development, the state of the natural environment, etc. A comparison of the rural areas of the oblasts was made in terms of infrastructure. The highest level of infrastructural provision is characterized by such regions as: Lviv, Ternopil, and Poltava. Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Transcarpathian regions are characterized by the lowest level of infrastructure support. Also, one of the painful issues noted not only by scientists or practitioners, but by all citizens is the unsatisfactory condition of road surfaces in rural areas. Although in some regions the "Major Construction" Program is being implemented quite successfully
