The paper presents new method for amplitude and phase calibration of the RF field in FLASH accelerator. The concept is based for detection and measurement of transients induced by single bunch. These transients are very small and it is not possible to detect them without special hardware. The paper presents the measurement system developed for a single bunch induced transient detection. The results of measurement obtained with this system are presented proving its correct operation

A Systemc Test Environment For Spin Network 自旋网络的系统测试环境

Evaluate system on-chip architectures necessitates test boards and applications. For the comparison between the packet-switched micro-network SPIN and the traditional Pi-Bus we have elaborated SystemC components and multi-threads programs. Instead of using a traffic generator analyzer, component flooding the network with packets, we use a true application running on processor MIPS R3000. By that way we have a various traffic much more realistic. This article describes the way to manage the SystemC simulation and gives details about the structure of an application saturating the Pi-Bus. The results show the importance of an increasing bandwith when we use a parallel application, and also reveal the difficulty we can have to saturate the SPIN network with processors

Punsim: an advanced surface potential based MOSFET model Punsim:一种先进的基于表面电位的MOSFET模型

This paper reviews present compact model development and outlines the main features of the PUNSIM, an advanced surface potential-based MOSFET model. The PUNSIM is developed to overcome mainly drawbacks of the traditional surface potential based models and aiming at fulfilling the features: The first-principle derivation of the complete MOSFET surface potential equation; Physics based analytic solution of the surface potential equation; accurate description of inversion charge; Physics based channel current equation and calculation; self-consistently modelling of short-channel effects; Unique parameter scaling technology to ensure the high accuracy parameter extraction. PUNSIM model takes the quite analytic formulation without any need for the smooth function and iteration mathematics, thus posses the surface potential based MOS model high accurate and continuous characteristics while obtaining computation efficiency, a must for the ULSI circuit simulation. The model predictions have also been verified by the numerical analysis and the wide experiment data, proving the PUNSIM validity

Automatic Registration Of The Medical Images - T1- And T2-weighted MR Knee Images 医学图像的自动配准- T1和t2加权MR膝关节图像

This article shows a new method of the automatic registration of T1- and T2-weighted MR knee images. This method is based on the entropy and energy measures of fuzziness and can be used in localization process of cruciate ligament. First, two sequences (T1- and T2-weighted) are converted to a fuzzy representation. Then, the entropy and energy measures are employed in the NCC (normalized cross correlation) and GD (gradient difference) methods. The alignment based on energy and entropy fuzzy measures shows a significant improvement in comparison with the implementation of the original image

The Impact Of Technology Parameters On The Performance Of Common-gate LNAs 技术参数对共栅LNAs性能的影响

In this paper the impact of short channel effects on the performance of common-gate LNAs (CG-LNAs) is presented. It based on the modeling the MOSFET behavior including its intrinsic and extrinsic parasitics in all possible regions of operation. Characteristic performance figures of the used CMOS technology are defined and the bias dependent minimum input reflection coefficient and noise figure is determined. The paper shows furthermore the advantage of biasing the CG-LNA in the moderate inversion region

Reliability (like recoverability and fault tolerance) has often been considered as a crucial quality aspect of the reactive system. In this way, the designer can put great attention and effort into increasing their reliability level. On the other hand, the growing popularity and massive usage these systems on various domains could be noticed. This phenomenon force activities that lead to the improvement of other aspects of this widely understood quality, such as functionality or usability, which are especially important for end users. More engagement and early feedback from the stakeholder is required. For rapid prototyping, testing and evaluation of the system, a new technique based on basic UML models and the Java Real Time platform is proposed

Design And Analysis Of Low Power Low Phase Noise VCO 低功率低相位噪声压控振荡器的设计与分析

In this paper, a novel methodology to implement a LC tank voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with lower phase noise is proposed and verified. A relationship between the phase noise, power consumption and the bias current is fully analysed to improve the performance of the VCO. The architecture of the VCO employs two current mirrors one at the top of the cross-coupled complementary VCO and the other at the tail end to balance the impedance and give the exact replica of the current in both the arms of current mirror circuit. The phase noise measured is -110.9 dBc/Hz at the offset frequency of 100KHz, -126.4 dBc/Hz at 600kHz and -140.5 dBc/Hz at 3MHz from the carrier frequency. The VCO consumes only 1.72mW of power at 2V supply. Results show that a 33% reduction in power consumption is achieved as compared to the VCO using a tail current mirror and 46.75% to the VCO without current mirrors

Experiments Around Sparc Leon-2 For Mpeg Encoding 基于Sparc Leon-2的Mpeg编码实验

In this paper, we present a modified implementation of the Sparc R V8 architecture with multimedia oriented instructions. The purpose of the global project is to improve video compression performances without designing a dedicated co-processor or using an expensive system on chip. In this project we investigate the complexity of modifying a standard processor. We implemented 12 new instructions and use some of them to optimize an algorithm of `Sum of Absolute Difference'. The result was a performance increase by 70% in the execution of this algorithm, allowing us to expect 30% speedup in the execution of a MPEG video compression. The area increase of the integer unit is about 18% and the clock frequency is not significantly modified in a LEON-2 implementing 5 from 12 of the new instructions

A Study On Circuit Design Of Integrated Cmos Analog Matched Filter 集成Cmos模拟匹配滤波器的电路设计研究

In spread spectrum communication receivers a matched filter can be used as the correlator for acquisition and tracking of synchronization. For a mobile communication terminals large power consumption of the matched filter is serious problem because total power consumption is limited. We proposed a new analog matched filter using sample-and-hold (S/H) circuit, which performs correlation operation in fully analog domain, eliminating the need to analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion, so reduces power consumption and chip area. The simulation result shows the proposed analog matched filter would achieve 2.22mW power consumption at a chip rate of 16.67MHz with 3.3V power supply for 15 taps configuration. The proposed analog architecture could improve the performance of mobile terminals
