The role of behavioral economics during the Covid-19 pandemic 行为经济学在Covid-19大流行期间的作用

Over the past few decades, one of the significant events of economic science can be considered the emergence of a new direction of its development, which has been called behavioral economics. Behavioral economics explains why people are not always rational when making decisions. Behavioral economics has made it possible to overcome the socio-economic crisis caused by COVID-19. The state used the concepts of PE to push people towards desirable behavior that helped stabilize the situation, reduce disease, and reduce fear among the population.

The article examines the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection and the subsequent economic and social crises on the acceleration of business digitalization and the need to adapt the system of intangible motivation and stimulation of the organization’s personnel to the existing realities. The importance of ensuring a favorable socio-psychological climate in the company, psychological comfort of employees in the workplace, personalization and actualization of the used intangible motivation tools is reflected. The options for improving the use of the most common methods of intangible motivation are proposed. The relevance of this topic is due to the increasing share of using various methods of intangible motivation in most companies, regardless of geographical location, company size, number of employees, industry, its financial position in the market and other factors that provide an advantage over competitors and other stakeholders. The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of using business process reengineering. The article outlines the theoretical foundations and practical methods of using the business process reengineering mechanism, which allows organizations to fundamentally rethink how they do their work in order to improve customer service, reduce operating costs and ultimately increase profits. In addition, the process of reengineering is considered on the example of the merger of two telecommunications companies.
