The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is the most important information technology system supporting, effectively and efficiently, the operation of an organization. If user training is insufficient, it is difficult for users to utilize the ERP system in full capacity. Therefore, the aim of this study is to propose a method for creating a combination flow to understand the ERP system with both IT system and business perspectives in training contents and manuals at the ERP implementation phase. For the evaluation of this study, we applied the method to an actual ERP implementation project and conducted an interview survey to the person in charge of the project. We suggest that the proposed method is effective after evaluating the results of this study against the four points of ERP training.

In bad weather environments such as rainy or snow, car parking becomes difficult. Especially, this makes an impact to some nations since like Japan and Singapore are facing the problem of aging problems. Elder finds it difficult to park their car at night which becomes worse in bad weather. In addition, generally, car parking spaces are narrow which makes the problem more complex. In this paper, we present our preliminary analysis on the performance of different vision sensors, 2D LiDAR, and 3D LiDAR on the basis of the quality point cloud data information and feature detection. Motion planning for auto-car parking depends on the extraction of environmental information. We also present our analysis on the path planning for auto-parking in narrow space on the basis of computational time, path length, and success rate. An approach which utilizes RRT* algorithms is proposed for auto-parking in different parking scenarios with a small model car in the simulation environment.

In recent years, with the progress of economic globalization, corporate and social activities have shifted from vertical integration to horizontal integration. Therefore, the number of collaborative projects in which multiple organizations collaborate is increasing. In such projects, communication between organizations is often a factor in success. Therefore, in this paper, a method for estimating the effect of improving communication between different organizations was examined for collaborative projects with high uncertainty. Since the project is highly unique, the Systems approach focusing on the structure of the project was used as the estimation method. According to the proposed estimation method, the delivery date and cost of the two projects with different uncertainties were compared by changing the degree of communication. As a result, it was confirmed that the effect of improving communication can be grasped quantitatively. These results provide useful suggestions in determining the organizational structure of collaborative projects.

In Tokyo Institute of Technology, Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) has been used since 2017. Moodle not only has effective and user-friendly modules from an educational perspective, but also offers scope for adding other modules in the form of plug-ins. This study introduces some modules we added to this LMS and emphasizes the analytic module. The analytic module has two types of graphs: one for general users and another for administrators. We particularly explain some expected effects of analytic module for administrators.

The number of female deaths caused by breast cancer each year is the second of all causes of death. According to the International Agency for Cancer's Research, early diagnosis can effectively reduce breast cancer mortality. Therefore, our study attempts to construct an automatic X-ray image detection system to help radiologists Interpret the image content to improve the accuracy of diagnosis. In recent years, the development goal of convolutional neural networks is to achieve relatively good accuracy with the least amount of calculation to meet the actual application situation, but ignore the application fields that do not emphasize real-time calculation. Our research will try to use ensemble learning methods to integrate several Efficientnets through two integrated strategies to improve the accuracy of the model. Our study used the DDSM data set, which contains 1329 cases and 5316 digital X-ray images. 641 patients were diagnosed as negative and 688 were diagnosed with benign or malignant tumors. Experimental results show that the accuracy and recall rate of the model can be improved through ensemble learning. The framework proposed in this experiment also achieves an accuracy rate of 87.6 and a recall rate of 91.8%.

In this study, we considered projects in which enterprise service systems are developed using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Many enterprises have started applying AI technologies to their business functions. When introducing AI technologies effectively, it is important to identify suitable business domains in the enterprise before planning projects. We proposed a GQM+Strategies-based method for identifying business domains where AI technologies can be applied and confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method through a real business analysis.

Process mining is a technology that extracts useful information from event logs output from information systems and utilizes it for business process analysis. Conventional process mining approaches do not take into account information about organizational goals, and thus may output process models that inhibit the goal of the organization, for example, “to reduce cost”. To solve such problems, goal-oriented process discovery method was proposed as an existing research. On the other hand, one of the methods to generate process models is process model repair. This method uses a process model and an event log as input, and repairs the existing process model to reproduce all the behaviors observed in the event log. However, the existing process model repair methods do not take into account the information about goals. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a goal-oriented process model repair method. It is easy to visually identify and compare which parts of the existing process model satisfy the goal satisfaction and which parts do not satisfy the goal. In addition, the structure of the model is simpler and closer to the initial model, and its effectiveness can be demonstrated. The effectiveness of the model was confirmed by experimental results.

Retailers often make sales forecasts based on the purchase history data they have. When making forecasts, sales may be influenced by periodic factors such as fashion and climate, so the forecast model may consider periodicity. However, most of the proposed models deal with seasonal fluctuations. There is no doubt that seasonal fluctuations are important, but in order to improve prediction accuracy, it is necessary to pay attention to circular fluctuations as well. In this study, we identified the circular fluctuations in sales by Fourier analysis, and constructed a model with higher prediction accuracy than the conventional ARIMA model by taking that factor into consideration.

In this study, we perform an empirical analysis of text-mining methodology that extracts sentiment information to predict stock returns. We use the Quarterly Japanese Company Handbook, which is a widely-acclaimed quarterly publication on the Japanese stock exchange, but there are few studies using it. As for the sentiment analysis model, we focus on the Supervised Sentiment Extraction via Screening and Topic Modeling (SSESTM). It has been proposed as a sentiment analysis specialized for stock return forecasting and produced a substantial profit in the U.S. stock market. The SSESTM using the stock return as a teacher label, but we propose using the specific return. The stock return can be decomposed into various common factors such as market and size, and firm-specific return. The Quarterly Japanese Company Handbook provides the comments of companies' earnings forecasts, and it is considered more useful for forecasting specific returns than stock returns including common factors. We examine for prediction the specific return in the Japanese market using Quarterly Japanese Company Handbook. As a result, we confirm that the SSESTM model using four years of articles in the training data gave relatively good results for the high quantile stock groups, but not for the low quantile stocks.

While the importance of intellectual property is increasing, there have been many infringement cases pertaining to its rights. As per a survey of students ranging from elementary school students to university students, university students, especially those who have the most contact with society and start using electronic devices voluntarily, have the lowest awareness of information ethics. The main reason for this can be that they are not directly harmed. Thus, in this research, we selected nudge tools that are highly effective with university students particularly. These tools were selected from the nudge-type frameworks that work on their subconscious. We devised an approach to improve their awareness of the copyright infringement prevention using these tools, and confirmed the change in awareness with and without the application of the approach via a questionnaire survey. The approach proposed in this research and the obtained findings are intended to induce voluntary actions, not to control the actions through explicit regulations or rules. In particular, it has a high affinity with the management of organizations with diverse objectives and human resources, such as consortiums and NPOs.
