Performances optimization of capacitive parallel MEMS switches 电容式并联MEMS开关的性能优化

This paper describes the optimized fabrication of capacitive MEM switch dedicated to both low and high power applications. In order to get a good capacitor ratio, the contact quality of the MEM switch has been optimized. Both metal line roughness and membrane flatness have been investigated. Consequently, insertion losses of 0.13 dB as well as an isolation of 40 dB at 20 GHz have been measured. It corresponds to a 47% contact quality, which is equivalent to those obtained in the state of the art with low power level technologies.

Realization and measurements of planar switchable antenna system 平面可切换天线系统的实现与测量

A novel planar switchable antenna system for wireless communication is presented. This switchable antenna system provides multiple radiation patterns by controlling the status of switches. The antenna system has only one element connected to the RF port without the need for RF switches or phase shifter in the direct RF signal path. The active element is surrounded by parasitic elements symmetrically. In order to realize the switch of different radiation pattern, a control circuit is developed accordingly to control the maximum direction of the pattern. An experimental antenna system is fabricated and tested.

A novel simulation testbed based on HILS (hardware-In-the-loop simulation) technology is described for space-time signal processing in a TDMA anti-jamming smart antenna receiver system. The testbed serves the space-time signal processor as a powerful and effective tool in its verification and debugging. The function and target of the simulation testbed is analyzed first. The architecture of this testbed and the implementation of each sub-system are then detailed. Some key technologies are also presented.

A micromachined wide-band suspended-line coupler at 24GHz for vehicle radar applications 一种用于车载雷达的24GHz微机械宽带悬挂线耦合器

Directional couplers have extensive applications in microwave circuits such as beamforming networks. Recently there has been growing scientific and commercial interest in microwave components for anti-crash and pre-crash systems in cars centered at 24 GHz. In this paper a novel suspended transmission-line 3 dB coupler at 24 GHz is presented. This circuit has been micromachined on a glass-quartz substrate and BCB layers have been used to suspend the transmission lines of the coupler. In this paper simulated and experimental results are presented and the fabrication method described.

The frequency dependences of the reflection and absorption factors of electromagnetic waves are calculated and discussed for the case with the plate, which consists of the dielectric matrix with included spherical-shape single-domain magnetic particles. Two directions of external dc magnetic field, i.e. normal direction and in the plate surface plane are considered.

Investigation into RF feedback for improving the efficiency-linearity trade-off in power amplifiers 射频反馈改善功率放大器效率-线性平衡的研究

Power amplifiers are important blocks in communication systems and their efficiency and linearity are critical performance parameters. In this paper, we present a preliminary investigation into RF feedback systems designed to improve the efficiency-linearity trade-off for power amplifiers. We demonstrate very large potential improvement in trade-off due to feedback and significant actual improvement. In order to fully realise the potential improvement, further work needed is outlined.

Adaptive linearization technique for a multi-port amplifier 多端口放大器的自适应线性化技术

We propose a novel adaptive linearization technique for amplifier arrays. It can miniaturize the array-antenna system. The technique uses the specific intermodulation distortions (IMDs) at the output ports in the array. The detected IMD power level can be used to optimize the linearizer's characteristics. This paper describes the principles, verified both experimentally and mathematically for a 4-port amplifier array. The proposed technique will be a viable solution for multi-user MIMO OFDM downlink systems.

Design-for-manufacturability (DFM) methodology and yield analysis for embedded RF circuits for system-in-package (SiP) applications 用于系统级封装(SiP)应用的嵌入式射频电路的可制造性设计(DFM)方法和良率分析

The rapidly evolving telecommunications market has led to the need for advanced RF circuits. Complex multi-band/multi-mode RF designs require accurate prediction early in the design schedule and time-to-market pressures require that design iterations be kept to a minimum. This paper presents a layout-level, multi-domain DFM methodology and yield optimization technique for embedded RF circuits for SiP-based wireless applications. The proposed concept consists of layout- level statistical diagnosis and yield optimization. The statistical analysis takes into account the effect of the thermo-mechanical stress and the process variations that are incurred in batch fabrication. The results show good correlation with measurement/electromagnetic (EM) data.

This paper describes the design and test results of a high performance low noise amplifier (LNA) for code division multiple access (CDMA) one chip transceiver integrated circuit (IC). The circuits are implemented in a standard 0.35-um Samsung Si/Ge BiCMOS process. The LNA has 4 step forward gain control of 15.8 dB, 4 dB, -7.5 dB, and -21 dB. The measured performance of the proposed LNA at the maximum gain stage shows the noise figure of 1.15 dB and the input 3rd order intercept point (IIP3) of 11 dBin, respectively.

Design and characteristics of high order derivative gaussian pulse generator for DS-UWB DS-UWB高阶导数高斯脉冲发生器的设计与特性

This paper presents a simple ultra wideband pulse generator circuit using only two SRD components. The result shows a Gaussian pulse 340 psec in width. In addition, high order derivative Gaussian filter with microstrip line and parallel stub was designed and fabricated so that DS-UWB pulse generator could reduce the frequency spectrum of WLAN by 25 dB compared to the spectral power of the adjacent UWB band.

The result shows a Gaussian pulse 340 psec in width.
