The COVID-19 pandemic had and its still having a big impact on mobility since the end of 2018, when it started. Public transportation was already facing issues in all the big metropolitan cities where many people are in the same space at the same time. If we add the COVID-19 consequences and rules, public transit is the main barrier for community members to go back to their daily routines being safe and comfortable. This paper presents the changes in the public transport sector since COVID-19 started and aims to explore the consequences and possible alternatives to mitigate the impact of the pandemic crisis. As research method I decided to analyze and summarize numerous primary sources along with the public transport operators official websites. Both quantitative and qualitative data were used by doing a comprehensive research in ProQuest Central, Coronavirus Research Database, Elsevier ScienceDirect and Web of Science. The results suggest that reduction of mobility has been the first measure to slow the growth of the worldwide COVID-19 cases. However, the transport limitations dont have the same impact for all modes of transport, public transport having one of the most considerable decline so far. In Bucharest, the public transport operators have imposed safety measures such as mask wearing, periodic cleaning, transparency and access to the information. Those aspects are important, but sometimes not sufficient to fight against the pandemic. What this research does is to come and complete the set of safety measures focusing on mitigating the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and increase the safety of the people while using public transport vehicles.

Nowadays, social networks have become a habit for most people, the latter allocating time to check the received messages, view the published pictures and descriptions, but also the videos. Marketing has also taken this phenomenon into account. This research paper was conducted in order to identify the impact that online marketing has had on the promotion of three prestigious universities in Bucharest (Bucharest University of Economic Studies, National University of Political and Administrative Studies and the University of Bucharest) in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main results highlighted the fact that during COVID-19 pandemic students use social networks frequently to find out information about the educational offers provided by universities, but also to be able to be permanently connected to the activities carried out within them.

MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) has shown a significant promise in its industry growth by virtue of its usage in some Indonesia’s big events, such as the 2018 G20 Summit held in Bali. MICE is important for seeing the visitors at a different angle, such as having an insight on the most visited booth of the event, how long the visitors spend time in one booth, and so on. The need of an application on this research for tracking visitors will be high especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, to support the Indonesia economy recovery for years to come, especially on the MICE, a visitor tracking application is developed and tested. The purpose of this research is to develop algorithm for measuring the distance between visitors and the visitor density of a certain area in real time. This algorithm is implemented in the MICE event’s visitor mobile tracking application which uses Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data Analytics as their foundation to embrace the new normal. The six BLE Beacons were tested by a testing app developed using a Javascript framework called React Native. The app is used to capture the packet broadcasted by the Beacons. The app uses a third-party library developed by Kontakt.io. In conclusion, among 6 beacons have been tested, Digoo Bytereal iBeacon BLE 4.0 and DS Beacon V1.0 are the most versatile and will be used in the next experiments.
这款应用使用了Kontakt.io开发的第三方库。综上所述,在已测试的6个信标中,Digoo Bytereal iBeacon BLE 4.0和DS Beacon V1.0是最通用的,将在接下来的实验中使用。

A platform has been created by Innovation in which businesses have chosen activism and functionalism against being influential and actionable and they turn any threat into an opportunity by employing an innovative approach. Since 2019 when the Covid-19 pandemic appeared, besides the contagious effect, it has influenced worldwide business in different aspects. It might be interesting that most of the industries and companies are willing to continue their businesses even after the pandemic with half of their capacity and teleworking. An epidemic of a disease or a virus is not a new crisis and over time, developed and underdeveloped countries have faced this crisis, but some manufacturers and owners have taken advantage of innovation to turn threats into opportunities in business settings to create profitability and promote market development of their products and services. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the need to take advantage of innovation for stability, durability, and sustainability of businesses is felt more than ever. In this article, we investigated economic and social policymaking at public levels compared to the use of innovations and their consequences. Overtaking business competitors, spreading the culture of innovation, creating new job opportunities, turning threats into opportunities, long-term survival of businesses, and creating competitive advantages encourage business owners to make more use of innovation in businesses during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of COVID-19 on financial distress; additionally, this paper also analyzes the link of financial ratio and corporate governance on financial distress. This study uses panel data regression analysis method to estimate the relationship between variables. Financial ratios used in this study are Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) and firm size, meanwhile several corporate governance measurements that are applied in this research consist of institutional ownership, commissionaires independent and board size. The measurement will also be aggregated into its sub-sector which consists of Consumer Goods Industry (CGI), miscellaneous industry and basic and chemical industry. It is found that, COVID-19 pandemic statistically impacted financial distress of manufacturing companies in Indonesia as it is proven by T-Test and also regression analysis method. The result reveals that Debt to Asset (DAR) which is the measurement of leverage owned by company, positively affected financial distress of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The greater the leverage, the greater the risk of financial distress. Despite the discrepancy with previous studies results, the result shows that the numbers of commissionaires independent on manufacturing companies in Indonesia pose significant positive effect on financial distress. Action taken by Chief of Manufacturing companies in Indonesia during this COVID-19 crisis impact the survival of company. Manufacturing companies need to mitigate risk by maintaining higher profitability (ROE) and asset as measured by firm size, lowering debt value. On corporate governance site, companies need to consider limiting the number of independent commissionaires leading the company and gaining more intuitional investor.

The Japanese corporate mindset often tends towards a more conservative stance compared to that of the West. However, Japan has the most companies with a continuous operation history of over 200 years, having survived many turbulent times including pandemics and war. How then, might companies of today learn from Japanese success cases? Sustainability and longevity are commonly based on the successes born from past corporate history, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, severe internal effects, and economic impacts suggests a need for an agility that most Japanese companies are not familiar with. This research utilizes modified unstructured focus groups to investigate IBM Japan’s employees’ perceptions of remote working at the during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic of COVID-19 represented a turning point for educational systems across the world, whether we speak of pre-university systems or university ones. As most of the teaching activities used to happen within offline contexts, moving almost all the processes in an online environment represented a huge challenge for everybody. Thousands of people had to adapt to telework overnight and this situation brought both opportunities as well as unpleasant changes. Hence, the present paper, through descriptive research, intends to analyze from the teachers' point of view, the damages and benefits of telework over the past year and a half. It is our intention in the present study to highlight thoroughly the features of telework in the Romanian educational system, along with an inventory of teachers’ perspectives regarding this change. We assume that such a study is of great importance as the pandemic is not over yet and we envision a future in which telework will become a normal part of the teaching activities. Thereafter, learning from today’s lessons will help us all build a better tomorrow for teaching the next generations.

The Covid-19 pandemic brings effects to global stock market. Information from one country is integrated to the whole world which causes the return transmission between stock markets. This research investigates the return spillover effect between the US (S&P 500), Japanese (Nikkei 225), and Indonesian (JCI) stock market during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic period. Data is examined using Eviews version 12 with Granger-causality test. Results show that S&P 500 and Nikkei 225 indexes influence the return of JCI, but not the other way around. On top of that, S&P 500 and Nikkei 225 indexes influence each other. Moreover, results also indicate that information about Covid-19 is integrated between the US, Japanese, and Indonesian stock market hence affecting the return in JCI. These findings are useful to investors and policymakers regarding to US and Japan economic information which can influence return in JCI.
