All the existing constitutive relationships are only corresponding to a special hardness and will be inapplicable when the hardness changes. Therefore, the constitutive relationship that is based on the J-C model and that considers hardness is presented in this paper through considering the influence of hardness on yield strength and tensile strength. The constitutive relationship that considers hardness is built for AISI 4340 steel and the comparison with experimental results shows that this model can correctly express the material's dynamic mechanical performance at different hardness

Performances of a slow sand filter used in tertiary treatment of domestic wastewater were evaluated by a lab scale test. Influent and effluent COD, turbidity, color and total bacterial counts were analyzed for more than one year. All results showed that, performances of the slow sand filter were nearly the same with its filtration rate 0.3 m/h or 0.1 m/h., but decreased dramatically when its filtration rate was increased to 0.5 m/h from 0.3 m/h. Temperature decrease had a significant negative effect on COD removal but not on turbidity or bacterial removal. The schmutzdecke layer contributed more than half quantities of pollutants removal. Average effluent of COD, turbidity, color and total bacterial counts were 34.9 mg/L, 0.6 NTU, 23.3° and 6200 CFU/ml respectively and corresponding removal rates were 43.9%, 89.5%, 55.6% and 73.5% under filtration rate 0.1 m/h in Summer.

The effect of fine aggregates with different gradations, sizes and volume fractions on the compressive strength and creep behavior of asphalt sand was investigated by a systematical experimental study. The fine aggregates were referred to those of sizes smaller than 2.36 mm. 8 types of asphalt sand specimens were designed and used for the uniaxial compression and creep tests conducted at different loading conditions. Obtained experimental results show that the volume fraction was found to have significant effect on the properties of asphalt sand, however, the different size does not result in significant differences in compressive strength and creep behavior of the asphalt sand with 64% volume fraction of fine aggregates.

The basic structure of the single piston hydraulic free piston engine was introduced. And also the main working modes, such as switch between working modes, rebounding test, reposition of the piston assembly, compression and cushion, were illustrated. This paper paid great emphases on the introduction of the structures of the compression chamber and compression piston. It was indicated that the compression time to push the piston move was prolonged with the increasing of the distance between the main port and the trigger port. The increase of the length and angle of the piston wedge would reduce the compression performance, while the cushion performance would be enhanced. With the opening length increasing, the compression time to push the piston move was shorter and the compression performance is improved.

Based on the determined metastable region by static beaker tests, this paper studied cation exchange resin in the treatment of recycling cooling water softening, compared to macroporous porous polymer materials resin white balls, cation exchange resins could be obtained as efficient induced crystallization of nuclear, and effluent achieved the circulating cooling water recharge water quality standard. The best experimental conditions for ion-exchange resin was: pH value for 9.24, the amount of Na2CO3 (concentration 0.05mol/L)for 5.0 ml/L, the amount of resin for 40 g/L, mixing time for 20min, and mixing intensity for 200r/min. Ca2+ removal rate reached 94.8% and 94.8%, and effluent's calcium concentration were 0.52mmol/L. And average moisture content of crystalline product was 20.17%, the calcium ions in the carrier's average crystallization of 27.58mg/g.

In the paper a multi-agent virtual manufacturing system is presented. This system offers a tremendous opportunity for a new kind of communication. The implementation of such a system has been made possible only by the advent of the Internet and distributed programming, increasing the flexibility of the client-server-based approach. The architecture, detailed functional models, and implementation of the system have been presented. As part of the architecture, the concept of an application independent server composed of autonomous modules is proposed. Ideally the user can access the system from any part of the world through the Internet.

With the severe situation of marine environment and ecology in China, why we are faced with such a severe situation is that all kinds of marine pollution and excessive development of marine resources haven't been controlled effectively. The further reason is that the local governments in coastal area can't adhere to the outlook in scientific development in the course of economic development seriously. They only pay attention to the growth of GDP and can't deal with the relation beween the economic development and environmental protection well. This leads to the coastal residents' indifferent consciousness for protecting marine environment. In my opinion, the following work should be done for environmental protection of ocean. The outlook in scientific development must be carried out by local governments and the departments for marne development, and ocean ought to be developed in a scientific way conscientiously. The enterprises with serious pollution must be restricted for continuous expansion. Meanwhile, law enforcement should also be strengthened and some enterprises which pollute ocean must be punished sternly. The coastal residents must encouraged to participate in the marine management for marine environment protection.

Water conservancy project, one of fundamental infrastructures in a country, brings many ecological environment issues while it produces remarkable social and economic benefits. The utilization of the water resources in Gan River main stream is developing quickly in Jiangxi province, and some water conservancy projects have been constructed currently. This paper studied the effects of water conservancy projects on fish eco-environment in Gan River and presented associated countermeasures for the issues. It will be valuable for the fish protection and water resources development.
